[Q] mic headset problem - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello xda, i had an ICS stock and all worked perfectly untill one day the mic of the headset stopped working, and the controller too. I thought it was a OS problem, so i tried to install Kitkat from CM snapshot, the 10.3 and allso 10 different MIUIv5 versions, still doesent work(with the 3 wipes). The headset works perfectly in other devices. What can i do? i have a SGS2 and currently im on MIUIv5 3.5.31 Spanish version.
Thank you for your time

Turkbey Rom v3.0 - Unable to use 5.1 surrounded in stock video player

Guys has anyone noticed the above said problem. After putting in the earphone it still says "Unable to use 5.1 surrounded Channel."
How to fix it ??
Does the earphone support 5.1 in first place?
I am coming from VillianROM 3.0 and my earphone worked in that. Even in the original stock rom it worked.
I found the same problem with 1 or 2 other roms that I used earlier...including Litening Rom 6.1
im having the same problem any solution?

[Q] RR 3.8 JB Bluetooth question

Previously I was using RR 3.0.6 and Bluetooth worked as a charm. Yesterday I upgraded to RR 3.8 (very nice ROM! Thank you!) and I am having trouble with Bluetooth connection to car hands-free (Carminat Live system).
After pairing phone connects to hf device but connection gets dropped in about 1 min. After that devices automatically reconnect and disconnect again and again. HF device shows message BT busy when disconnecting.
Exactly same problem has previously appeared with stock i9100 ICS ROM.
Same car, same hf were working on RR 3.0.6 with Siyah kernel.
Here comes my questions. Is there a way to replace Bluetooth in RR 3.8 with the one used in RR 3.0.6 or should I just downgrade to RR 3.0.6 ? If the Bluetooth replacement is possible then how to do that?
Details:
Phone: i9100
Kernel: Siyah 4.1.5
Location: EST

best option in my opinion is to reflash v3.0.6 for now and wait for the next update

After trying multiple ROMs and doing extensive googleing I found a solution for this issue. Maybe this post helps someone in the future.
The problem lies in BluetoothPBAP service. Some cars OEM BT handsfrees have problems communicating to a SGS(2) phones where this service is running. As soon as You stop the service the devices start to get along very nicely (including sync of recent calls list and PB). My solution was to use a AutoStart Manager app to remove BluetoothPBAP from started services and problem solved after next restart. This solution works in rooted phone only to my knowledge.
PS. I did also change daily ROM in process. I use WanamLite latest ICS ROM with included stock-like kernel

[Q] Bluetooth Audio distorted on Custom Roms

I have a problem with Custom ROM's Bluetooth.
I have tried CM10, AOKP and SuperNexus.
With all ROM's there is a problem with Bluetooth (Audio distorted) with my Car System (BMW).
With all Samsung based ROMS (Stock and Omega) all works fine.
Now i tried it with a dual boot environment (SiyahKernel S3 v1.7rc1) -> but same error
has anyone an idea?

[Q] Problems with car connection and my i9300 on 4.4.4

Hello I'm a bit of a noob on the ROMS. I've managed to update my Galaxy SIII (I9300) with some custom roms after a friend of mine rooted my phone. I've tried several different ROMS like CarbonRom 20140713, ArchiDroid 2.5.1, Dirty Unicorns(4.4.4_20140707) LiquedSmooth(20140708) and SaberMod (20140728) and all seems to have problems with making a phone call. As the sound of my in car radio of my toyota auris full hybrid is distorted to the level that a phone call isn't posible. As all of them seem to be 4.4.4 based I think that it's inside the master software of wich all of those custom roms seem to be based (can someone confirm this?). The only rom that works is Android Revolutions (SGS3_52.0) but that seems 4.3 based. Does anyone else has this problem? Is this the right forum to post this question? And what to do as 4.4.4 has some nice features with the wifi connection that I like. Also before rooting the samsung original software worked fine with my inside car system.
Also a strange thing I've removed the bluetooth pairing each time and with the Android revolution I have to fill in a pin code. With all the 4.4.4 versions the connection doesn't ask for a pin code (wich for my car is btw 0000).
I hope someone can help me with a solutions.
Greetings Michael

Headphone Jack only works with MIUI Rom?!

Hello,
I use my Redmi Note 3 Pro (SD) with a custom Rom. But my headphone jack isn't working properly, there are problems like only one side works and weird sounds. Due some circumstandes, I flashed the latest MIUI 9 and discovered, that my headphone jack is working without problems! So now, I want to change my rom again, but I think, there will be the problem with the headphone jack again. Is there some .img file in the MIUI fastboot rom, that I can flash to get it working again?
My sensors weren't working at all, but when I flashed the persist.img from MIUI rom, they worked properly again. So is it possible, that theres something similar for the headphone jack problem?
Greetings
EDIT: LOL - Problem solved. I just tried it and after that MIUI rom (haven't installed custom rom after MIUI rom), it works. I don't know why, but they work fine, in a rom, where they haven't been working before I flashed MIUI.
