[Q] LG Optimus F5 P875h - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This phone lacks support here in xda. i was used to find everything that i need here for my old phones, on my search i found that the bootloader wasn't been unlocked... why some developer don't do a job on this phone, it would be a great idea because the f5 is a great phone and he deserve to be supported here
PS: Some phones that even aren't sold anymore have a forum, support and active work here, why this one doesn't? :/
PS2: If someone take the first step and unlock the bootloader i can port some roms because i have some experience on this with my old galaxy ace porting the Miui Life, i just don't know how to do what is needed now
Thank you !

is it possible for you to read something about android software before posting here?
For your better understanding:
1.) LG doesnt provides full sources as we need to develop for the P500 device
2.) This version (10b) is very very old
To answer your question:
we only can port complete software and not from all devices to another, it depends
on what hardware the devices have and if a real developer have time to have a look, or better to start a project.

Cyanogenmod for Alcatel OneTouch 918

Hi.. developers! I am just hoping if you could develop cm7 based rom for alcatel ot 918? It is because there is a growing number of users of this unit here in the Philippines. I'm just hoping if you could make an experiment for this device's rom. Thanks!

u have a point. i bought it some weeks ago and as a lover of cynogenmod i plead u make one.
It would be great for this to happen, but as an older phone and one that is extremely hard (and risky) to root, from a dev's POV it wouldn't seem worth all the effort :/

Hi! I finded one, I dont know if it is really a cyanogen mod but it is a true 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. Sometimes it lags but i think for Alcatel OT-918 it is good enought. I will post links when i will have 10 posts because i can not post links if i dont have 10 posts

Hmm I looked for a true JB rom for this phone, and all I got was a 2.3.6 custom rom that got the looks of JB. Was the rom you're talking about the ICS v5 by Mark? Unless you can point me to the real JB 4.1.1 rom, this is what I've worked with. It actually works nice, but it's still in GB.

Can some one be nice enought to help me find a root link ?

Getting Source Codes From Huawei

So, for a month i've been trying to contribute to port CM desprately to my device Huawei y625 .. Snapdragon 200 SoC .. but unfortunately Huawei didn't release the source codes for the device neither on Huawei official site or EMUI site.
And i've been sending E-mails many many times to them to Emuifans and [email protected] .. but no reply anything i can do about that ? .. also was trying to use a CAF kernel but i wasn't able to identify the LCD model .. so i can use a proper display driver.. i really ran out of solutions and i won't be buying a new phone in like a year or more Please any suggestions would be very very appreciated so i can proceed!
and ofcourse all of this would be possible with the help of my fellow friend from LG L Fino forums @christpp he's such an awesome dev. :good: our devices are much similar and has same SoC and he had already ported CM14 for it !
Any contribution would be much loved and appreciated , Thank you !
