[FIXED] T-Mobile My Account App on WiFi - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

Has anyone else encountered a problem using the T-Mobile My Account app while connected to Wi-Fi? If I go into the app and tap on "Account Info", this is the screen I get. Any thoughts?

yep i get that too, turning off my wifi and exclusively using data connection works

I fixed it. Go into Settings - More Networks - Access Point Names. Create a new one called "T-Mobile", then use all the same settings as the default APN (the one called T-Mobile US LTE) , except change APN Protocol from "IPV6" to "IPV4/IPV6". Save it, then select it as the active APN, and reboot. At that point, My Account will work over wifi.

That fixed worked for me, thanks!
Also, just as a point of interest, I called T-Mobile about this yesterday, and they are aware of the limitation. They claim that it's deliberate, because "connecting from their network is more secure" or something like that. They said that they're working on a new version of the app which will allow connectivity over wifi, too, but this works for me

[Q] Turning off 3G to run on Edge

Hey guys is there a way to turn off 3G and run on Edge only? When I go into settings >> Wireless and network >> Mobile Networks it only shows "Use packet data" why isnt there a setting to turn off 3G and run on Edge?
Try the network mode....switch to gsm

It doesn't have network mode in the list.
choose gsm only in the network mode. You can also use extended controls and have a widget to switch between edge and 3g

[Q] ok, how on earth do you disable the data download warning in the play store?

that one? i only ever really use 3g and want to permanently disable this warning.
looked under the download app - no options, nothing in play store, data under settings etc.
any ideas?
anyone have any thoughts on how to do this?
here is something.. but why am I seeing your screenshot in this one year old thread?
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/help-google-play-wifi-warning.17287/
I have a hazy recollection that this is actually delivered from Google play online rather than the app. They used to have it triggered for any app over 10mb, then when 3g became mainstream they upped it. My memory is pretty crap most of the time so this could all have been a dream.

How about you un-check "Download using WiFi only"? Aaand it looks like you've used a screenshot from a MIUI ROM, which isn't a crime, but strange
i found a thread re same issue and that had the screengrab (same thing, wrong rom).
unchecking it works for that 1 time and 1 time only which means every time you update a large app you have to manually do it. it's pointless and a waste of time
there was a fix for the miui rom but doesnt apply to ours (in the downloads app but there's no options for it on our phones)

Spam filter option N/A on T-mobile e-mail app

It was there on my S3 but it's not an option on the T-mobile S5. However, someone from another forum posted a picture of their stock email app and they have it! What is UP with T-mobile's email app??

OTHER S5:
Well, it LOOKS like I might have success. I completely changed several of my IMAP settings. I now have "none" checked under "security type" and I also changed the Ports.
In addition to the sync problem I've been having, the "spam filter" button has now come back!
Let's see if it sticks!

Just an update:
I will say this: my fix is not a perfect fix. The spam filter has stayed permanently. Does it sync? Yes. However, I've noticed that it takes about 10-20 minutes on average for it to sync properly. It's still frustrating but it works.

APN Settings, preferred network type & CDMA subscription - pics provided

My service went out last night and in true moronic form I went and messed with settings I'm unfamiliar with - turns out the Verizon network was down and now I'm not sure how they're SUPPOSED to be set...
The settings are as follows:
1) APN Settings:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2) Preferred Network Type:
3) CDMA Subscription:
Info about my phone:
Unlocked, rooted, ROMed (GPE 4.4.4), Verizon GS4.
Can anyone tell me what these should be set to? I've done some searching and it's pretty inconclusive.

They look fine except I'm unsure of the 'subscription' setting in the last pic. If you have issues then try toggling it to NV and do a reboot or toggle airplane mode to see if it helps.
Missed your reply the other day, the problem I've recently started experiencing is that until I reboot once or twice I cannot hear callers and they cannot hear anything at all (both inbound and outbound calls.) I'm not sure if it's related to this or not. I've found a few threads where people are having similar issues and factory resets don't seem to do it. Neither do any of the other suggestions presented in said threads.

'Scanning for Wi-Fi network' without any results!

Hi everyone, i have recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. The phone does work fine, but when i try to connect to a Wi-Fi i can't. When i'm in the Wi-Fi settings i can't find any Wi-Fi connection that are nearby me... It keeps saying 'Scanning for Wi-Fi networks' without any result. And when i go to 'Add network' and then type my Wi-Fi info, it does connect but when i go somewhere else and come back it's like it has forgotten the Wi-Fi and i need to type it overnew.
Here is an example:
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Can anyone please help me?
I've got exactly the same problem. I didn't upgrade the OS (that I'm aware of) but suddenly my S6 can't see any wifi networks. The only change I've made is with my home network wifi but I think that's a red herring - all other devices (ipad, iphone, PC) see the access point fine so I think it's just a coincidence my phone stopped working at around the same time (yesterday). Just did a factory reset and the problem remains. Being on mobile data is going to get real expensive, real quick...
** actually just to add, I can't even connect to the wifi network by typing in the name of the network, it still doesn't connect...
