[Q] MegaFire bluetooth issue - Samsung Galaxy Mega

I'm using and enjoying the excellent MegaFireMj2V6 on my Galaxy Mega 6.3, but I've come up against a problem with Bluetooth. I'm unable to connect my car to the phone. Connection begins but I then get the "Unfortunately Bluetooth Share has stopped" error. I have a Smartwatch which connects flawlessly. I've tried disassociating the watch but that didn't help with connecting the car (though that would not be a satisfactory solution anyway, I do need both devices to connect simultaneously).
Has anyone had similar experiences, does anyone know of a fix or workaround?
Cheers.

I know there was no real response to this thread, but just in case anyone looked this up and is interested:
My problem solved itself. I tried for 24 hours to get both devices to work simultaneously, and having given up, I got into the car the next day, and Bluetooth was good as gold, connecting flawlessly! And it's worked ever since. I have no idea why, it's absolutely nothing that I did, it just decided to work! Bluetooth is weird!

Jepp, having troubles too. Can pair with my HTC desire and my netbook, but connecting isn't possible. On my netbook there are no BT services showing up for the Archos, which is the reason a connection fails.
i was finally able to get my archos to see and pair with my headphones but it will still not let audio stream. so it will not fully connect, it says unable to pair with this device. this is a problem with archos because these headphones have paired with a dozen other devices no problem.
I've had problems getting my WiiMotes to connect. I have gotten them to connect twice - each time it was after a firmware flash. Once I d/c them I cannot get them to connect again.
Real bummer - wanted to play some SNES...
Yes, many ppl have had serious issues trying to connect an Archos Gen8 to their phones. So far, Droids seem to be the most "connectable" with the Archos. My rooted Moto Cliq with tethering enabled has never been able to connect no matter what I try (bluetooth or WiFi).
My only hope is that when the A70 gets rooted, there will be a custom firmware that actually makes tethering work properly. I'm fairly certain that it's a problem with Archos' software.
Nokia's seem to be connecting also through BT. I've read people with oldies like mine (E71, E72, E63, 5800s, etc.) that can teether and connect without problems. Haven't tried a headset yet though.

HTC Mozart bluetooth causing reboots

Hi
I have had my mozart for about 6 weeks, and been using it in the car with my BMW Bluetooth.
3 days ago, the phone must have re-booted 20times in one hour while in the car. I turned off bluetooth on the phone. The phone stopped re-booting
I am not the only one with this issue. My boss has the same issue and she has a Jag.
I cannot find anything on this!
has no one else seen this!?
i use a sony hands free kit via bluetooth and im finding that once i disconnect and try to make a call, the person im calling cant hear me. but once i resart the phone its fine. im guessing this is a bug that may get fixed when the update comes out. hopefully you may find the same.

Same with Opel Astra. It was working fine for one week but now it keeps restarting.

I just dig for some info. It seems that the phone is rebooting when the car try to synchronise the phone book. Just turn off this featuer from the car bluetooth menu.

[Q] Sprint Photon Bluetooth Issue

Well I have searched high and low and have not found an answer yet so here goes.....
I have a Pioneer AvicZ130BT stereo in my truck and I have just switched to a Photon from an EVO 4G. I am having issues with connecting to the head unit over BT. It will work some times and sometimes it will disconnect the phone and shut off the bluetooth on the phone.
Q. Are there any updated or legacy BT drivers that I might be able to try to get these two to play nice?
Q. Is there an App that might be helpfull.
Any help will be appreciated.

Are you running on stock?
I know certain rom/kernel combos are having Bluetooth issues. I am on cm9 with the original kernel and connect to my blau deck in my bimmer and a pioneer deck in my blazer no problem.

Yes the phone is stock but has root through the All In One Root just for hotspot. The phone had issues pairing in the parking lot of the Sprint store but I thought I would be able to work it out. I have tried just about everything but can not get the phone to connect automatically or consistently.
My EVO worked perfectly. I spend alot of time in my truck and this will be a deal breaker if I can not get the phone to play nice with the truck.
I have been having similar problems with my Bluetooth. My keyboard disconnects randomly and my headset often disconnects. I posted a question about updating Bluetooth stack, but no answer as of yet. I did try cm9 and the keyboard seemed to work better. However, i didn't use Bluetooth nearly as much while on cm9.
For me not a deal breaker, but i am hoping the motorola update to ics will fix things.

UPDATE
Just wanted to say that the phone is connecting very well now and seems to be streaming Pandora and other audio just fine. I did download some 3rd party apps like bluetooth manager and car dock settings that do help in configuring the connection better. I also think that I may have been a little impatient waiting for the phone to connect automatically and may have been causing more issues than the phone. My Evo connected very fast and this phone is just a little slower but I can live with that. So in short, the phone is working as it should and I will stay a SexyMoPho for a while longer I think.
Thanks to all
What did you do?

