OK my flashaholics things have changed with Echoe Roms. The master @friedrich420 has gone back to basics. You will find no aroma installer all mods, apps, and launchers can now be found in the Echoe creations app (included) just download what you like and flash in recovery? this gives us a more stable base rom with awesome battery life and no aroma means a smaller zip file to download and store on your SD.

Great ROM, JDS! While I've been quite happy to be running the GPE ROMs, this has given me a chance to try something new, once again. Been running for about six hours now, and can say that everything I've tried so far, is running liken a well oiled machine. Plus, you gotta love the boot sound.

Instructions:
-full wipe is recommended
-flash v2 via cwm
-reboot
-disable recovery flash>yes

Did a clean install and everything is running perfect as far as I can tell so far. WiFi and data working perfect without flashing any modules.
Only thing is Safestrap isn't working now not installs but when I reboot it just starts the rom.
Nice job. I'm really impressed. HD17.1 has been my daily driver for awhile but this seems just as solid.

Cannot Turn on Wi-Fi
I am on MDK...wiped and flashed rom (Ktoonsez is my kernel).
rom booted up fine and everything...no issues. I just cannot turn on the wi-fi switch....its like i try to slide it over and and just moves back to off toggle.

That's carHD , all transparency and all themed.
I have a great backup of this ROM that I flashed with jkruse's patch, definitely worth it for you guys to check out.
On mdk did clean install with kt kernel then flashed loki doki for the heck of it. Everything including wifi works perfect except for the phone app as soon as I click it contacts fc's, I also wiped data on the contacts app but still have same results.

Gotta use the patch he made for ims framework, obviously the systemui in carhd is heavily modified for the transparency.

Ok...installed ROM, and did not reboot...i rebooted back into recovery (TWRP) right after the installation finished, and flashed the patch v25. I selected minimum options and selected the KTOONZ's kernel.
Device booted fine, AND, was able to connect to wifi....but now dialer and contacts fc....
Update: So I had a stock dialer and contacts for nc5 that i was provided and I flashed it, and boom...its working....but all theming is gone on the dialer and contacts...guess I'll wait for the update and fix.....

That's a good start. I have a good ROM running. I wanna try it but it does look complicated to flash it. May be after ironing some of the bugs or if there is a simpler way to flash. Also, is there a way back? I mean if I run into some troubles, can I go back to my FireKat ROM?

By broken video you mean we cannot record video through camera ? and for the keyboard can 3rd party apps be used as a workaround.. I used up all my allocated data else would have tried the rom myself !! Thanks in advance!!
Right. No video recording. It plays video okay. The keyboard works fine exempt when I try to add a new APN
Installed the rom. Following the exact instructions. I must say this ROM is beautiful not choppy runs smooth.
Few initial force closes of everything but after a reboot they all went away.
Screen lock and unlock sounds do not work not much of an issue. Thanks OP for this amazing Christmas gift!

Some elements of the statusbar are english after first boot; make a fast reboot. This happened only for the first boot.

Tips & Info:
1. Since I had recieved too much questions about it, this rom is based on G920F (S6) 5.0.2 Chinese build, with framework edited to run Note 5 Touchwiz 5.1.1 plus various 5.1.1 Note 5 system apps. This is why you'll find 5.1.1 in device info.
Kernel and all part essentially (like GPU drivers, kernel, modules and libs) of course are still S4 5.0.1 one otherwhise device can't run.
2. Hear Uncle Albe, make Wipe Data before installing the rom and don't blame me about stupid and newbie dirty flash
3. Uncheck diagnostic report on security and privacy If you got mobile network disconnected.
4. If while unlocking you randomly get camera open and to speed up the home button disable from the Camera app the opening with the double tap of home button.
5. You got reboot or not complete instalation on OC1/OF1 there a workaround
Please read read read
- Download I9505XXUHPA1 and place on sdcard
- Open FlashFire
- Press the "+" button and select "Flash firmware package"
- Add I9505XXUHPA1
- Select only (System, Cache, Hidden)
- Press on EverRoot and tick "Inject SuperSU"
- Press FLASH then OK.
- After it boot to stock I9505XXUHPA1 , Do the OC1/OF1 instructions to Install this Rom.

