Isis with root? - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Does anyone know how to get Isis working on a rooted M8? Does that fix that was posted for the S4 work?
I have a free 50.00 in there that I wanna spend!
UPDATE: For those asking the same question. If you get xposed framework installed and use the Isis root bypass apk from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425346, it will work just fine.

Works great. Just got my free $50!

If you install Xposed framework, there is a module that will mask root from apps that won't work with a rooted phone.

Sweet thanks will try this

Had a lot of trouble getting this working. Xposed wouldn't install on my m8 and then the Isis said that it wouldn't work with a rooted phone. Here's how I got it to work, YMMV!
I went into xposed and instead of the classical install, I set it to the second option, it downloaded a zip file, rebooted the phone into twrp, installed the zip and then rebooted the phone again normally. After that, I opened up Isis and this time the "phone is rooted" dialogue was gone and now I have my $50 back.
Thanks to the OP for this. Hated to lose that free $50 because it was going to buy my tempered glass screen cover tomorrow and now it still is.

Anyone have GOOD Enterprise running on rooted device?

Hi Community,
I was wondering if anyone has got Good Mobile enterprise email app to work successfully on a rooted device? I tried renaming Superuser but no go, when it tried configuring the device it says it will not run on a rooted phone... If someone has got it working please share.

Huh??
Are you asking if there is a good alternative email that works with Exchange?
If so, try Enhanced Email, works perfectly for the year + I have had it, also allows bypass of the PIN code.

No not exchange, there is an app in the market called "Good" for connecting to an enterprise exchange server. Larger companies have started using this to replace Blackberry devices. They make an app for aOS & iOS.

You can hide the fact that your rooted threw different apps available on the play store. Try a few to see if they will help.
#Root-Hack_Mod*Always\=LTE
I never had an issue with Good and my rooted OG Evo but I don't use it on my LTE Evo.
I am currently running Good for Enterprise on my rooted LTE with no problems. Ran it on stock rooted, Meanrom, and now Tranquility without any problems. Never gave me an error or message about being rooted. I also ran it on my Evo 3d and Evo 0G.
I think it may only check for a rooted device if your company enables the check...The company I work for says on the policy doc that you are not allowed to access the company email with Good if you are rooted and it checks during authentication. I will try those apps on the play store that hide the root status and report back if they work. Thanks for the tips.

Thanks Laie! I found "Hide my root" and it hides the root binaries and temp removes superuser so I think that will work, the app has over 10k DLs and many 5 star ratings...I'm too excited been wanting to root this bad boy since I got it but couldn't because of this issue. I appreciate the idea don't know why I didn't think about that...there is an app for almost every thing these days!

Hi, so did Hide my root work? Don't want to root my Galaxy Nexus (Verizon) and start fresh then realize I can't access Good. I had it rooted a while back and my company definitely has that check enabled
I'd also like to know if OTA Rootkeeper or Hide My Root work for this. I have MobileIron coming down the pipe and would like a way to keep my custom ROM and remove root.

Foxfi STILL blocked after root

The biggest reason I'm looking for an att version of the hox+ Rom is to use tethering while at work. I don't abuse my data it's just real handy to browse when big brother isn't watching
As of now I rooted my hox+ an nd installed foxfi With the add on, but I'm still getting the message "to enable tethering call 611 or go-to my wireless.com
Anyone know of any solutions

Did fox fi ask for root?
See this post to enable wifi tethering. I am using the built-in tether, but I'm pretty sure this would work for Foxfi too.
Update: tried the method at the top of the linked thread, which was to delete ATT_Hotspot .apk and the .odex, with a restart. Neither Fox fi nor the HTC hot spot works yet. Still tells me to call 611.
Trying the second method using the script editor soon.

Let us know if it works for you after doing the FULL steps including the script editor. Just hate to pay any amount of cash to do probably this one thing with as i know nothing about script editing, lol! FOXFI wifi tether working for OTA not rooted!!!

