Did you ever find a fix for this ? Would of been a dam sight easier if there was rocker buttons on the side all it needs a cache and factory reset and it's fixed

techman20, have you ever solved this? I ran to exact same issue and have been tried different methods for the past 2 days. I'm new to Android so need community's help.
Here is the current state of my device (GT-B9150 Samsung Homesync):
- In order to get root, flashed ROM MJ1 (TUR version), followed this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2497102
- After flash the device got very slow so I figured I need to wipe the data and cache partition
- There is no volume key of the device so I use adb to reboot to recovery mode (debug mode has been enabled earlier), again there is no key so I didn't know how to select in the screen (should have use adb command as well, I was not that familar with adb), instead I put into the command rm -r /data, then the device dead
- After reboot the device stuck in the bootloop: I see samsung logo and homesync logo, NO adb connection (I think the debugging mode is not on)
- I tried flash a few other versions of the ROM and it does not working as well, all stuck same at the bootloop
I figured if I can wipe the data and cache partition after a fresh installation of ROM the device could be saved.
Here are a few path that I see can solve this:
Option 1: Get into recovery mode, but I don't know the key combination, also adb is not working so seems can not use command line either
Option 2: Since I'm able to get into download mode, I can use Odin to flash some sort of bootloader with adb function, so that I can later use command to get into recovery mode
Option 3: Complete wipe out the device, re-partition using Odin
Since I'm new I don't exactly know if any options here makes sense and what are the risk for each. Also I don't have the pip for option 3. Would be great if any expert here can shed some light on, it's been bothered me for 2 entire days at weekend.
Thanks,
Is there anyone can please help me with this issue, or provide some insights?
Thanks

for boot loop you need to clean data and cache partition. To do that you need to go to recovery mode.
To do that, turn off the device , hold the power button. First you will see its power on, keep it pressed. And after 5s , you can home sync will rebooted to recovery.
Hi all, I know this is too old subject, but unfortunately I had my homesync flashed firmware through Odin and I did nand erase all, it is now stuck to Samsung homesync logo after booting. I know it is required wipe but how if no recovery is installed into the original firmware? any thought?

Hi everyone.
I have a i9300 and it is stuck in rebooting.
Power key is ok.
I can get it to download mode or recovery mode.
I can wipe cache and partition but nothing change, it keeps rebooting.
I cant use odin because odin didn't see the phone,
I think USB debugging wasn't on. But I cant find a way to open it without turning on.
I am looking for possibilities and solution for 2 days and I cant find any. Please help me.
bootloop
It seems you are stuck in a boot loop. Try clearing the cache & perform a full factory wipe. Then reboot your device.
Hope that helps.

I both try 4.1.2 (with odin) and 4.3 (with octopus) but it keeps rebooting.
I also use octopus box to flash and repair efs.

If you've cleared the partition structure then you've turned a possible soft brick into a hard brick, you'll need a new motherboard now.
Try flashing the rescue firmware, from the thread in general, but I wouldn't hold out any hope.

same problem but worse please help
HI guys i have exactly the same problem but my bootloop was caused by installing recovery through the cwm app and then rebooting to recovery through the app. i rebooted to recovery with an app before and it caused this aswell ...however back then my volume down button was working. i fixed it last time by going into download mode and flashing philz recovery however i cant enter download mode or recovery or boot into system.
PS: my phone doesnt boot into recovery it comes up with the samsung galaxy s3 gt 19300 logo then it comes up with the cwm recovery icon in the middle of my screen and 'clockwordmod recovery v6.0.6.4' at the bottom of the screen then restarts itself.
i dont know what to try i have looked around, didnt want to create a new thread just wanted to find out if anyone has any idea of what i can do except for buying a new volume down button thats my last resort apprently its £35 to fix
easy way to fill up you thanks meter guys as any sort of input and advice is extremely appreciated.
alphadavid99 you fried your lcd when you flashed cwm made for note in the other thread.
Hi i have the issue... I am able to get in Recovery and Download Mode.
While in recovery i had formatted the whole internal memory and tried flashing about three AOSP ROMs (Formatting each time before Flashing) but the only result was the endless boot up screen (not boot loop).
Then i tried flashing a sammy ROM and it worked...
Could someone tell me why am I able to flash Sammy ROM but not AOSP (such as ARCHIDROID & SLIMBEAN).
My Model is GT-i9300
Current Modem - XXUGMK6
Current ROM - S4 Revolution ROM (TM)
Thanks in advance for your time if someone has any suggestions
Hello,
I have a S3 which is stuck in a bootloop at the samsung logo.
when i turn it on it shows the logo for some seconds then the screen goes black and the logo re-appears.
i can not boot into recovery mode, but download mode is working without a problem every time.
i tried flashing stock firmwares with odin and also tried kies emergency firmware recovery. the flashing always went without any problem, but it had effect. whatever i try, i am never able to boot into recovery and still stuck in the bootloop.
in some tries after flashing the screen just shows the samsung logo forever, but after rebooting it once it then is stuck in a bootloop again (shows the logo - screen goes black - shows the logo...)
i also tried flashing TWRP and CWM via odin, but again i can never boot into recovery mode.
what should i try next?
thx alot for any helpful comment

