How to recover ZU - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

I have some doubts about recovering our lost phone
1. Shall I need to give device administration permission for all of these apps or default google's "android device manager " is enough?
2. Can we still trace our phone if somebody rob and flash the phone?

apps installing in non-standard location...movable?

I've noticed a few user apps that do not install into the standard /data/apps location... ESPN Sportscenter is one, ING Retirement app is another. These apps create their own directory under sdcard instead.
Wondering if there is any way to move the apps into the proper /data/apps location?
You sure its not just storing data there?
The APK itself should be in /data/app/
hmm... That does sound more likely lol. It's not installed at the moment so I can't confirm. Will reinstall and check.

Apps do that so if you reinstall you keep your settings.
I just wish they all stuck it in the same place and not make there own folder in /sdcard/* and keep it in /sdcard/android/data/*
Yep, looks like some image cache...and it's empty even, grr.
I know there is no need for an image here but I've been wanting to test xda app image handling since the update ;-)

rooting help?

So I tried he rooting method that was posted here but every time I get to the point where it says 'restore my data' I press the restore my data button and nothing happens. I was kind of worried about rooting due to the issue with ota updates but I am really eager to try out the camera mod that was posted a while back. Any help?

If your on this software version prior to rooting you may not be able to root it.

Wrong Menu.
Goto Settings, scroll to the bottom, select About Phone. The last item in this menu gives you your software version. 99% of the time this is the only one you require.
Sorry maybe I wasn't so clear. I did go into about phone, and it says 402. However, in service Menu it says system version is 314, and file system is 402. No update in pc companion. That's why I'm confused.

Bump... Still unsure. Should I format and try to reinstall? Or should I wait for 323?