YMMV:
This worked for me.
su to root:
Code:
rm -rf /data/misc/bluetoothd/*
This nukes your Bluetooth (bluetooth daemon) stored settings. Handy if you've dirty flashed any ROMs.
I found this here:

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for your phone or command line fowl-ups. If you know what you are doing, have at it. If not, research it.
Edit: In the interest of due diligence, I have to add that there was also a firmware update for my Pioneer DEH-80PRS. Between nuking the Bluetoothd settings on my Android and updating the Bluetooth Firmware on my Pioneer car stereo, I have had flawless operation ever since. Pioneer has a disclaimer that if you don't have an IPhone, you don't need this update... I think they fixed something they aren't admitting to. You see this often with big companies that throw things in under the radar.

Bluetooth autoconnect?

Hi, from my previous device (sgs1 cm9) i was used that if i once connect to a Bluetooth device, it will always reconnect to it as soon as the device is available untill i manually disconnect from it, 5hen i would have to reconnect it again to get it to autoconnect. 5his is not the case with sgs3 stock firmware it seems, which is kind of annoying.
I use tasker to 3nable Bluetooth as soon as the device is connected to a charger, which meant that i just had to sit in my car, plug the phone to the charger and everything else happened automagically, now i have to go into Bluetooth menu (i don't even get a notification for my kenwood parrot handsfree, only for my home Belkin e16) and connect the handsfree...
Anyone has a solution for this? I even can't get tasker to try to connect the device, maybe a shellscript executed by tasker could do it, but i have no idea if this is possible.

I second this. I have it paired to my Toyota Touch system and it disconnects and reconnects quite a lot. not sure if its a power saving feature maybe? but its annoying
I am pretty sure switching to cm9 will solve my problem, but i think i will wait with that for a few weeks till the major problems there are solved, audio skipping on a2dp is a dealbreaker for me, also some other small things still not that perfect ATM...

i thought i was the only one with this issue. my bluetooth headset is no longer stable. it works just fine paired to my GS2, but once i use my GS3, it disconnects and reocnnects randomly. very, very frustrating

Hmm, that seems to be the opposite of my problem, for me it does not reconnect after it disconnected, i need to go to bt-menu each time.

Bumping, anyone? Is it possible to call a script in tasker that tells android to connect to a particular device? Anyone with scripting skills maybe?

well yea, that is what i meant. i have to phyiscally go to the BT menu just to reconnect it, and sometimes it wont connect at all. i have to unpair it, then repair it. the bluetooth is completely broken on this phone!
im thinking we should move this thread to the general forum, it doesnt get any exposure out here in Q&A
Strange thing is, sometimes it seems to work, but most times not...

this has been my major issue too. My OG HTC Evo automatically connected each time unless I was away from my car for too long. Now i have to enable both check boxes which is very obnoxious.
My wifi likes to turn itself on too.
Solved for me with newer firmware version, i installed xLite rom v6.0 and now v7.0 and on both it works as intended.

[Q] Bluetooth connection issue with MegaFire

I'm having Bluetooth connectivity issues, specifically with my car (Volvo XC60, Bluetooth 04.23_R). For the last 2 or 3 weeks I've been using MegaFireMj2V6. Bluetooth was fine with other devices but the car wouldn't connect, always bringing up the "Unfortunately Bluetooth Share has stopped" error. Yesterday I upgraded to MegaFireMj2V7X, and now I'm having issues with connecting other devices as well, in other words the problem is now even worse.
I'm new to ROMs and flashing. Is it possible to replace and audition alternative Bluetooth elements in the hope of fixing the problem? Failing that I'll have no choice but to try another ROM entirely. That would be a shame because I'm enjoying MegaFire. But Bluetooth connection between my phone and car is essential. I'm not a power user, I just need a simple ROM, preferably no bloatware but definitely good, reliable bluetooth. Any recomendations, please?
You can replace your Bluetooth now..

Could you be more specific?
I've researched and have found that the Bluetooth stack, "Bluetooth Share", can be replaced. I've tried out three backups of my own, created by Titanium Backup in recent weeks, but unfortunately, this hasn't solved my Bluetooth issue. I have Bluetooth Share v 4.2.2. Is that the only version available, or can anyone let me know where I can find and audition alternatives? Failing that, I'll be re-flashing MegaFireMj2V7X later today and keeping my fingers crossed that that does the trick (although I don't think it will!).

Yes. I can..
Thanks, Turl3. Reinstalling MegaFireMj2V7X repaired Bluetooth, but I'm left with the issue that I can't run two devices at once. I want to connect to both my Sony Smartwatch2 and my car at the same time. I've posted in the Q&A forum to see if anyone can help.

Bluetooth is weird! It wouldn't connect ... it wouldn't connect ... But then today, without my doing anything at all, I got into the car and all of a sudden both devices are connecting perfectly!! And it's been like that all afternoon. I'm not going to touch any settings on any device, and hopefully things will stay as they are
