I am new to app development and just released my first own game on Google Play and over the last few days i realized that it is really challenging to get downloads and good ratings.
Here is my offer to you: You review my app and i'll review yours. If you need downloads and 5 stars, drop a comment here.
My Game: "Reverse Pong" in Google Play
Description: Simple highscore game. Get as many points as you can by hitting the boards with the ball. Play risky by using the top screen edge for bouncing off to get more points. How much can you score? I tell you what, if you play it for 3-4 times you'll be addicted

Apps from the day before have a buffer of a couple hours so you can still grab them for 10cents a couple hours into the next day.

Well its official, i just got off ot the phone with Google Android Market Support and they did confirm that this is legit and that they are on a special sale for christmas as well as they will be adding more soon

Apparently this will happen for ten days. Everyday there will be ten top premium apps for ten cents until the ten days are up. Say that ten times fast lol!

Just came here to post and saw this thread was up. According to what GameLoft posted on Facebook:
"The Android Market 10 Billion App downloads celebration has started! Get Asphalt 6 at 10¢ for the next 24 hours!"
That only explains Asphalt, but maybe the influx of $0.10 apps has something to do with that.
Edit: akiradavis mentioned that right above me.....didn't catch that.

They make a 3D version for our phone. I'm not sure if that one is $0.10, though.

Its a FPS online game which you gain XP and level up and stuff. It's free and SUPER addictive. It is the world's fastest shooter game. It may take a day for you to get the aiming down... I've played Homerun Battle 3D on both the Galaxy S2 and my Prime. What I like most about this game is being able to battle others from around the world online and acquiring better gear as you get better.
Was playing the free version for awhile, but bought it when it was on sale:

I've been wanting to get into this ever since I bought it during the sale too but never have. Does it cram opportunities to buy stuff down my throat? I loathe freemium games.

If you don't mind a baseball game that looks a little cartoony, Baseball Superstars 2011 (Paid version) is your best bet (I would say 2012, but the "freemium" nature is a bit annoying, though I would say I played an entire season and didn't need to buy anything).
The game is surprisingly deep (lots of options and strategy), and really fun to play. You can play the quick games if you want to avoid training, etc
I'm going to add my opinion on this. For a true, manager, pitching/batting team experience, baseball superstars 2011 or 2012. For an arcade, with buying uniforms, DeMarini (Vexxum, CF4/CF5, M2M, Vendetta), Voodoo etc. go for Homerun Battle 3D .... you can play users all over the world. I've played that for the last 1.5 years, recently i moved to Homerun Battle 2, which adds more batting options, characters (you can be a woman), stadiums to play at (outer space, hell, island) and different levels of attaining gold balls (you can play Duel, Survival where your health drops down and you pick which type of ball to throw to your opponent and try to get your health to the top, and Mission mode where you can play 4 other players at the same time and you have to win a certain "mission", say, hit 6 homeruns without a strike). You can also play single player in HB2 and there is a new option as well called "Burning" which will give your thumb pads a workout after playing 5 minutes (mine went numb).
Homerun Battle 3d was my favorite for years now. Both HB3D and HB2 have trial modes so you can play them before you buy
The best one is the one missing the Yankees.

Baseball Superstars 2012, it's not a sim experience, but it's fun to play and has enough depth to keep you interested

I've played this game for months now and haven't bought a single thing, although you do have the opportunity to buy some unique outfits. Unlike some other games you're not required to buy anything to progress in the game...

Hey this is really cool, thanks for sharing it. Now that I've taken a look at your website, I fell inspired to make a small VR project for daydream (a simple model with points that you can teleport too around it) but I simply don't have much time or enough knowledge with unity.
I'll be following some of the tutorials on the website and get back to you. Thanks for this, I've really wanted to develop a VR application.

So I've got the app to work on my phone, a simple app with a bunch of rings that you can fly through as a test. Now I've noticed a lot of lag with many complex shapes so I've turned down the shadow quality but it doesn't help much. So I was wondering if you knew how to bake shadows? Th only moving object in most of my products will just be the player so I don't need real-time shadows as the player does not need a shadow.