You can Try this:
1.) Pull out battery
2.) Put it in again
3.) Press Vol up + home + power
4.) When the Samsung Logo appears let it off
I think you press the Buttons too long.
I had the same problem!

i really tried everything, it's not working. btw with i am stuck at the very first image, where it says "samsung Galaxy sII GT-I9300".
i dont think it's just the way i press the buttons because i can reach it on my s1 and s2 without a problem, it's just not working on this device.
could some setting like "nand erase all" in odin help? in other threads there is sometimes mentioned that the internal file system might be screwed up and in those cases a simple odin reflash does not help anymore...
Nand erase will usually hard brick it. Try the rescue firmware from general forum, sticky thread. Follow the guide exactly as it includes a pit file.

thx, but i already did that (multiple times) and flashing via odin always succeeds. then the phone reboots and is stuck at the first samsung galaxy s.. screen. twice i managed somehow to get into recovery (after flashing cwm6) but it then randomly rebooted.
and i dont think that the power button is stuck because when i am in download mode it is perfectly fine it never reboots itself unexpectedly.
Had a similar issue on my tab2 p3100. It all happened when I tried flashing a custom recovery from rom manager.
A bad flash of anything related to recovery or bootloader could be a probable cause.
I remember a knowledge share on one of the threads describing this issue and as mentioned on it all I had to do is this:
1) switch off the device and plug in the charger. This would light up the display showing you the charging status. The status has to show if at least your bootloader part of the phone is fine.
2) plug out the charger and immediately press the three buttons (home + vol up + power) get into recovery mode. This step has to work and help you get to recovery mode.
***Note : the interval within which this step has to be performed is too short since the display would turn off immediately as soon as you plug out the charger. A bit tricky too so you have to be fast. If this misses getting you into recovery, pull out the battery and put it back again. Repeat step1 and 2 again.
3) upon successfully getting into recovery, perform wipe data, cache and select reboot phone from option available on recovery again.
Allow the device to boot. This could take a while since you have performed a data wipe and may prompt for first time set up.
I was able to restore functionality on my tab after these steps and like ppl learn from their mistakes, I then learnt that recoveries and bootloaders are things that needs to be done with a pc only.
Worth a try if you have tried other alternatives and found no go. may help. Who knows..
all the best.
thats also not working. i tried to get into recovery since two days now...
i also tried the steps from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/solved-pit-bricked-dead-problem-gt-t2535367
but again, after i flash the cf-root (successfully) the phone does neither boot into recovery by itself nor can i do it by hand...
its crazy... in download mode i can see the model number (GT-I9300) and i thought as long as the model number is there and i can enter download mode there should be a way to recover the device.
but i cannot think of anything to try that i have not done yet
If the rescue firmware didn't help then it looks like the emmc chip is damaged.

is there a way to make certain of this? how can i tell if it is really a hardware damage and not just a software brick?
i just dont want to let the phone go, it looks still so shiny
is there anything else that could cause the phone not booting into recovery mode after flashing custom recoveries?

Same here, still didn't found how to fix it.. I guess our motherboard just died..
Howewer I have a solution that "almost" worked for me.
Get a stock firmware in odin and turn on Nand erase and T-flash
When it's done phone reboots and you'll see just "Downloading..." mode when you turn it on.
Then got to Kies and Select firmware recovery...
Enter s/n and model name and wait for the flash to complete.
With it , I got past boot logo and actually booted into android but the phone crashed because I guess I have a memory issue..
Well , gl. If you don't find anything else helpful , try going with this method..
So, i installed A LOT of custom roms on my gs3, and the last one screwed it up, so i got android 5.1.1 on my gs3 and when it tried to boot up (after optimizing apps stuff...) it just stopped at "Finishing Boot" and it stayed like that for couple of hours, then since i don't have a power button to enter download mode i made my own homemade usb jig and got my gs3 in download mode and i got it back to stock, then it stopped at samsung logo and it was just booting like that whole night. Then i tried diffrent versions of stock roms, kernels, even new pit file, still nothing. So i've read on couple of forums that i need to enter recovery mode and wipe data & cache(but odin does that automatically right ?) and i can't enter recovery mode cause i have a broken power button(and no i can't connect wires cause when i got rid of the power button i accidentally pulled out one of the connectors). So how can i enter recovery without a power button if i can't boot up the phone ? Or is there any other fix ? Or it's dead ?
P.S I can't take it to service no warranty + binary count is 14 and i can't reset it without my phone booted up.
No power, no phone. It's that simple. Fix the power button and then you can boot it up. No other way possible.
I wish I stole my HTC M9.
you could try thru usb then adb command: fastboot reboot recovery (if i remember correctly)
edit: just read you can't even turn it on

