Question about thin/lightweight case options - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I'm very careful with my phone, but would like to have some very light protection from a case. What are the thinnest cases, preferably clear or anything that goes well with the style of a black note 3, that are available?
Ideally I would just have a clear "bumper" style case that protects the silver outside edge of the phone, which also keeps the screen off of a surface when set face down. (or perhaps even something that snaps in and replaces the back cover while also protecting the sides)
But if you don't know if anything like that specifically, any and all suggestions for very thin and unobtrusive cases are appreciated!

Spigen Bounce, I Have it and i Love It!

I'm rocking a Puregear slim shell case and love it. For me it has enough protection but still gives you that super slim feel of the awesome phone we have. The back is clear and has a few nubs that keep it from getting all scratch up when you put it down and it has enough of a lip that it protects the screen if you lay it screen down (even with a tempered glass screen protector). The rim of the case is a soft silicone and the back is a polycarbonate. The fit is perfect on the phone and you have perfect access to all of the ports, the hole cutouts are perfect, and the spen is easy to get out. One of the better cases I have bought recently other than my UAG. I got the one with the white rim but they also sell one with a black rim as well. Here is the link to the black:

For 15 bucks you can't go wrong. They even have a thicker case if you don't want the slim shell that's also nice. But if you go a little thicker I would go with a UAG.

Sena UltraSlim for our Notes

Hey everybody, just thought I would give you a heads up on a great product, I plan on getting one for my Note this summer when I get my beast.
http://www.senacases.com/samsung-cases/galaxy-note/ultraslim/
It's the Sena Ultraslim pouch. I had one for my iPhone 3G and for my Captivate, and they are great cases. They are made of high quality leather that is hand stitched and buttery soft. I highly recommend them, as they are great for those of you that like to use your device naked, yet want some ultra thin protection for when it's not in use. Inside the pouch is a soft, velvety material that will somewhat clean the screen of your device as well. The pouch starts out kind of tight to the device, but loosens up a bit with use and conforms to the curves of the device perfectly. It barely adds any thickness or weight to the device as well. I had one white and one black for my iPhone, and a black one for my Captivate. The white can get dirty, as it is leather, but good care will keep it clean. Also, when you take the device out, if you hold it behind the device it can provide a little grip on the device with the leather being warm from your pocket, as the leather grips the plastic of the phone. I plan on getting a white one to match my white Note.
Here is a picture of the white one, they also have black, brown, and red.

Feel free to ask me any questions! And hit thanks if I found a new case for you!
Edit: One note, it does not work very well with Zagg InvisibleShield screen protectors due to the tight fit and the rubbery nature of those protectors. However, most high gloss or matte protectors have no troubles at all.
Wow
I really wish there was a design like this but as a case instead. It would be nearly the same thing. Maybe a flap on the top to tuck in and close it, with cutouts for the screen, buttons, and USB.
The only options we have right now for leather cases are either bulky, or flip. no thanks.
I'm tempted to order this and see if I can make the appropriate cutouts myself.
I just submitted a comment to them suggesting this.

Leather Slickwrap, need thin hard layer underneath

Hey, I bought a Slickwrap a very long time ago during a promo but never applied it. I'm getting bored of the Midnight Blue back. How slippery it is also plays a role.
Anyway, I've heard that removing the original back and directly applying the leather skin is suboptimal. Consider the picture below/attached. I heard that the holes in the chassis result in noticeable depressions on the surface of the skin. Slickwraps used to sell a very thin back that provided rigidity underneath that soft leather. Does anyone know of a good alternative? I considered getting another skin, but I'm not confident that would provide enough rigidity.
The reason I wouldn't apply it directly to the stock back is because then the device would be too thick to fit in my Diztronic or Ringke Slim.

I've used all of the Natural line of wraps at slickwraps at one point or another on my N6. I was lucky to have purchased the plastic "replacement" back they sold optionally then.
I've seen others suggest that applying a thicker vinyl skin helps but if I were you I'd look into buying a 8x11 sheet of thin plastic from one of several places online. There is a thread on XDA with links but a quick Google search would net several sources I'm betting. Your correct in not applying it directly to the device's mid frame, it will show every indentation and lump and look horrible.

Hi m8, I am currently running a dbrand skin and in the past I also tried slickwrap one and they fit very nicely inside a case. I have distronic, CaseMate and Spigen and I wont interfere.
The tough indents to hide are the two large ones on the left and right about an inch from the bottom. I cut out (pretty precisely), and placed two pieces of paper the exact shape of the cutaways and it worked for me.
Maybe you could buy the adhesive alone, and try to get some back protector films, just like the ones for screen. and then apply slickwrap on it.
Another thing to watch out for on the real leather slickwraps is the color coming off! I bought a black one and , while it did look nice for awhile, the black color came off on my microsuction wireless charger, and every time I wiped it clean with nothing but a water-dampened cloth. Pity, it looked so nice at the start.
My copy is on its way as well. My thought was to maybe use an old glass screen protector. Would this work or is the curve of the back too much?

