INSTALLATION
0. Make a backup
1. Flash CM10.1 LX 20131108 kernel for your device
2. Enter recovery
3. Wipe data (no need to do if you came from JV-EX 5.x)
4. Flash JellyVanilla EX 6.0
5. Flash UPDATE-JellyVanilla EX 6.1
6. Flash Hallon_dev_files
7. Boot your phone
8. If you get black screen after setting up phone, just press Home button
9. Let the ROM idle for a minute, and... Done !!
WARNING:
If you're going to use JV-EX with language other than English (US), you must flash this pack otherwise your keyboard will FCs

Your ROM is faster than NOS !! But some other 4.2.2 ROMs are faster ??
- Nah, don't ever try to compare this one's performance with it's 4.2.2 brothers.
Why ?? I think u already know, this rom is half CM10.1 and half SONY 4.3 fw.
All SONY 4.3 fw are made for it's HIGH END devices that basically not our device, so they're very hungry in resources.
I HAVE and I WILL do my best to handle the performance degradation of using SONY's fw.
So don't complain to me IF you found this rom has worse performance than other 4.2.2 roms, complain to SONY instead..

This with heavy usage of whatsapp and xda premium, and walk man on all the time.
I suppose it would easily stretch to 20 hrs and even more on standby

i like the rom i am using right now but i find all kitkat based camera very poor so i am going to give this rom a try , hopefully the camera is better

Hello everyone.
Development of JellyVanilla EX 7.0 was started but due to certain unavoidable reasons iiandskater cannot continue the development of the ROM for now.
He unfortunately had to sell his modding device and cannot continue development at this time.
For resuming it as soon as possible he would firstly need a device, that he does not have at the moment.
So this is a request to everyone to please support him appropriately , via donations or any useful stuffs that could be used in furthur development, so that we see a mind-numbing JellyVanilla-Ex 7.0 sooner than ever.

Most of 10.1 roms arent support by cronmods script. But why do you need it? These roms are still in dev stage.

also, memory management is unfortunately very poor, one of the few roms which showed tremendous lags in the first 30 minutes of boot after flashing. :/

well, I thought I had done something wrong hence the lags, :laugh:
And, I disabled the button backlight but it to comes back on shortly after that.

You can't guarantee that.. Mixed reviews for 4.2.2 as its still in dev stage.. But its quite stable for daily use now.. It shouldn't bother you much.. Everything should go good with some here and there minor things.. That shouldnt be a bigg issue..

I copied it from Arc section because i have permission to made Neo thread so when i saw it updated thread. Is this strange
will try this now, ill give feedback later.
Looks really stable, althought Halo I don't know how to use.
With reverse Halo I can close up that bubble but otherwise not...
Anyway its awesome.
Even voice search and "reboot to recovery" works perfectly
lots of improvements compared to last build.
the features of this rom is topnotch. no rom has many features as this rom and they are all working perfectly.
Walkman Vizualization is great. No lag, working like a charm.
This will be my current rom for this week and will observe more.
and gaming on this rom is pretty smooth for a CM10.1 rom, i think because of the new Kernel that comes up with the lowmemorykill.
Playing Virtua Tennis and NFS Most Wanted without lag.
Wat abt free ram???

Loving this Rom. Xperia keyboard ain't lagging, UI is quite smooth and the new Walkman UI is extremely smooth compared to XZ's.
Edit :- I flashed the script provided in the OP and now the launcher lost its smoothnes but it feels like it increased app drawing speed and fluidity in everything but in launcher :-/

So Far ROM is good.
I have one problem, when i Open Gallary and Walkman no photos and no songs are coming.
Can anyone suggest what to do ?
I have done full wipe and installed ROM.

Feedback
1. I think everything is too small, especially Settings, even though I chose Stock UI in ParanoidAndroid Settings.
2. I'm always hitting the wrong button. When I try to do anything I always seem to bring up the semi-circle at the bottom with OSB buttons on it.
3. The ROM is very heavy. After installation I only have 20+ MB remaining in the System partition. But then there is still over 300 MB remaining in the Internal partition.
Maybe JB 4.2.2 is not meant for hardware-limited devices like my Neo V. But I do appreciate that work is still ongoing to improve it further.

patch for hallon http://d-h.st/kCi works with any neo v rom that gives u upside down pic also reddish display in camera ..

