need find a version of some software for my 7inch generic tablet as its soft bricked? it firmware says its mid a20 android4.2 v1.3. can any1 help me please?:crying:

Hi, I'm looking for the same firmware. Did you find it? If so, could you please help me

Hello,
I am looking for the same generic firmware for this china 7" tablet, brought from www.chinavasion.com.
It displays the words "DEMO" in red out of the sudden, but everything was working fine. So I did a hard reset, and now it keeps hang at the booting logo screen, not able to boot to the main screen.
Anybody has this problems? Regardless of what brand it is, this is a china tablet, and no support from the reseller, and I believe is not the hardware issue, it is the software issue. Anybody can advise where can I get a generic version of firmware/rom for me to flash this tablet? And the steps if possible.
Many thanks.

Before messing with your firmware, bootloader, recovery program, or rooting you should always do a full backup. That being said the GT-N7102 (and many other Chinese clones) have so many variations and so much misinformation in the phone's system info/webpage descriptions that it is risky to flash the firmware unless you KNOW for sure which clone phone you have, and even then it is risky.
Also there are very few custom ROM's and very few factory ROM's. CLEARLY identify which clone you have and search google. You might find a firmware for your phone.
Good luck.
You can also try restoring by going into your recovery program, factory reset your phone, erase the Davlik cache, and see if that fixes your problem.
MTKDroidTools is a very useful piece of software. I have been playing with a GT-N7102 clone and I have been able to get CWM installed on it, rooted it, and used the secret code so it boots up with the Samsung GT-N7102 boot animation (instead of one of the goofy clone phone boot animations)

You will find the ROM for your clone phone here:
http://www.needrom.com/mobile/haipai-n7102/
You're welcome. I found it easily using Google.
Can't find the rom thai I want.
Does anyone have the Haipai N7102? I bought one, but it cames with the kernel version 3.4.0 (veeeery slow!!). I have searched the google for days, but I can't find the rom with the kernel version 3.0.31. Anyone here has this rom for this phone?
Thanks in advice!
P.S.: the kernel version of the roms in Need Rom is 3.4.0.... :crying:

[Q] I need help regarding ROMs for UBIFS MT6572 based knockoff iPhone 5S

I bought a knockoff iPhone 5S from AliExpress, and it has an iOS 7 interface but it's very slow and laggy. So I decided to look for a custom ROM that is more like AOSP.
Some info about this knockoff:
Model: MF353ZP/A
Build: ALPS.JB3.MP.V1
MT6572 @ 1 GHz
512 MB RAM
2 GB ROM
Internal MicroSD expansion
The problem is, it's very hard to find a custom ROM, and even the closest thing that I could find for an MT6572 based knockoff iPhone 5S looks quite different in system structure than the one that I own. Here is the SPFlashTool scatter file for one of my backups:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And this is the scatter file to the closest custom ROM for an MT6572 knockoff iPhone 5S:
The custom ROM has different addresses, and some extra files like "MBR" and "EBR1".
How can I get any custom ROM to work without bricking my phone?
I have the exact same device and gave up on looking for ROMs as none of the ROMs actually work for this device.
I've spent weeks digging into the hardware aspects of the phone and heres what i know so far.
Processor: MTK 6572 1GHz
RAM: 512 MB (2GB is fake)
Filesystem: NAND (with UBIFS) So don't bother flashing Jeralds ROM thats for emmc + ext4 based phone. 100% guaranteed hard brick if you do flash it.
* Impossible to flash CWM. Tried MTKDroidTools UBIFS not supported, tried CTR 1.1, 2.1 with no luck.
* Tried to use Thunderbolt script to speed it up, won't work on this device since the kernel don't support it.
INCOMPATIBLE ROM NAMES (DONT BOTHER WITH FLASHING THESE)
- 20140102-v02 - EMMC based ROM
- A135MW_BS_V1.4_P1MB4_20131212_ML - closest i can find NAND + UBIFS.. Will flash but bricked, wont turn on at all. If i just flash system.img apps crashes.
- Goophone_i5s_mt6572_jerald - EMMC based ROM
- MF353ZPA Rar - EXT4 based ROM
- 谷蜂定制E09_GH_CN_6572_SV1.2.1_HV2.0_E09JB0F_V02_2013131203-i5sGF - NAND based, will flash but bricked, wont turn on.
Currently i'm thinking to modify the ROM by opening System.img up, but i couldn't find a proper guide or software to open up the UBIFS image, tried mounting with Ubuntu but it simply won't attach.
Our device is not Goophone, ZoPhone, KiPhone or any "branded" knock offs, did some research and the closest "brand" i could relate it to is simply called Mi5S. Google that and you'll find some russian thread detailing about it.

Yeah, it's one of those fake Goophones - a fake knockoff.
Why is it that the MT6572 is clocked in at 1 GHz, when on paper it should be 1.2 GHz? It's an ARM v7 and supposedly has a Mali MP-400 GPU, so it can't be the MT6577 which is actually 1 GHz.

