Tried to get it running and it isn't. Was working fine on my previous HTC desire s and is working on my laptop. Maybe someone of you can confirm that Bluetooth keyboard and mouse doesn't work on our lenovo

I've had no problem with My keyboard and mouse, I've used a Tracer set, so I'm perfectly sure that it can be used.

Hi. What rom are you using?
When you pair and connect the mouse you get a normal mouse pointer on your lenovo screen?
I'm on life rom.
Pozdrawiam

I use stock rom from Lenovo, but changed it a bit 'cause I've switch Lenovo's launcher and use Apex one. And yes, I get normal pointer.

Work perfectly

PS3 Bt headset/wireless keypad works on rooted Honeycomb View tablet

I have successfully paired my ps3 bluetooth headset and wireless keypad to my view running honeycomb (gingerbread with the headset) and they both work flawlessly.
The wireless keypad has a touch mode which enables the keypad to double as a mouse.
It takes some time to get used to using the keypad for full navigation but it's a nice option to have along with bluetooth keyboards.
It's a nice alternative to the $50+ bt keyboards and so much more smaller. Give it a try sometime if any of you have access to these items.
Interesting. Did both work wih Gingerbread?
What did you do to get them paired? I guess there is a special USB cable to hook them to the tablet for pairing?
Are you rooted? Have you modified the build.prop? Is your mic on the headset working or is it just media. I tried to connect my motorola finiti and all I got was media.

I only tried the headset on gingerbread, not the keypad. Pairing is the same for any bt accessory; put the accessory in pairing mode, turn on bluetooth on the tablet then enter the passcode when instructed.

Yes I am rooted. On gingerbread I modified the bt profiles number and set service.brcm.bt.ag_supported to 1. After that I rebooted and made some calls with the headset and the mic worked flawlessly. On honeycomb the bt profiles number is already correct for the same devices so all you need to do is set ag_supported and pair the accessories.

Both work great on honeycomb. On gingerbread I only tested the headset, not the keypad.
I just got one over the weekend, ill try it on the GB view, the pads were on sale for $25 at BB.
So the pad u r using its like a key board and trackball? In other words u can control the tablet completely from the pad ?

Just about. The only downside is you have to switch between touchmode/trackball mode and typing, you can't do both at the same time. It isn't hard though to switch between the two as it has it's own dedicated button to go between the modes.
I haven't tested it with games but honestly that's the only time I prefer to actually touch the screen. Other than that, it's nice to be able to let my tablet sit on my night stand and just control it with the keypad.
And at less than $30 (average) you can't beat the portability factor.
All I can say is between the keypad and the headset I don't always have to be near the tablet to touch it for simple tasks.
No on hc view.

Do you actually have the headset paired to Hands-Free or just Media Audio?
I used the headset to make phone calls on my view tablet.

You are able to use the mic on the BT headset to make calls on Honeycomb? How?
Skype, grooveip. On the headset you also have to press the phone button.

What I mean is that the HFP profile is disabled in Honeycomb. Even if the build.prop is edited it will show, but devices won't actually connect to it. I'm wondering how you got around that issue.
I'm wondering the same exact thing. Can someone shed light on this. My headset won't actually connect either and it's driving me nuts because the build.prop method seemed like a sure fix. Someone please help!
The build prop is not a fix. LEEDroid is working ona a fix, but no solution yet. Check his thread / ROM
I am only interested in the keypad.
Will the PS3 one work on an unrooted/stock evo view?

seriously...

what does hid mean lol
From what I remember HID is not a fully functioning option for Android.
You can use an app to get it working. Do a search on the Market for Bluetooth Keyboard.

No luck with the energy rom and kern... But the Rom is nice ... I Think ill keep my BT keyboard and pray that someone enables L2CAP's in an ICS Rom... The keyboard I'm attempting to pair with my phone is called the rii mini touch 330... It's pretty cool it has a built in touch pad... I wanted to be able to use it to text and as a portable controller for my emulators (gensoid, nesoid, n64) when I attempted to pair it tells me that the L2CAP is disabled on my phone.. :banghead:

Setting UK keyboard layout for USB keyboard..

So I got a USB adapter and plugged my keyboard into it.. Problem is that the layout/key mapping isn't quite right.. Eg @ symbol is appearing above the 2 instead of being above the '
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Sent from my Sony Tablet S using XDA Premium HD app
You can't yet, it's not supported by Gingerbread... Sony did say (quite a few months ago, for the 2011 models) that they are working on an implementation of a keyboard layout switcher. Haven't heard anything since though.
Use a 3rd party app for mappings on my Dropad, but it may require root.
Thanks - What do you use?
Mine works ok, have to make sure the language is in UK English

[Q] plug-in and use normal usb keyboard on s3?

Is it possible to connect a normal USB keyboard, non-wireless, non-bluetooth, just a normal keyboard with the s3?
Would be handy for typing longer emails etc.
Yes, it's possible. You just need a OTG cable.
Sent from my GT-I9300
Is it also possible to use both keyboard and mouse? I can use either with Otg cable but a usb multi plug stops either from working. Is it my cheap multi usb adaptor I wonder?

From the looks of this video it should be possible to connect multiple devices.
I just tried my powered USB hub. My keyboard, mouse, flash drive, printer and my gamepad were all recognized at the same time and worked perfectly.

So it looks like a powered multi usb hub is the only way.

I have a keyboard with a built-in usb port. I can plug my wireless mouse dongle in there and attach the keyboard to my phone without issues. But I guess the technology behind this is a small usb hub as you mentioned already so it's not exactly a new way of solving this.

I wonder what the smallest most portable mouse keyboard combo is?

Logitech has some nice keyboards and mice. If you buy the ones with the orange "Unify" logo, you can use a single Nano Receiver through OTG to use the keyboard and mouse afaik.
However you'll have to pair them on a Windows/Mac computer first.
Depending on how much you like software-hacking, here's a protocol description which probably could allow you to build your own Pairing app for Android
