Sprint Beta Tester. - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Hey all I know this is AT&T forums but I currently have a phone that Sprint with no OS and if any developers are curious on getting there roms working on Sprint I am more than Happy to test them out.
Thanks.

Moved to the Troubleshooting forum, and closing this one up.
I like your enthusiasm, but if someone wants to develop a ROM for the Sprint variant, I don't think this is going to entice them.
Why don't you learn basic Android and building from source? You can be the next great Sprint developer!

Sprint And Verizon cooked roms?

Hey guys, before I start I'd like to make it known I've searched high and low and couldn't seem to find a clear answer. so hopefully I can find some answer for not only myself, but a few other members here as well. I have a few friends with the sprint mogul and my girlfriend just got the verizon 8700. I'm always telling them about these cooked roms and that's mainly the reason they ran out and got smart phones. there's only one problem. I can't seem to find any cooked roms for the sprint and verizon phones. I've learned from the hermes forums...that even though its branded different...the roms should still work the same on either one. So i'm guessing its the exact same way. keeping that in mind, I should be able to flash any of the roms here...like the DC rom. Am I correct? will it work? If so, my next question is, phone settings. I'm a gsm dude, so i'm not really familiar with any procedures you guys have to go through for your phone settings an internet settings. Are they any cab files available for sprint and verizon that I can install and have the phone up and running? Thanks for any and all help in advance guys.
can anyone help? or atlease point me in the right direction?
mine is built for sprint and my kitchen will have a vzw package.

thank you much for the response.
Unfortunately, most of the XDA-devs forum deals with mainly GSM phones with users based all over the world (it at least appears to me that US posters is almost a minority on this site).
CDMA devices (Sprint, VZ, Alltel, etc) are huge in the US, but not as popular over seas. In fact, when the Sprint Mogul (6800/titan) was released, XDA originally did not want to make a section for it, claiming that the phone would not be popular enough to discuss amongst other forum members. I joined a group of people who petitioned the moderators to add a section, and clearly they eventually did. However, CDMA devices are discussed at length over at a similiar forum, www.ppcgeeks.com
Personally, I think XDA is a larger and more knowledgable community, so its really a shame that more of the developments aren't happening here. There are a few really good devs that have made the move here (such as DCD, his work is fantastic), and more and more people are finding that they prefer the moderation of XDA over PPCgeeks, but the fact still remains that more development happens over there. For example the "official" kitchens for the CDMA phones are released over there. You'll find many more ROM options (some good, some bad) as well as tutorials and details of the flashing process.
I personally try to be actively involved in both forums. Its the only way to stay on top of the state of the art.

thanks for the reply dcd and Dishe. i'll be hanging tight for that verizon rom. i did go over to ppcgeeks...i dont really like over there too much. for some reason alot of things look a little less serious. i wasn't able to find any roms either. but i did see some good info on the device itself.

[For Devs] Guinea Pig phone ready

Hey MoPho's, How is it hanging in this hemisphere of XDA?
I wasn't able to post this in dev because I never post here, but it looks like this is the way to go for Dev work for the MoPho (I was pretty involved at ppc-geeks for the original touch pro's port of Donut then moved on to sdx-developers for the moment and the epic (which I am also turning into a guinea pig flashed considering I have abused it with all manners of nasty ROMs and tweaks, courtesy of ERA and the ever lovely ACS). I currently have 2 MoPho's, one of which is on network the other is my wifes who couldn't return it to the sprint store (franchised-not corporate) when it started acting weird. I bought her an Evo3D, but I am keeping her phone now because I am deciding to stick with this for the long haul! Lets see what you guys got, any custom builds or things you arent sure of, I carry all 4 phones with me during the day and am constantly noting bugs when there are some. If you want to use my phone for your mad sorcery then PM on here and I will get you my oter contact info (irc/gmail/mystic brain wavelength, etc.)
Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you guys, I'm here to support the development of this, at the moment, very small community and want to help it grow to be as diverse in ROM choice as possible. Let me know whats up!
Thanks,
LT

Sprint Epic Touch 4G ROMs

So, for us Sprint users getting the Galaxy S II right away (tomorrow!), which ROMs if any will work on the Sprint version? Are ROMs for the Galaxy S II going to be carrier specific or will most ROMs work on all editions? I imagine we need ones that have the proper WiMaxx drivers, etc.
Is or will there be a way to filter out those ROMs in the development forum? There are so many editions of this phone it seems there should be sub-forums for each.
Maybe someone could start a sticky thread of which ROMs are available for each edition?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll get our own sub-forum for the Epic 4G Touch, as our model is different in multiple ways from the International version.
Edit:
Oh

Shouldn't be too long or too hard for the devs. The Source code for the sprint phone was ALSO released by Samsung today per this article.

cant wait till there is some roms for this bad boy...If its good now imagine how it will be with a polished rom. I know my evo3d rocks with aosp roms for sure, only time will tell what they can do with this phone. Lets just hope its not too ttooo long
Me too man, I just picked mine up tonight -- still waiting for it to activate (had problems switching from shady t-mobile). But boyyyyy is it pretty and fun to play with ..
still blazing fast right out the box, with a rom and addons this thing is gonna be breaking records I already know .. i asked longtime homie Deck here on xda what to get and he said the HTC Evo 3D .. I picked that thing up, the whole "3D" scheme was terribly, just gave me a headache .. but the 4g touch is ****ing HUGE ..
what more else could you ask for?

[Q] What's it cost for MIUI on Spectrum

There is no spectrum thread, so figured i'd ask this in the Q & A. How much would it cost to pay one of the known developers on this site to port a rom over to the LG Spectrum. I know others have ported the MIUI over to other phones as there was someone that did it for the EVO 3d on this forum. Any Devs up to the challenge and what would it cost via paypal? Can PM me as well if not wanting to discuss here. This phone just isn't given enough props for how good it is, in my opinion.
Agreed!

I will help fund as well! I love and Miui and would love to see a ported rom possibly my Mt or neph in coordination with the Miui team!
I'm working on porting MIUI to the Spectrum as we speak. My time is limited though, so I'm not sure when it will be ready... Hopefully sometime soon.

What has to be done to modify a rom to work on Sprint?

Hey everyone, im about to go full blown and dive into development because of the lack of support for sprint variants. I just want to build a custom rom for the sprint version because I miss custom features and we don't have many devs working with us anymore.
My main question is what do I have to do to get these unified Roms that work on everything else to work with sprint? I'm OK with spending a few weeks just trying to get one to work on my phone. I want to be able to help the sprint community because I love this phone. And now I work for sprint so there's really no switching to T-Mobile or anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I hope to be able to one day contribute fully to the xda community in providing custom mods or Roms for everyone. Just need a little help getting started.
Thanks for any help.
for the first you need to make a custom kernel based on your firmware..did not looked maybe there's a unified one. ?!?