As attitude.ssj said 720p disabled by lxp to save ram 22mb ( see 3.4 kernel status of lxp) because of missing camera libs it shows 720p in video recording but basically it is 480p only..

Universal mt15i/NEO/hallon patch for all mt11i/neo v/haida roms gb to kk so on.. Until unless camera is working and it's inverted

Please read the OP! COMPLETELY
It is listed that the ROM Is based on CM11 and Sony does not provide us (and never will) an official kitkat so stop asking this,
as far as browser is concerned opera mini/ chrome do not lag and the lag has been resolved by mike in latest nightly so it will be resolved in next update

Please read my question COMPLETELY. I wasn't asking anything related with Sony and their KitKat support and I didnt ask OP to do anything about that. I was interested in other users experience related to the browser and if the lag was because of the rom or CM11 generally. I appreciate highly OP-s hard work but it would be nice not being yelled at for no reason. Anyway I got the information I was asking for and will try Chrome. The rom is very nice and very smooth, definitely the best experience I've had so far, keep up the good work.

Hi, here are some annoyances I found.
1. "download music info" & "performance control" crash upon [every] startup.
2. status bar is opaque (it's not transparent).
3. "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped", every time I switch themes. Might even cause device to reboot.

1. Goto settings/apps/all/ and disable download music info
It won't annoy anymore
2.you can turn it on in advanced settings or changing the low ram config to false in build.prop
3. You can contact cyanogenmod for that

I really like this rom. It's fast and responsive, but missing some important functions:
- brightness slider on status bar
- torch toggle in QS drawer
- torch on longpress home button on lockscreen (i use torch a lot )
Bugs i have found:
- music fc
- performance controls fc (not anymore after i wiped cache and dalvik once more)
- lost connection with wifi ap once and couldn't reconnect (connecting with nexus 7), this could be nexus problem (custom rom) but the wifi ap worked again when i restarted phone
- built in browser keeps fc-ing after 1-2min of use and it is very laggy when it works
- in reboot menu i have reboot, recovery and DOWNLOAD options - download option takes me to cwm
for those who can't wait for brightness slider:
smokesman suggested: "install this:http://d-h.st/ZV2" - i tried it and it works perfectly
i'm using it now as daily rom as it is the best KK rom i've found for ray, current bugs aren't a deal breaker (the only bug that concerns me is wifi ap, but that could be one time thing) but i am missing torch toggles a lot

i'm using it now as daily rom as it is the best KK rom i've found for ray, current bugs aren't a deal breaker (the only bug that concerns me is wifi ap, but that could be one time thing) but i am missing torch toggles a lot

1. Brightness slider is explicitly not present but slide on statusbar to change brightness does exist.
2. Torch is what i am trying to figure out and i hope with the next release you will have your toch running
3. Music info, just disable it in settings/apps/all and it wont annoy
4. Wifi, brother i never experienced such a thing, wifi works for me like as smooth as butter.
5. Download mode will take to download mode if USB is connected

Hi,
Issues 1 & 2 are now working.
This is one of the smoothest ROMs I've tried for Ray, very fast and responsive. :good:
I got one more question, there is no "torch" switch in picture taking mode (as shown in attached photo) [it is present in video recording though]

As for the brightness slider, I'm using it right now (shown in attachment too), I don't know if this is the same thing you are talking about.

Bugs i have found:
- music fc
- performance controls fc (not anymore after i wiped cache and dalvik once more)

On another rom, I use Xuimod, an Xposed module that allows torch with home button.

Just flash the rom and make only wipe cache and dalvik and you are fine

Hello, i've been using MIUI since GB to JB, and since the MIUIv5 (JB) is too big to our device now, i choose this ROM to be my new one.
but still missing some of the best Features in some ROM. cuz for me, MIUI is Perfect..
now, i suggest.:
1. Torch app, esp. in lockscreen,(hold home button), like the other guy was suggesting Above.
2. data monitoring (the bandwidth displayed on status bar)
3. ***music on lockscreen (not that necessary, only if possible, that would be great. ^_^)
[Q]
4. can we edit icons on lockscreen?
5. does the cam image has to be wide? (i prefer the full 8mp one, not the zoomed, fit on screen)
[minor Prob.]
***6 on #3, this would be a good replacement, [Music app shortcut on lockscreen], the problem is, it doesn't do anything. it just unlocks screen.
