Help needed on custom ROM's - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi guys, I am not able to post on development thread because the post count is less. So posting here. I have following gadgets with me. Samsung note N7000,grand duos I9082, galaxy s duos, micromax canvas magnus A117 and A54. I have rooted all phones except A117 which is in warranty.
I have some issues with the custom ROMs on I9082 and s duos.
In I9082 am running the kitkat cosmic ROM. Problem here is am not able to see from which sim the miss calls came. It is not showing the details of sim details in miss call log. Other than that every thing seems to be fine.
On Samsung galaxy s duos I am running pmp ultra ROM v 7.5. There am not getting an option to dual from 2nd sim.
Could anybody please help me here on above issues

There might be a colour set for a specific SIM .. go to settings>Sim management and set it according wise..
And when call comes u'l see the colour of sim for which the call came.. IF ONLY THE CUSTOM ROM HAS SIM MANAGEMENT SETTING..
In setting I have Dual SIM setting. But can't find color change option.

Did anybody facing low speaker volume on Cosmic KitKat Rom in Samsung galaxy grand. My speaker(Normal and External) volume is decreaded. Is there any patch or something to solve this

Maybe , It is a problem with ROM porting . All you have to do is flash a ROM made for your own phone model or just try to update the ROM via OTA updater . It may work

The ROM which i have installed is for the I9082 only. See bellow link.. I can't post any query there because i don't have permission..

How do I enable Dual SIM?
To enable or disable, run the following command from adb or terminal emulator and then reboot. SIM Settings can then be found in Settings -> Multi Sim Settings.
Enable:

Thanks mate, I am aware of above comments, My problem is in call log it is not showing from which sim the call came or called. Normally in dual sim phone call log it will show from which sim the call came or called.

Great . It is just a problem with call log (APK) . You can take it from any other duel sim phones . I will try to modify the app . You had better report it to some devoloper

If you are backed up using CWM, the APK will be somewhere here ----------------------clockworkmod\backup\ (date) \system.ext4.tar
There will be system APKs in Apps. You can find yours and extract it (WinRAR will be goooooooooooooood)
Steps to install phone log ( Or any system App)
1-Copy desired apk to SD-Card (Using USB or something else)
2-Download ES File Explorer OR Root Browser
3-Copy the APK to device/system
4-Change permissions to re-writable
5-Copy APK to device/system/App folder
6-Restart the phone
NB: Both APK files (current in system and the one you intend to install) must have same name

hi friends ,i'm using a sony ericsson x8 phone and it was working on android 2.2 for past few months and i really wanted to try a new custom rom just to experience a bit of Gingerbread.after referring to many articles i managed to get my phone rooted and i downloaded Gingerxperiav10.i installed the custom rom using xrecovery mode and it was successful.after installing gingerxperiav10 (android 2.3.7) it seems everything's working pretty fine including wifi and all major stuff , BUT , except CALL WAITING ... whenever i try to got to the menu in the following way ---- >>> settings>call settings>additional settings>call waiting ....... i see the the check box for 'call waiting' is not checked.so then when i try to check it in order to enable 'call waiting' function it ends up with giving this error message always ... "Call settings error : Network or Sim card error " this is so annoying that i can't find out if my girlfriend is on a call .. i mean even if she's on a call , it won't display on my screen.but the horrible part is if i'm on a call i can still get others calls .. but i can't see other people are on calls.i hope you get my message.please experts .. help me .. a big thank. :good::good:

Hi, people Well I wonder how do I put direct call in my rom, i follow tutorial Tasker but without success on my mobile phone (x8): S But what was wanted in settings where it appears eg GSM ROM settings are used and there appear and I click call comes in and then pop up the option or direct call pick up the call type to a checkbox understand? I have to replace from stock rom and the signal was already out . but in setting can not be set 3G Data and every time I make a call * 123 # signal is lost and changed to "no sim card"

All we have to fix is 1) network problem (ril file ) n one guy had made its fix n we r not even testing tat 2) it doesn't read SD card ... 3)n final error is camera (use 3 rd party app) We gonna fix tat in any cost .........KKK I am new here BT I know this device from 2.5 years so as I said I cannot use any stock based ROM anymore ..... Developer says that this CM is built on a faulty device tree, so RIL fix is near impossible job. However, Sambathpr or someone with similar username he once claimed he had fixed RIL by build prop tweaks
SIM Detection In your build.prop add these lines in system properties section Code: rild.libpath=/system/lib/libreference-ril.so ro.ril.transmitpower=true Phone should now detect SIM but no network. I was studying CM of Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo (the nearest to ours), and observed these There rild.libpath refers to a file called libbrcm-ril.so, whereas in our case its libreference-ril.so They have 4 RIL files in their library libbrcm-ril.so (800kB) libreference-ril.so (29kB) libril.so (14kB) libsecril-client.so (13kB) Whereas we have 3 RIL files libreference-ril.so (650kB or so) libril.so (14kB) libsecril-client.so (13kB) I can't say that we have any file missing (I found these 3 in the stock as well), nor is that we are connected to wrong RIL file (logcat says RIL is connected successfully). So I am not sure here what I can do. Maybe if anybody can aid me in decompiling those files, I may understand the code and can guess what's going around. I will expect Java based coding there, but, well, I do know programming (C++ to be specific), so I may understand what's going around. Also those files are binary and text editors cannot read it unlike build.prop

About Phone Please don't get me wrong, CM development was started in 2013, but even high profile devs could not bring stability in it. So many had thought that custom rom hopes are over, so its hard to believe anyone who claims that cm has got its ril fixed. So if you post these screenshots, we can get a better idea and believe in you. Truly speaking, we too urge for CM. I am ready to offer my full support (whatever I can) but not until April. Click to collapse Even If 1 sim is fixed Its Great News, 2 Sims couldn't work anyways as CM 10.1 doesnt support Dual SIMs, though If we can make cm 10.1 work, I suppose maybe it could be upgraded to 10.2 which supports multi sim from what I know.. I have a sprint Note 3 and its working with tmobile ,the only thing i need help with is to make it work with data ,i get no internet ,i could only text and make calls,Is there a way to mod the apn ? or install a apk that lets me change it ?to epc.t-mobile.com ? and how can i root it with out deleting anything (its a 4.4.2 version)? i just want to be able to root it and make data work on it too ,please help me guys

Click to collapse ok i got it rooted and tmobile working with data ,but i need the correct tmobile apn settings that would work on sprint devices especially the note 3
