DNA No Sound from load speaker already replace charge flex still no sound - HTC Droid DNA

Need help.
Replaced Charger port flex cable and speaker still have no sound.
What could be causing this issue.
I lareadt hard resey and installed latest RUU still nothing

It's possible that one of the connections is lose or may have ripped. Check that all the cables are firmly secure and in place.

[REQUEST] USB Port repair guide

Is it possible for someone to make a guide on how to repair the USB port on our Xperia X10?
I think this guide will be coming in more handy as by looking the issue is apparently quite common...
Thanks in advance

Well that guide is rather known to me but as I looked at it there is no mention about soldering. There was a topic here on xda about broken USB with links to other guides about soldering proper points but as I remembered it could only fix charging battery through USB however without any control of charging. Do ya think it is possible to fix USB transfer?
Yes under the metal USB cover at the back of the socket there are 4 small connections, the outside pair are for charging as yours is charging they are ok the middle 2 are data, just flow some solder using a fine tip, its easy, good luck let me know how you get on.

Hmm the point is that my USB conenctor is just fine. It's a problem with IC controller on motherboard. That is the most common and problematic issiue. I'm not sure if we are talking about that same situation. Surely most people are mistaking their problems with connection and charging as USB port being broken. But that couse, I think in most cases, isn't true.
Firstly, I loosed data connection and I could only charge battery VIA AC charger but very slowly. Than, after couple days, I couldn't even charge at all. It happen just like that, no mechanical damage, no nothing. Just happend.
No my connections looked fine but on metering from the USB connector to the filtering circuit it was open circuit I flowed solder on the joint I then had continuity reassembled and all worked great, no need to go to the interface circuitary. I am saying if the system cannot read the voltage drop across the shunt resistor it cannot control the current and will not charge

Micro USB scratches

Does anyone else notice that the stock micro USB cable pins (the 2 pins that hold the plug in place) stick out too much and will scratch the battery cover leaving 2 obvious dents overtime?
Don't know what you mean. I don't see any pins. Took.the back cover off as well. All looks ok.

Give it a month. Those pins will dissapear inside the connector. Happens with all microusb plugs real quick.

I have the same problem. Generic microusb does not fit.
Edit: Had problems whith my elcheapo Chinese from ebay. Bought another elcheapo cable in Sweden and it works perfect.

Thanks a lot!

(I know that image is NOT of the charger or even of a z ultra..but I am just trying to give reference to the black plug I am talking about)
Thanks a lot!
Hi you got the water seals around the connector, so the phone still water proof. If the cover is broken replace it by a new one

Hmm okay..thanks.
Where can I go to buy the connected then? Also, how would I install the connector? It is installed inside the phone...
If the connector is broken you need to open the phone for replacing

Well, the connector isn't physically broken...just the seal inside the connector. What must I do then?
Also, where would I buy phone pieces for the z ultra?

DNA headphone jack issue

My headphones most times won't connect with the phone. I have to pull it in and out few times to get the phone to recognize that the headphones are in. I know its not the headphones or the Rom. What could be causing this and would there be a way to fix this?

Honestly it sounds like a dirty head phone jack. And in your case I would use something a little moist, not really wet at all and clean it out.

What would be a safe thing to use for that?
I have the same issue, but used that as an excuse to get bluetooth earphones

I just had this issue when I (half-brained) decided to clean the ports out on my DNA with a soft-bristle toothbrush, since my font LED was extremely dim. After cleaning some lint out of the jack, I must've left some in, as it took some cycles of plugging in and unplugging earphones to get it working again. Haven't had trouble since.
Had this same issue. Use a needle and carefully pry the 2 little tabs inside for better contact.

I had the same issue with both my old DNA and my current one. I actually warrantied out my old one because of the issue my current one I managed to fix. I was reading online (i googled the issue) and found a couple other people had the same problem. I work for an IT company that uses the Square Card readers to accept credit cards so I HAD to get the issue fixed. Someone suggested using compressed air, aka canned air, and spray into the jack. Worked like a dream. Haven't had an issue since I did this.
If none of the cleaning tips work, there is an app called SoudAbout on the Play Store. You can use it too force the audio through the jack even if your phone doesn't recognize they're plugged in. The free version is all I've used. Link

[Q] Audio Jack Not Working.

Its being 1 month My HTC Droid Dna's Audio jack not working.
Around a month ago I feel that my audio jack flickering on and off.
After that stops working for a while and again starts working properly.
Now its completely dead I think.
Tried removing lint from it but there is nothing.
Googled it and found this link
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/For-HTC-Droid-DNA-Butterfly-Headphone-Jack-Simcard-Sim-Slot-Holder-Power-Flex-Cable/1477850071.html
Just want some help here.
Is it the only solution(replacing above unit with sim tray, audio jack, power flex ) for this?:crying:
Or there is another way to handle this (replacing only audio jack if possible).:fingers-crossed:
since it will cost me a lot replacing the whole assembly.
Thanks

Have you tried different headphones. I would say if there isn't anything in it then it probably went dead. Did you make sure the pins inside were making contact?

I read on the forum that someone else that was having problems with their headphone jack pulled the pins out a little bit. They stuck an object in and gently bent them out more and they had success. It's worth a try. Don't bend them too far though.

Let me know how it works out. Worse come to worse you replace the part. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that. ?

I have this problem from time to time. I bought some canned air and spay first to rid moisture and then blow it in the jack and use a wood round toothpick and clean it out. Should work fine.
