Increase volume(ULTRA) in DN3 RC2(S5 mod flashed)) - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

I am on DN3 RC2 and flashed S5 mod its a good rom , and i like to increased sound(as i were using boost sound in all previous roms i flashed). So did good research from XDA. After all decided to find ultra volume. And i noticed high volume after using this gain file. Just replace defaul_gain.conf using root explore.
Steps to use the mod are simple-
Download the attached default_gain.rar file.
Extract and find file default_gain.conf
using a root explorer replace default_gain.conf in the system>etc folder.
Backup your original default_gain.conf file in sd card location in case you want to revert back.
ENJOY Ultra volume (tested on dn3v5 its working )

Its working... soo.. much... i think i wont hear after that....

thanks!!!! work perfect.

Hello.
Is it possible to change the volume of the Volume 1 (exemple : for the radio volume is between 1 and 10)
I want to adjuste the volume between 0 and 1. Because vol 1 is to loud for me.
Thank
Sent from my GT-N7100 DN3 V4rc using xda app-developers app

Thank you very much it's working great :good:
but since I am afraid to modify the file my self can you please make another cofig_file with values that rang between ultra and high because I think the ultra volume will seriously harm both the phone speakers and our ears too on the long term
Thanks

hi
Bro this is not copied from your, if wana copy why i should post only a single file ?? I also said that i researched much, that means I am honest to say,its not my work. And also not copied from your post, too. And this is ultra sound more thn 60db. U can also apply this mod and check that this mod will provide u more sound than your mod. Again i say this is not my work.
Thanks

bro you can do it yourself.. just change volumes to 58 or 59.. remember not more than 60 (it may brick your speakers)

Works fine increasing volume on the 900h. Music is insanely loud now. But messes up the dialer. So basically, can listen to music but can't make or receive calls. Wonder if anyone has a workaround for that

What I said was that gb drivers wobt work for ics ...or vise versa....
Its needs different framework ....
Try I on your own ...it won't harm your phone if you have boot loader unlocked...
Lemme know if it works ...

It's not the drivers he's looking for, just the audio files.
Easiest way is to download the ICS ROM, open the .zip file with whatever archive program you want, navigate to the files and push them to your phone using ADB or Root Explorer etc...

[Q] How can I remove XSinfinity sound mod? or any other sound mod from the rom?

Hello , this is my first post
I have been in the android development section for so many time and I cant make a post or reply there because I have to post at least 10 replies in the General section.
Anyway , I dont know whether this question is in the right section or not , But the admins can kindly take care of that.
THE QUESTION :I have been using customs roms posted by developers in the android development section for so long and I know how to edit them after downloading but can anyone tell me how to remove sound mods like Xsinfinity or any other sound mod from the rom? See sometimes i like the whole rom and the music players but what spoils it to me is messing with the sound levels .. so is there a way to remove them ?
Thanks for your time.

The mod most probably replaces the system sound files... So in order to revert back you'll need to restore the backup... Or flash the original sound conf files in cmw..

I think it's much better to reflash the original Rom than to search and replace individual files... Hmm. .. You can backup your apps and contacts... I did the same when sound mod messed up with system files and disabled xloud....

Alright, that was helpful
1)Download Xs-infinity sound mod
2)Unzip (or just open the file) and look for same files in the rom
3)Delete exceeding files (the ones that don't have a correspondant in the same destination)
4) Replace file with same name (sound.lib etc) using ones from a stock or other custom rom
5) ???
6) Mod deleted

Just re flash your Rom. Then it replaced original files.
Guys .. The rom already has this sound mod .. So flashing it again wont do me any good .. Unless u mean that i reflash the stock rom but whats the point then i'll lose the custom rom .. It seems like theres no solution but deleting the files.
The only solution is the one i posted.
If you want you can make a script that will do it using adb shell rm cmd but not many other solutions than this..

[Q] How do I get the 15 step volume media on a custom rom?

I was wondering if there is anyway that I could get the 15 step volume media back on a rom that has 30 step volume media. I'm using the UNLIMITED rom by mv_style and I love everything about it except this. Is there anyway that I could get the 15 step volume media (like in the stock ics) while using mv_style's rom?
I'm using a mini pro with locked bootloader.
Thanks so much!
You need to edit the framework.jar file, instructions can be found here
