I have found an interesting launcher which is approximately ~ 388 kb!!
Though there are many launchers available everywhere which are quite interesting but the thing that annoys much is their size!!
Requirements : Requires Android 2.2 and up.
Some Features:
1. Light in size (~ 388 kb)
2. Faster than many of the available launchers..
3. great graphics/ icons
4. new folders layout
5. smoother vertical apps grid scrolling
6. ics: manage wallpapers defaulted
7. ics: fixed dock bootstrapping for browser.
8. no special requirements.
9. ics: preferences icon updated.
DO THIS IF YOU WANT KIT KAT STYLE (ANY ANDROID VERSION!) VERY EASY TO DO :
After applying launcher..
GO TO PREFERENCES>APPLICATIONS GRID>APPEARANCE>TRANSPARENCY>DRAG IT TO "0".
FOR DOCK:
GO TO PREFERENCES>DOCK>BACKGROUND>SEARCH FOR TRANSPARENT & SELECT IT!

yaa this is made for low memory devices but i dont like too much heavy launchers like go launcher, nova etc..
i found this launcher very fast and smooth! maybe this launcher doesnt contain advanced features like nova etc but its simple and one of its own kind!
btw dude i srsly like ua work...and no new rom?
*though i know u like/ build stock based roms but plz make kit kat rom if possible! :fingers-crossed:

Yes, I always install NOVA launcher and remove Trebuchet from CM11 because it was little laggy. Without any problem.

its good and all, but it just looks like a watered down go launcher with a different look, And Its not nearly as fast as Go launcher , but this is still in development i guess, so yeah ill stick with go launcher till this gets updated

Does anyone know of an rooted S2 ROM that is pretty much stock Samsung ICS 4.03 that gives me 5 horizontal icons on home screen and 5 x 5 in the apps drawer.
Alternatively any way to achieve this this with an existing rooted ROM?
Don't want to do it through an alternative launcher as I am happy with TW.

TW wont do that out of the box.
Look into TW 4.5 - not sure if it'll work on ICS, but I used it on GB and it allowed you to change the grid size IIRC.
Oh and it's a launcher thing, not a ROM thing.
Otherwise, find other launcher i guess...
Use apex launcher
On home screen touch the menu key
Go apex settings > home screen settings > portrait grid
Change to 5x5 or whatever u want

Thanks for that I have TW4.5 on my current ROM which is running 4.0.3 and have had on previous ROM's but this is the first time I have seen 5 horizontal icons on the home page, had never seen it as an option either.
I will investigate some more as I don't really want to use another launcher.
It's not even funny to post "Rom Challenge " in android development section.

Guys am currently away from my pc from monday to thursday..i will infact upload wallpaper scrolling versions of my mods.Will also try to move Menu button to middle and lower the dock just a little bit more :] just give me a few days as am working on other mods aswell

Requirements :

2-A place on your home screen

How To :
1- Download and Install UCCW
2-Add a new widget [UCCW 1x1]
3-Wait until you can touch it
4-Touch it then go to "create a new skin"
5-Press on Alpha then make it 0
6-Now choose "Select Option"on the top of the screen and select Hotspots
7-Select Height and make it 550 and Width to 400
8-Now choose HotSpots and go to Apps .. Choose your desired app
9-You are done now dont forget to enable hotspots in the settings of UCCW app

yeah i know, but since alot of people use custom launchers that (most of them) support icon changes on homescreen, it's an easier, faster way. just fyi for all people here using i.e. nova that they dont have to go through all of this.

You can say that I did this guide for people who are on Xperia gx launcher as there isn't any transparent icons.

This are a modded launcher for Touchwiz XXDLL7.
The work not go to me but to blgblade that create the Patcher and give it us. I simple path and install it and start the mod.
There are all size launcher (16 Types) with scrolling animation On/Off u have to choose only what u want.
Work on All Deodexed Rom that use Touchwiz.
If u want it in Odexed Rom simple remove the seclauncher2.odex.apk and then flash the zip u want.

Don't say all sizes if it only adds a few. Not so hard. Anything below 6x6 is way too small for note 2 for my taste. If it says all sizes i think that it actually does what it says. So think again. I really thought 6x6 as small as it is would be on this cause it has it all. But np.
And totally out of the point. The world was supposed to end. Why is my phone working?
And to my short original post i just asked why advertise all sizes and give only a few extra to original without any real changes (only 1x2 bigger) and you think now i should start coding a program (well my original post wasn't that long, did not have any words that could harm anyones mind). Jeez.. and i made "irrespectfull" (is that even a word) comment? Only asked one simple question without any hate. Merry Xmas to you and a lot happier new year (really.. take a chillpill or hit a bong, do something .. try smiling)
