Where to find a flashable mj9 file - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have been looking for days. With no luck. But I am trying to find the mj9 firmware in a flashable file. I am still on the mc3 firmware but I want to flash some roms. Most of them require mj9. Can someone please help?

Here's a link where you can grab the MJ9 firmware provided by Beanstown106... ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35833930 ). From what I understand, you need to flash it in Odin to have things work correctly. Here's a link to a post with more detailed instructions on how to Odin flash the tar file... ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50047714 ).
Please make sure to do a thanks to BeansTown106 for the file and sithjedi333 for the helpful instructions.

and thanks to you too. i am new to this device!

No problem. I've had this phone a couple of months and love it. I'm still running Beanstown106's build 22 on 4.1.2/VRAMC3. I've been researching how to install his 4.3 based Rom.... but haven't done it yet because Build 22 is working perfect for me . Good luck man.

If you're on ICS all you have to do is download the superuser.zip from their site and flash through CWM.

Help yourself and learn how to search and read threads. All of the information you need is laid out very simply if you look for it more than 2 seconds. Seriously, why should people help you do something when it would take them more time to explain it than for you to search and learn it very simply yourself?
Asking for help is for when you run into problems that occur outside of following the simple instructions outlined in the various threads related to rooting and ROMing.

Just a quick question about the method that is described above:
Whose work does it come from? Does anyone know whose CWM fix are we flashing through ODIN?

Download this file: http://downloads.androidsu.com/superuser/Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip
Use this CWM: http://thinkleet.de/cwm/cwm-touch-i717-120409.tar.md5
That is an Odin tar you flash as pda.

the superuser file download link is busted, my friend.
Thanks for posting those, but my REAL question was whether these are the same ones that are hosted on the rootgalaxynote.com website at this link:

Does anyone know where his files came from? How come there are no citation credits?

Someone checking for MK2 odin tar?

Okay since im on MDK/ME7 (have two S4's) I cant check Verizon Upgrade assistant or Kies. Is someone checking to see if they have released the odin image? They upgraded the bootloaders (yes I confirmed this myself) so it leads me to believe they will release an odin tar. We need the odin tar for custom roms etc.
To check if they have released it you will have to be on MJ7/MK2 and if Verizon upgrade assisstant says theres an update or says you can use the repair assisstant then that means you can grab the odin tar. Im typing on my phone or id give more detailed instructions on how to grab it. At this point if someone confirms it exists then we'll go from there.

Both the .tar file and a flashable zip exist. I'm running the MK2 modem now, flashed it yesterday. I'll see if I can find the thread and post the link here for you.

The sammobile.com site actually has these the Odin Factory images for our device now including the latest MK2.
I have the MJ7 image downloaded so if someone wants to host this file I can upload it to make it a mirror.
The site has MI1, MJ7, MK2 Rom images.
Unfortunately I have the Developer Edition and can't use any of them.
My 2 cents

I just checked sammobile I couldn't find it there. They usually don't post USA firmware there I thought...maybe I've been out of it for a while or something do you have a link?
I'm a total noob, does this mean I can't root my mk2 phone until these files become available?

The link will allow you to select the device. It won't let you download until you sign on to your account. It may be a slow download since the file is over 1.4GB .

[Q] Restoring to stock MJ7

Hey, so my mom is going to take over my S4 and I was going to return it to stock.
I of course went to this forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301259
Then realizing that it doesn't have the MJ7 tar file for ODIN to flash.
Which one should I use? or could somebody link me to the MJ7 tar file? I looked around google and didn't find anything.
Thank you

Sorry information deleted. Please see other threads
Your link has been shut down by drop box for too much traffic. Can you use androidfilehost.com?
I tried last night after the link got blocked the first time. I couldn't figure out androidfilehost. I think it's a daily thing with Dropbox so maybe try it tomorrow. Or maybe someone else can figure out how to host them elsewhere.

You can use Surges files from his thread to do the same thing. The directions are there too. I did not use the PIT file. Whenever I did that I got bad errors.

The new files gave me issues so I decided to upload the old files he posted that worked for me. I'm going to find another solution today for not being able to access the dropbox link.
This method worked for me. No pit file needed now I'm on nc5 ota rooted

Yea to be honest I am a little confused on what exactly I need to do to downgrade and then also with safestrap. I currently have an s5 but most likely I'm returning it because my friend gave me an s4. I've been reading up getting ready to root and everything but it seems there are different methods for downgrading so not sure what my best bet is...all I know is I am currently on NC5. From my understanding I have to downgrade..root..then go back to NC5 pre rooted and start with safestrap (however that's done) lol...I came from an s3 with an unlocked bootloader so this is all new to me ..any help would be appreciated

Just start out and download the downgrade file. If you need Odin I can upload that as well. Then you just put your phone in download mode. And put the downgrade file in the ap slot and click start. It will fail reboot the phone and then use the downgrade system file in the ap slot and it will complete. Then reboot the phone into recovery mode and wipe the cache and do a factory reset data wipe and you should now be on 4.3

Help!

Hey guys! I updated via kies, and I now tried to Odin so I could send this phone back to Samsung. Odin failed right after aboot, and now fails every time saying fused:6 binary:5. I need to get this phone wiped so I can package it up before I go to work. Thanks

You were either using the MK2 or the MJ7 Odin tar because their binary value is set to 5. Flashing either the NC2 leak or NC5 Odin tar will resolve your issues.

Beat me to it, for future reference you can't downgrade with Odin, anytime you have a failed flash in Odin with a binary value lower than fused value, that's exactly what your trying to do.
As Surge sort of mentions, the only caveat to that rule for our model is downgrading from mk2 to mj7, which have the same binary values because mk2 was a minor upgrade.