OK so I saw on another thread that there was an update for FOXFI (Pdanet+) for NON ROOTED WIFI access. I updated the app through the playstore and tried it out. It requires you to set up a VPN but after following the directions I hit the wifi option and it worked. :good:
So the question is does VZW see this as a "Mobile hotspot"? It showed up as a mobile hotspot on my phones tray but it did not give me a warning about usage etc. I'm on the unlimited plan.
Could this be what we have been waiting for?!?!?!
i love this app. used to use it on my incredible, but then it broked... but now yay! works great on my DNA. just search for the full key apk to get rid of the usage limit.. if you look hard enough, you'll find it.
I have OTA DNA.. Not working for me. Am I missing something.? Still getting a warning to CALL to subscribe.
I have paid unlocked FoxFi version 2.12.4

Make sure you create a PATTERN lock, not pin lock. Took me forever to figure this out!
I use the pin lock and it works fine.
Was using clockwork tether instead for awhile, but just installed this to give it a try. I didn't know it actually allowed and enabled your phones mobile hotspot. Gotta love getting free apps xD.
it doesnt work
I'm excited to give this a try, but before plunking down the $8, can someone please give a step by step to maximize the number of people for whom this will work?
There appears to be a need to put a pattern lockscreen on...anything else? Download the free version of FoxFi, then purchase the PDANet+ key (link here, you won't find the link on the FoxFi app page...at least, I didn't until a helpful fellow poster directed me to this):

glad you got it working. I'm happy with the phone now LOL

Judging by the guidelines the program, I think you have
to keep it. But yea, this works like a charm. Still wish I could be
rooted, but this will suffice for now.
For those of you that have followed the instructions and its still not working...when in doubt REBOOT the phone. It worked for me.:silly:

You need to delete the certificate you created... Goto settings, security, and under credential storage hit clear credentials. You will have to repeat the entire process to use FoxFi if you want no lock since FoxFi requires the certificate/screen lock.

i hated that too. but do what most people are doing...Sign up for Amex Serve, there prepaid card. then once you create your serve account/card. link your debit, credit or bank to said card. Then you can use your serve card from your device and it will see hey you dont have any money on card and just take from your backup account ie your debit, credit or bank you set up attached to the serve card.

I installed the ISIS 1.9 apk on a rooted Note 3, and it will not run, as it says the app checks to see if the device is rooted and will not activate. Even with using Wanam Xposed to have the status as "official". So it looks like we got screwed again. Can't use Google Wallet, and ISIS won't work if your rooted.

It installed ISIS 1.9 and then the Root Bypass 1.1, but it would not work, so tried the newer Root Bypass 2.0, and still said it wouldn't activate because of being rooted.
Anyone else having issue where it gets all setup but when I go to add a card the list is blank??? It says It's setup but don't see any card to add.

Yea i read that on the note 2 forum as well, that on the 4.4 google wallet is not sim dependant.. and we on note 3 can get the benifit of it. But then again, we gotta wait till Root comes out after 4.4 Lets see how long all this takes. Cant wait to try google wallet. Lots of stores around my area are already flashing this sign on their counters.

Are you sure of the name?? I can't find it in the app store?
I like Google Wallet because they were the first, have a better ui and can accept more cards, but Isis keeps giving me free things and money back.
At work I use Isis on the snack machine to get $1 snacks which turn out free since they give me a $1 back and the 5th snack is free up to $5. They also gave me $25 for signing up with Amex Serve and so far it hasn't run out yet.
Google Wallet used to be a pain to set up, but now they've made it super easy, and with it not being banned and working with KitKat its cake.
Isis on the other hand takes work.
Step 1)Go to Verizon and get an enhanced SIM for free.
Step 2)Download Isis and install
Step 3)Google Xposed, download, install it then install and use modules Rootcloak (to counter Isis's root check) and AppSettings (if you've changed the DPI of the phone).
Step 4)Configure AppSettings and change Isis DPI to stock 480 ONLY if you changed your default system DPI on the phone.
Step 5)Profit... Literally!
Step 3)Google Xposed, download, install it then install and use modules Rootcloak (to counter Isis's root check) and AppSettings (if you've changed the DPI of the phone).
Can you provide some links for this part? Normally I have no issues with the App Store, but I just can not figure out what is what with this one.
Thank you
Search for G2 Xposed on the play store. Install that and follow the tutorial. Then install rootclock.