TSCASE Brown Leather Case Review!

So I stumbled upon this case on Amazon when searching for either a nice leather or faux leather case for my S7, and I was sick of the only ones available being those portfolio cases that cover the front. All I wanted was a case that was either a tpu style, or one that reminds me of the Incipio Feather or Spigen Slim Fit where the phone just pops in but the tops/bottoms are exposed....well I found this Tscase brand case and this thing is honestly awesome.

The leather feel on the back is really soft and smooth, and I chose the regular brown one instead of the netted, although the netted looks cool too.

the nice thing about this case is that it comes up over the corners, so the corners aren't so exposed. the top and bottom are exposed, yeah, but as you can see in the pics the corners are fine.
there's also a small lip around the screen so placing it screen down isn't an issue. plus, it pretty much hugs the sides, so i'm sure putting a screen protector that goes edge to edge wouldn't be an issue with this case.
overall, i'm so glad i found a cool leather case for this thing, and for a fraction of the cost of what the official samsung one is going to cost! i recommend this case if you like a thin, leather, good looking case!

Look nice... what screen protector are you using

the 10 dollar verizon branded ones. they're meh. don't mind the top corner by the ear piece lol...when i put it into gear VR one day it ripped it up and although i'm OCD and it bothers me, i'm way too lazy to put another one on.
plus within a week of having it on, i got a huge gash, so these screen protectors scratch easily. and obviously the sides have that effect because the glass curves.
overall, i only got them bc i needed them day one.
Can't find this in Amazon Canada? Other than Amazon US/UK, anyone know where I can pick one up?
hmm not sure. maybe they just aren't setup to ship in canada? it's a really nice case, though.
I bought the same case and I absolutely love it. I'm interested to see how well it holds up and how it weathers.

it's a great case. i just got the spigen crystal screen protector that wraps around the edges of the phone, and it fits perfectly with this case.

Poetic Revolution Case S7 Review!

So I decided to get a heavy duty case as a backup, so I went with the Poetic Revolution. It'll definitely handle being more rough on the phone, yet it doesn't add much more bulk than the Quarterback series case does.
The case itself is a two piece...there's a hard plastic with the built in screen protector, and then a nice rubbery TPU wraps around it. It's easy to take apart and put together. There's flaps over the bottom of the case to protect the ports, even though since the phone is waterproof it really doesn't need them.
The back is that rubbery TPU, but it's a little bit slick. It's not hard plastic like the quarterback so it has a bit more resistance to sliding around. The sides have nice rubbery grip, and the buttons are easy to push.
I'm not a huge fan of cases with built in screen protectors, but I figured I'd get one to have just in case...but the protector is less than desirable. It accumulates fingerprints much more so than a regular screen protector would. If anything, just like on the Tab S revolution cases, you may want to attempt to cut the built in protector out. I won't bother because I like having full protection incase I ever need it, but it's something to think about.

haha yep. it's a great protector. scratches easily though so that's annoying. but it fits well.

Does it interfere with wireless charging? My lifeproof fre doesnt but the screen protector on the s7 fre is atrocious. So much so I am using a tech21 at the moment without a screen cover.

Pixel - Caseology Vault and Choetech Tempered Glass Screen protector review

I just got my Pixel last night and immediately put on a case and screen protector.
Caseology Vault Series Case
Choetech Tempered Glass Screen Protector
I'll start with the case: The case feels dense and feels like it will help with any drops. I had to get a opaque case because I put a magnet inside on the back of the case for my car mount. The case fits snuggly and the phone can easily be put in and removed from the case. The cuts outs look to be exact and you can put regular sized 3.5mm headphone jack into it ( Most headphone's will fit but if you get something with a fatter head, it may not fit).

The look of the case is what was advertised - gives sort of a brushed metal look in the back and carbon fiber design around the camera. The raised lip should give you protection incase you drop it screen down onto the ground.
Maybe my fingers are wimpy but the edges of the case dig into my pinky when I'm texting and holding the phone for some periods of time but that's minor issue. The case itself is pretty thin and even with the case on the buttons are clicky and responsive.
The Choetech screen protector fits the screen but you will see that it is exactly the width of the screen so it has 0 forgiveness if you are slightly off. Mine is slightly off and I'm trying not to focus too much on it but it really friggin bugs me. I wish they would have made it slightly wider by a few mm's for a small % of error when applying.
Overall, it feels like glass and it doesn't get much finger prints on it. When if does, you can easily wipe is off with your shirt or a rag.
I'd definitely recommend the case and the screen protector but I will probably write a request to Choetech to see if they're willing to make the width of the screen protector bigger.
Good to see more TGSP that's properly cut to cover the LCD and actually sticks.
The case looks even better on a black pixel. Enjoy mate.