go to this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/development/adb-fb-apx-driver-universal-naked-t1379875
download the driver, install once while gs3 booted, then in download mode install the driver again - while phone is connected
i haven't been able to get a "fastboot devices" respond while in download mode, maybe i'm not doing it right
the driver supposed to support galaxy s3 international with adb and fastboot

installing the drivers only need any gs3 but since it's stuck on logo only, you can't do anything.
i thought you said you have a home-made jig to boot into download mode
Odin don't wipe data and cache automatically. I had bootloop problem after flashing stock too you have to get to recovery anyway you can and format cache and data from there. As I know you can flash files through odin with your home-made USB jig. So there are some recovery zips that will boot into recovery directly after flashing them. You can either find one of them or you can ask someone to edit one of the recovery zips for you. The final way I can think about is adb. You can go to download mode with your USB and then you can use adb. Give adb this command. Adb reboot recovery and it will reboot to recovery. If I helped you in any case press the ? tnx button.
Hi. I'm new here, and I really need help!
It started today when I'm tired of a disaster lagging using android 5.1.1 rom on my Galaxy tab 10.1 (GT-P7500).
So, I decided to flash a stock rom to go back to honeycomb 3.2
And basically, a volume down button on my tablet is broken. so I won't be able to reboot in recovery mode.
I tried reboot in download mode by pressing power + volume up button but it won't work either.
Then I managed to reboot in download mode and use Odin to flash a rom by using adb cmd but I didn't boot to recovery mode and wipe data/factory reset first(I don't know if this has something to do with this problem.)
And that brought me to a dead end problem.. Stuck at the logo while booting up. :crying:
I don't really know what else to do or is there some hope with this situation. I plugged a usb to my pc while in logo screen and it showed up as SAMSUNG_Android so when I check by typing adb devices in command it's there but can't get it to work since adb required debugging mode.
I think I will probably end up order a new button for replacement but I feel like I should ask a professionals first.

Hi Ken,
I have the similar problem like him, and the recovery mode was lost, i've try to flash a TWRP with Odin (twrp3000-20160207-p4.tar.md5) with AP button, it was PASS and restart, but still stuck in logo Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
I don't know what to do, this is the 1st time i get this problem.
Need someone helps, thank a lot.
Hi guys, I really need your help.
I'm new at this rooting stuffs and I tried to root my Oppo Neo 5.
I tried so many softwares like OneClickRoot, FramaRoot, and Kingroot but none seemed to work.
So I resorted to an app called oppo tools
It worked at first but I got really annoyed when my status bar suddenly colored to red when my phone discharges to 15% so I unrooted my phone and rooted back again. I really thought that was going to fix my problem but that's where the bootloop issue started.
I tried to flash some custom recovery zip but it failed since I only have a stock recovery.
But the thing is, I found a guide that says to rename the clockworkrecovery img to PG86IMG.zip.
So I did tried that and as soon as I flashed the zip from my stock recovery, my phone hanged.
I long-pressed the power button to restart and boot into recovery mode but nothing seems to happen.
I'll try to explain a bit more on how it looks when I boot my device.
When it boots normally (I mean not pressing the volume to enter recovery mode) it will only show the logo but when I try to go into recovery mode it will show the logo with a little text on the lower left portion "Recovery Mode"
Before I flashed the PG86IMG.zip, recovery mode was still working and the charging screen when off is working too.
but after I flashed the zip, every time I try to recovery mode the logo shows up with the little text but RECOVERY MODE isn't working. When I charge my phone it automatically boots up and shows the logo and text like it's trying to go recovery mode (I'm just trying to charge? It's going to recovery mode)
I tried using "adb devices" on cmd but it's not detecting any devices.
I'm really out of ideas guys, I know not all people use this model but what would be your suggestion?
A suggestion on how to fix this would really be appreciated :good:
I'm sorry I'm really new at this, please correct me if I did something wrong starting this thread.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't notice.
Lately I can't access the recovery mode but now
I'm currently on Boot-loop and I can enter into recovery.
The ColorOS recovery mode only have limited function that I can mess around.
It only has the apply update, wipe data and cache, reboot, power off and system file verification.
As always I already did wipe the data and cache but nothing happens. Still boot-loop.
What should I do?

You made a soft brick, not to worry flash it with correct stock firmware, if the phone is in warranty than ask them to do flash, this will take approx 10-30min. If it isn't in warranty than you should try it own or else pay some amount and the rest they will do.
Salman.
how about bootloop, cant enter recovery, reboot continiously when turn on even going to recovery, only fastboot isnt rebooting automaticaly but pc days drivers not succesfuly installed, and when off it qont detect by pc because of rebooting auto,
