[Q] can i put stock android in k900? - Lenovo K900

i've been thinking of replacing the ROM on my lenovo k900. can i flash stock android instead of a custom ROM? if it can be done, any tips on how to do this? if it's not at all possible, any alternative suggestions?
any help would be appreciated.

I sincerely suggest you start reading a little around. You can't just flash any ROM that comes to your mind or in your way. And "stock android" is such a vast term, it's not funny. There is only Qubexs ROM as of now..

[Q] Help w/ installing mod/Kernel on stock N1

Hi all,
First of all, apologies for a very newbie question.
I have a stock N1 with terrible battery life. I have stumbled intersectRaven's mod/Kernel at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653598
I would like to ask how I can install this on my N1, is it just a matter of downloading the right file, renaming it to update.zip and then doing what I've done to update my phone as with official updates?
What do I need to pay attention to and is there a way to revert back to the original rom/Kernel if I'm having issues with this mod or if I want to sell my phone?
Thank you in advance!
You should have the clockworkmod on it. its the easiest way to install kernels. just have the kernel on your phone and click the "install rom from phone" button in the app and it should do the rest for you. I recommend backing up your phone. i never wipe when installing kernels always when doing roms though. Also a good idea is to look for the stock rom for your phone before doing anything to it so you can return it to factory. Goodluck!
Thanks merrick,
I will do some more research regarding the clockworkmod and see if that does the trick!

[Q] My girlfriend needs a new rom

Hey guys,
My girlfriend has samsung galaxy 2 and its freezes all the time.
laggy standard rom is installed and therefore I want to change it.
I'm not familiar with the galaxy 2 device and would really appriciate a kind
advise on which rom should I install for her.
The main requierments are:
1) Hebrew compatability (full like in nexus).
2) fast and stable.
3) good batery.
I want to install a stable good rom for her so she won't need to deal with this things again.
Which rom do you suggest for me to install?
How do I backup her stuff before?
Would appriciate a nice guide on how to perform all of the above (rooting s2 for instance).
Muchas gracias amigos
What rom/firmware is she using right now? And what are the problems?
If you really want to root the device, please look at the stickies for guides. Or use Google, because there are instructions everywhere.
About the stable etc. rom: to be safe you should flash a Samsung based rom. In that case everything pretty much stays the same. But first make sure you really need to flash anything.

Did you try to connect the device to Kies? Official 4.1.2 is out for a long time now, so you should be able to upgrade it without rooting.

Sorry best Rom threads are not permitted on XDA, or any Rom recommendations ect..

[Q] Install Asus stock ROM and remove recovery

Hi!
I have an ATP with CyanogenMod, running Android 4.2. Now, I'm planning to sell my tablet looking for a smaller one, so I want to sell it with stock ROM and without any recovery (as it comes to me at the beginning).
Is it possible? Is there any post with instructions to follow? All your help is welcome.
Best regards

Hello world, can I get some help please?

What's up XDA,it's been awhile.
I'm trying to bring my old beast back to life so that I can pass her along to my son.
It's been quite awhile since I messed with it at all and there are so many threads here to get info from I'm alittle confused.
Right now I'm back to stock running 4.1.1 VRAMC3.
Not rooted and no custom recovery.
I'd like to make my way to pac-man ROM as that is what used to run real good on my Note.
Could someone guide me to a thread I can use to safely root and put a custom recovery on it so I can then flash pac-man?
I believe I was able to bring her out of a bootloop using this thread.http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-galaxy-note-2-rooting-roms-hacks/233850-how-vzw-gnote2-return-100-stock-updated-5-12-13-a.html
I'm just not sure how to proceed from here.
Any help greatly appreciated.

How can I make a higher version rom than the stock rom?

As the title suggests, how do I make a rom which is a more recent version than the stock? I have a Huawei Y625 which doesn't seem to have any custom rom. So I'm stuck with kitkat and really want to upgrade to something like lollipop or above. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me.
check rom porting guides here on xda