Flash went flawlessly...thank you! However, I am unable to connect to Verizon's network. I occassionally get visual notifcation that I have service (reception level icon flashes on) but it quickly disappears and gives me the no network connection icon ("O" with a line through it.)
For the life of me I can not locate APN settings.
Thoughts?

I had modded build.prop and added vzw ril and apn config.
I will dig on this soon since I have non vzw sim I can add apn manualy and its work.
Uncheck diagnostic report on security and privacy it may help as reprted by some users.
finally gave up on the s3 eh :/
Might try this when I get my MicroSD but prolly only for a bit since I abhor the new UI(personal preference)

Still updating safestrap recovery but the superlite ROM will not get any update.
I hate that kernel patched on 5.0.1 but I will get safestrap to work soon.
I got the recovery loaded but not entering the ui. And the hijack method that work at system load time also risky.

I love this rom!

Since the Galaxy S4 does not have a Wacom digitizer and therefore no S-Pen support, how would I use the S Note app? I did note in a quick Google search some mention of a C-Pen being supported, but that is just a plain jane capacitive pen, right? Never mind. I figured out that though the second icon from the left of the S Note widget allows for S-Pen input only, the rightmost one allows for notes to be taken with capacitive input. Nice
One bug to bring to the dev's attention. The proximity sensor does not work. I tried disabling and reenabling it in the dialer settings to no avail. As a result, during a call, the screen will remain on and take inadvertent input from your face pressing up against the screen.

I dont have MDK bootloader but I now that MDK user need to flash loki'd kernel If Im not wrong.
the ROM has stock OC1 kernel that not loki'd and ROM not have script to do that
So the instruction to be as that you enter twrp >> WIPE >> flash the ROM >> flash the loki'd kernel >> reboot

Thanks! This build also seems to run the CPU to very high utilization because my battery drained extremely fast (1% per 5-10 minutes) and my phone was hot to the touch. I don't notice these issues in other ROMs (rooted debloated stock or stang5litre). I like the UI in this ROM the most so I will keep an eye on this and try it out from time to time to see how it progresses. Hope my comments help!

I use a non-MDK S4, specifically one with of1, using the stock kernel. I am relatively new to this mind-bending game of Android rooting because of the shackled-down state of affairs for of1 until recently. I was shocked just a few days ago to find out that rooting was a thing of reality, so I find my nerdy, techie self modding. (I personally haven't done this sort of modding with handheld devices since the days of my HP iPAQ 110, Casio Cassiopeia E-125 and Dell Axim x51v.) My understanding is an oc1 or of1 kernel-updated S4 like mine cannot use anything but stock. I would love to put a custom kernel, like the AIO kernel TW 5.0.1, on it if it is possible. Is it? Thank you for being so helpful!

Yes it will. I made this for DN5 and DN5 is an S7 port. Flash away!

DN5 is Ditto Note 5 I think, it's an S7 ported ROM, if the one you have on your phone is an S7 port maybe it should base on what is said in the first post. To manually remove Touchwiz, use some root uninstaller app like this one but you should first install another launcher like this one just in case something goes wrong and you find yourself without a launcher.
When i click an icon of TW icons, it show message Licence Check Failed. Can you help me?

so in this zip that icon pack included?
if license check fails then its a paid app and illegal to share on xda without dev permission.
@SirHydarnes, I have flashed your mod on my 910G on top of Dr.Ketan's S7 port rom(MM5). After resetting the launcher(Nova to touchwiz) & Theme(Bold UI to Default theme) i began seeing the differences.
* Launcher is fixed to stock DPI(Looking awkward in 400 DPI)
*Toggles are not yet ported(I understand this is a Work In Progress)
*Gallery's album view is customizable, Just pinch out using two fingers.
* I dont know how to Access the new shortcut feature shown in screenshot

The error supposedly shows up as Note 4 is not meant to run this new UX at first place. This is beta version from Samsung with limited Note 5 compatability and it has nothing to do with legal stuff. I tried this on top of my S7 port rom and didn't get such error.
