20140120 is the most recent firmware.

How to force the update?

Any idea on how to force the update? I'm stuck with 20140115-1542, wireless update says I'm up to date.
P.

Without knowing what device you have not much I can do to help. There are three TrueSmart models and 4-5 other brands that fall under x201

Sorry for that. It's the Omate TrueSmart 1900/8 Gb. Do you think the update could fix the poor Bluetooth reception and stuttering wireless music when I move the Omate TS away from theBluetooth speaker or headphone?
Thanks for being there, Lokifish! Merci beaucoup!

For your TrueSmart, you are already at the most recent firmware. Your issues with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity are not due to the firmware on your watch. I have the same watch with the same firmware and both Bluetooth and WiFi reception are excellent, several meters at least.
Probably there is a problem with your watch's antennas. Bluetooth and WiFi share one antenna connection, which seems odd to me, but it works on mine. You need yours repaired and that is going to be tricky, at least short-term.

Pairing the G2 with hands-free/sat nav

My (Snooper) sat nav with hands-free function pairs perfectly with my other 3 phones and my G2 pairs with my Tom Tom 720 but not with the Snooper AVN730. I've been told I need a software update or patch, but where do I find this please?

Who told you that you need a software update/patch? If you are on a 2.73.xxx firmware for the G2, you have the latest version for the phone, so perhaps they are talking about a patch for the Snooper?

Dave

Suggested by the company where I bought/had fitted the Snooper & by T-Mobile!
Hmm - what else might be causing the problem? I've been told it's because Bluetooth versions change when new equipment come out, though the Snooper is only a couple of months old too.
I found my way to this site by searching solutions to this problem and apparently someone else got a patch for the G2 phone which sorted the problem out (they had some other sat nav though).
I'll have a go at searching from the Snooper side too but if anyone can suggest other solutions I'd be grateful

Issues with bluetooth via car/hands free

It's paired but it seems like the connection drops in and out, it won't let me make a call.
Hero was working perfectly....ideas?
mine works perfectly in my car, on my head set and my stereo headset
yes, that is a software issue mostly, should be fixed with the next firmware update..
try to play with the settings also.
I haven't done the ota update yet in fear it could prevent rooting. Hmmm, need this to work

i updated mine, maybe that's the fix you're looking for
Can anyone else verify that it didn't work before the update? I might just go a few days without hands free in the car and monitor the s-off thread in development.
Gonna go play with it some more too...will report

I can almost guarantee whoever is rooting this thing shifted their focus to the latest update.
Whatever version is settled upon w/o another OTA will be our rooted firmware. You're ok to update.
Sprint probably had the updates rollout like to throw the developers off anyway.
What kind of car? I have an Infiniti G37, and my Hero would not work after the 2.1 update. I'm hoping the E3D works fine.
hope this works ok in my new truck..ill be mad since my old phone im replacing restarts everytime i connect via bt
Chevy Cruze, the bluetooth wasn't working again this morning on my way to work. I haven't accepted the OTA updates yet. Also this is not a user error, its a connection issues with the phone itself. The phone is paired but will not keep a connection with the car.
Still debating OTA updates...
Edit: My hero worked in the Cruze with Aosp 2.2 and 2.3.4 - I didn't have the car before then.
@op, do you have WiFi on?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
No, WiFi was off.
I tried with WiFi on...no difference. Anyone else driving a cruze that can confirm this happened before but not after the OTA?
Thanks

Do your contacts sync over to your car?
I bought an Evo 3D and now my contacts won't sync over bluetooth to my car! This sucks, I need this essential feature to work or I'll have to return this phone. Dialing from my car is much easier than dialing from the phone. My contacts synced just fine over bluetooth to my car with my old Evo.
The Evo 3D will connect to my car over bluetooth and can act work in "phone audio" mode, but how come the contacts won't sync like before?
Does anyone know if this is an issue caused by the new OTA? Unfortunately, I updated my phone so I could watch Green Hornet.
First of all, could you guys please list as below to clarify the issue. Thanks
1.What is the Rom version or Model of the phone you have use?
2.Car model Brand/ Year / model
3.Which car kit model? Original from the Car or install from car shop?

I've had very good GPS on this device, what region are you in - I'm in the United Kingdom so if region makes a difference I'd be interested to know.
I'm also struggling with GPS on this device. After the 419 ota update I had no GPS at all but after doing a factory reset I get GPS but it keeps dropping out.

GPS issue in South France
Hi guys
Got the same problem with the gps,
It can't get satellite signal (or loses it during the trip)
My car is shown outside the road and/or on another street/road
The speed changes every second while I'm driving with the speed control of my car.
It's the very very bad point of this phone (for the moment at least)
postimg.org/image/aojifnye9
this is one sample how stupidly gps works on this phone , worst ever, lucky i got old BT gps receiver, never thought i will be forced to use it - i was not moving using mapmywalk - ive tryed all MTK fixes, suites, tests etc - got plenty satelites but still getting this stupid result - it finds satelites and than drop them to repeat this endlessly - i guess theres no way that we will be able to fix it , its up to Elephone guys
sry to not post picture propertly, i am not alowed.