No idea why its clocked at 1 GHz. Its definitely not MT6577 thats for sure.. In the mean time, just a small update, the A135MW ROM i mentioned earlier seems to work, didnt work earlier as i forgot to wipe the device thats why apps crashes, last night I found a slightly better ROM thats very close to our device. I believe our device is codenamed A132MW below is a Google Drive folder shared by one of the russian dude on a russian thread.
1. Open up MF353ZP > A135W_ML_BS
2. Download "i5s.RU.WaReZ.Edition.zip".
3. Unpack it but don't flash all the files (else the phone won't boot or soft bricked)
4. Select your stock ROM that you dumped from MTKDroidTools, but change the System.img with downloaded one, wipe data, cache etc.
ROM is slightly faster but still not up to my expectation.
Inside that Google Drive is a lot of CWM variants, i've tried all of them (both TWRP and CTR) but none seems to work.
Our phone belongs to the "Mi5S" "A132MW NAND UBIFS" variant. Other variants as below (all MT6572, 512MB)
1. A135MW NAND (FS=UBIFS. Barely any difference except the CPU is clocked at 1.2 GHz, System.img is compatible with our phones.)
2. A135 NAND (FS=UBIFS. CPU is clocked at 1 GHz, System.img is compatible with our phone)
3. A135 EMMC (FS=Ext4. Extremely similar to the real GooPhone, roms are intercompatible)
4. A132 EMMC (FS= Ext4. Same as our phones, but emmc+ext4)
Another A132MW ROM just surfaced on Needrom.com but I've yet to try. Will try and report back later.
For the Google Drive Link > drive.google.com/?authuser=0#folders/0B8j-5CDP-TrebXo2ei1COUpPNTA
NeedROM newly surfaced ROM > needrom.com/mobile/iphone-i5s-mf353zp-a-a132-mb4-v1-1
Sounds promising! I have to reconfigure my computer's drivers to detect the MT65xx bootloader thing first before I can try any of the ROMs.
I think my i5S is codenamed A135MW, not A132MW. What shows up when you dial *#3322# into the dialer?
Ugh, my eyes hurt. I'll try another day.
I pressed the download button, plugged in my i5S (turned off) and this is what I see:
@hackerwayne, do you know what's wrong?

Yes, wheres your recovery.img?
And if yours is A135MW, just flash the whole package except the preloader.. Just in case.

Sorry, didnt state it clearly on the last post.. Im talking about the A135MW firmware on the russian Google Drive. And if yours is a A135MW, you've got a better chance as theres TWRP and CTR for this model.

I've tried flashing one of the TWRP recovery images from that Google Drive folder, only to be met with the same error. I'm using the original preloader, just to be safe. Just last night I successfully flashed a new ROM to a STAR N9589 using SP Flash Tool, but this i5S is being a pain.
The Google Drive folder has had some edits made to the folder's titles. The 'A135' folder now only has the TWRP recovery image, and the 'A135_ML_BS' folder now has all those ROMs. Maybe I can use one of those stock official updates?

Looks very similar. On the AliExpress page, it says that it can get 10359 in Antutu. Mine only gets about 8500.
There were ROMs in the post that @hackerwayne posted, but I can't seem to get ROMs nor recoveries to work on my i5S;
I replaced the top and bottom "glass" inserts with real glass iPhone 5S ones. The top one was cracked because I pressed the reset button (the hole in between the camera and the flash) with something that was too big.
It looks much nicer now!

Different computer, but same problem:
Fixed error 8038, flashing either TWRP or CTR breaks the recovery. It reboots itself.
New error now; error 4017 when flashing system.img. I get the same error when flashing the backup stock and the custom ROM.

It's my dumped ROM, and I'm pretty sure I dumped the ROM correctly. I also used MTKDroidTools to prepare the blocks for FlashTool and everything, but it still doesn't work.

Custom ROM for Kiano Pro 7 Dual

Hello experts,
I've a 'pleasure' to use Kiano Pro 7 Dual tablet. Since there's no support from manufacturer side, I'd like to update my device on my own.
I've gone through many topics on this forum but I didn't find any information regarding this particular tablet. There're only some information about Kiano Pro 10 Dual and I'm not sure how information about that model are relevant to my device.
First of all, I'll try to summarize all collected information:
- Before I'll proceed to upgrading, I should do a backup of my device. Unfortunately, I've no idea how to do that. I've tried to use app like ROM Manager but my device isn't supported. I've found this site: (sorry I cannot post any URLs yet) but both images (Kiano PRO 10 DUAL (SN:11461+) and Kiano PRO 10 DUAL (SN:-11460)) aren't valid.
- The only way to update my device is to install custom ROM prepared by Oma. The last one that is compliant with my tablet is CM10.1 which has support for kernel 3.0.8. This rom can be found here: (sorry I cannot post any URLs yet)
Now my questions:
- Do you think that ROM prepared by Oma will be valid for my device?
- Is there any other way in which I'd do a backup of my device?
- To be honest the procedure of upgrading isn't straightforward. There's so many files on Oma's website. Can someone advice my which files I should use?
- I suppose that kernel file which I have to use later on should be retrieved from my backup image. Am I right?
Here is more detailed info about my device:
Model number: rk30sdk
Android version: 4.1.1
Kernel: 3.0.8+, [email protected] #42, SMP PREEMPT Wed Dec 26 12:09 12 CST 2012
Firmware version: (TR733_[email protected]121226)_([email protected])_V411.01_TL12
Build number: RK30_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.00, rk30sdk-eng-4.1.1 JRO03H 20121113.110203 release-keys
I'd appreciate your help! Thanks in advance.
Just one more try in order to reach wider audience.

Thanks for the reply, do you know if there is a guide on how to do an update for this device? Sorry when it comes to these types of problems, i'm not always sure what steps to follow
the thing is its a mtk device so you gonna need 3 tools apps for pc and files
firstly you gonna need the the lollipop file to flash,where to get that i have no clue( i think its packed differently than my samsung cm12 files i work with.then you gonna need the flashing software for mtk devices and your gonna need bootloader unlocked and some drivers for your OS.I fixed a mtk device a few months back and i do have all the files names somewhere.
1-mediatek vcom drivers
2-scatter file(device specific)
3-lollipop img file
4-mtk droid tools
guides are on this site and google,thats how i fixed a bricked pixie2 phone
