Hello guys.. now i wanna share custom kernel for Samsung Galaxy Star Duos GT-S5282. Actually this kernel is only stock kernel with little modified to activate init.d support. I also already build custom kernel for Galaxy Chat from source but unfortunately all testers report to me it doesn't work. So, i wont share it now.
This kernel has. So, no need to install uni init.apk again to enable it.
Changelog kernel :
Fully support init.d (no need to install uni init again)
Insecure
For the next release, I will try to add more features. (if i have free time ).

How to install :
Copy Stock_kernel_mod_GT-S5282.zip to sdcard
Turn off ur device and then go to cwm
Install zip
Select Stock_kernel_mod_GT-S5282.zip
Wait until finish
Reboot system

i've built custom kernel for galaxy star duos but i have problem with how to flash it and make this kernel works properly. i've tried a lot of ways to install it but the result is still softbrick. I don't know whether because size of zImage smaller than stock kernel.

i am too having this same problem when building.. the zImage is only 4mb but stock is 7.9mb

i think i found the problem... nothing board related, drivers stuff etc is enabled by default... O_O
Example SC8810 LCD driver is not chosen by default in Drivers... even if it booted... how would we know it booted without the LCD running.. they have used deafult n... in choice Kconfig ??? and.. and.. so many other config related problems...
i guess... spreadtrum hasn't properly read the Kconfig documentation huh...
anyways.. the only one i know who has sucessfully built a kernel for star is doc... i'm downloading his kernel sources.. let's see if i can get it to boot... :|

First time installing CyanogenMod 10.1 to Neo another ROM:
- Make sure you're running bootloaders unlocked
-Flash the Boot.img provided (Don't flash other boot.img because is different)
"Remember to flash this kernel Instead the one in the rom "
- Copy GApps and CM10.1 ZIPs to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM10.1 zip from internal SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from internal SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!

Neo and NeoV are only different in camera, and camera is buggy for now, so no patch needed.

He can always help out by patching but i have no time cooperating and mostly i need a device for testing for my patches on arc/s before patching other

Download zip file(link below)
Put the zip file in internal/external sdcard
Reboot to CWM recovery
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe Cache partition
Go to advance and wipe Dalvik cache
Go to Mounts and Storage and then Format system
Install zip from sdcard, select the downloaded zip file and click yes
Reboot, and DONE.O

In the change logs it was stated that micromax 4.2 update will have SEMI TRANSPARENT status bar in the update....why thr is no such feature in the stock rom..even after modding and trying a lot i was not able to make the bar transparent...

Installation
1.Firstly flash cwm 6.0.3.7 or 6.0.2.8 as per ur wish but i recommend 6.0.3.7. Dont use Cwm 5 as it will give bootloop.
2. Move the rom into memory card.
3.Boot into cwm recovery by Volume Up + Home + Power key. If you are not able to boot into recovery then try using rom manager or using adb command.
4. Do a wipe data
5. Now, select Flash zip from sd card.
6.Now, select rom.
7. Now flash all given fix(s) zip file also
8.Again do a wipe data and wipe cache.
9. Click Reboot System now.
Enjoy!
P.S.First startup may take some time ,so don't panic.

I found many users complaining about RTL not founded in many roms Cause devs are not arabic, so I managed to make a flashable packsof arabic language made specifically for some roms, and I will add more on demand
There is an already made arabic pack but it doesn't support some roms and cause bootloops to roms with heavy modification on framework.jar
Supported roms :
1-Lenox V3
2-Evo-x 4
3-MiniRom Touchwiz UX
Instructions :
1-Download The proper pack
2-Boot to recovery
3-Mount /system
4-Flash the mod
5-Reboot
If you had bootloop wipe data

ok, upload the "libandroid_runtime.so" and "libwebcore.so" from lib folder and "framework.jar" from framework folder
can you please add a how to guide,i need it to include german in another rom,or is your method only for arabic?thanx in advance.

this to add lockscreen fullscreen
so, if you reversed every thing here it will return normal screen
you will need also a stock rom files to erase changes and add original from Stock
more explain :
Get hyperion files
compare with guide
remove everything related
now get the stock files
add the orignal things you erased
and Voila :highfive:

Hyperion 9 arabic patch dosnt work at all , when flashed they say (bad ) abord flash and when i put it manually with root exxplorer root dosnt start , stay at that galaxy young logo and thats it , please someone help me what should i do to get arabic

Instructions:
1 - If you still have no clue about rooting and CWM installation, refer to this thread.
2 - Install samsung usb drivers,Download Odin, and my twrp recovery.
3 - Open Odin 3.07
4 - Switch off and Go into download mode(Home+Vol down+ power).
5 - Put the recovery.tar file in PDA.(leave other options as they are)
6 - Start Let it flash.After pass you can boot into twrp by Volup+power+home.

oc is depend on kernel not recovery as now we have recoveries working so soon will get kernels too .

Kernel For Overclock Support?
hey Bali .. i hope you are fine , i want to ask .. approximately how long the kernel to Grand 2 we get out?? because I really want to use apps like SetCPU .. and last question, Grand 2 SM-G7102 has 4 cores and highest frequency is 1.19 GHz. So can we OverClock this CPU?? thx anyway..
Issue on TWRP Recovery After Backup...
@balliboxer hey balli... i had this issue from first downloading your TWRP.. sorry i forgot post the issue yesterday .. and the issue is after backup done....the recovery ask if you want to reboot to system now.. when i click that my screen freeze and i must manually reboot the phone... because of that issue after backup i must go back to main menu and click reboot and click reboot system and that works... so balli can you fix this? if you already fix this i can you give me the Flashable zip for the fix? because i dont have windows on my computer.. only mac.. ok thx balli .. Waiting your Replay