I have the same problem in France with the last update the GPS is very poor
1. Disable GPS in preferences
2. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cochibo.gpsstatus
3. Open the APP and reset GPS
4. Enable GPS, restart your desired app
Works perfectly here with stock rom 2016.04.19
Elephone P9000 GPS Problem with Running Apps
I too am having a GPS problems on my Elephone P9000 in the UK and I mostly want to use the GPS to track my running.
It will pick up the satellites but quickly loses them. This is making the phone almost useless for any running app . At the moment I'm also wearing a Microsoft Band 2 which has it's own GPS (but not AGPS) and I'm using fitbit or endomondo on the elephone P9000. I'm therefore getting side by side comparisons of my routes (Microsoft band 2 GPS versus Elephone P9000 GPS). The Elephone P9000 GPS tracking, zig zags a bit (as it loses GPS signal) and has even tracked me going in a small circle when I was in fact going straight up my road! This is resulting in the P9000 showing my distances as much further than they actually are (due to zig zag/errors). Conversely, the Microsoft Band 2 holds it GPS signal much better and the track it shows much more accurately shows where I've walked/run.
I'm very frustrated. I've only just got this phone and was previously ( up t end of April 2016) using an LG G2 running Fitbit / Endomondo with no probems at all. The moment I changed to the Elephone P9000 both applications started showing these problems.
I've tried the GPS fixes, e.g. getting an app to reset the GPS and download a fresh AGPS table before starting up but this does not seem to help at all.
I hope Elephone can fix this P9000 GPS problem as without this I may need to go back to my LG G2 for my running.

I have same issue with GPS. It fix with no problem, but it have really poor quality. I'am using my phone as flying instrument for Paragliding, and accurate GPS is need for me.
Is your "EPO.DAT and EPO.md5" method, really solution for this issue?
If yes, could you please help me out, how exactly fix it?
on MTK devices i saw this behaviour mayn times.
for example for the p6000 , p7000 , m2 , k4000pro , p8000 and p9000
the mtk gps chip is not that good. it works in most regions . but users in germany (including me)
have weak gps connection. there is not much we can do .
personally i use google maps and that works for me very well.
i also tried navigon and copilot but they always lose gps signal...

Yes, the quality of GPs is not good. I resolved as I said.:
Copy the two files downloaded separately in the directory / data / misc and restart the device.
Obviously you have to have the phone with root permissions.

Nougat Bluetooth Quality Issues

Hi
Since updating to Nougat the quality of the bluetooth audio is terrible, it seems to fluctuate between all the time and can get very crackly and hissy.
Is anyone else experiencing anything like this - I updated using LG Bridge.
Thanks
Richard

Don't what could be the problem, using the stock app with a Bluetooth Speaker in my case works the same as with marshmallow
I've emailed LG and got the attached reply - he mentions that there are problems with Android 7, but I think this might be a generic answer to blame android instead of themselves.

It can be True, after all it can be a specific problem with some Speakers, who knows.

Hi,
I also have problems with my Bluetooth (headset Bluejay X2) after the Nougat upgrade. Media works 2-5 minutes, then audio just stops... the device looks connected and the media player continues to play (silently then). I have done all trouble shooting tips I've found and eventually I also did a factory reset, still same problem. I also have an android wear connected (Sony Smartwatch 3)... actually, I will test to disconnect the phone and see if the audio works better then.
Thanks for contacting LG. I will try to do the same; I sincerely hope they will send out a fix soon, as there to my knowledge is no way to (easily) roll back to Marshmallow.

A short update; problem persists. I have tried to clear system cache and now also forced the bluetooth apps to stop. Here I come to a question...
When wanting to clear Bluetooth app, I discover that I have two different apps called "Bluetooth", only difference is that one has version 5.30.18 and one has version 7.0. Should it be like this? If not, is it possible to disable one of them?

Ok, thanks... bummer, thought it might had to do something with the problem. It might have to do with the model of headphones (still a Nougat problem though), but I don't know; don't seem to have the same problem in the car, but I do not use BT audio very much there.
One thing I have noticed on my Jaybird X2's is: when this happens and I trigger "Ok Google" (long pressing the talk button), the audio starts working again (after I cancel the "Ok Google"). So... still confused, but on a higher level

Bluetooth connectivity issue

Hi guys,
Weird issue here - seems like my V30 can't pair with anything.
Headsets, car radio, other Android devices - Nothing is pairing with my device.
Anyone heard of such a thing?
If it helps - I have a T-Mobile device which went through simfree unlocking.
Thanks guys.
Ben.
73.
I've had a higher than normal number of instances when I'm going through the initial pairing process and it's delayed, then I'll get a "unable to pair" message or a device time out, but then when I immediately try again the process works just fine. And on subsequent pairings, the two devices sync up immediately, just like they're supposed to.
But that sounds a whole lot different than the problem yours is experiencing.
Yep, very weird.
Still didn't find what's wrong...
