Please help! Phone is dead :( - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have the phone Zopo C2. I turned off the phone and stopped responding. When connected to the charger, nothing happens. When connected to a computer is detect normally, I can flash ROM by SP flashtool. And here is the problem, as long as I want toflash, reaches the first red bar to 100% and ends flash without error. Drivers have a good, first is connected as "USB PORT MTK" and how it comes to 100% red bar that goes in the "VCOM MTK DOWNLOAD".I have a second phone zopo c2 and there I normally flash, and everything goes without problems
I tried with the removed battery inserted, all methods and nothing, always the same 100% red stripe and the end of the flash without any error.
I wanted to flash such proloader same and is the same.
Phone is brick ? Memory in phone is dead or what ?? Can still fix it?
Sorry I from Poland and my english is very bad.

Uninstall all VCOM drivers.
restart PC and reinstall them.
Open SPFlash Tools, choose full speed and W/O Battery
Connect phone to PC.
If flash start, ok, if not, take out the battery and put it back again. Repeat if necessary.

I try on three PC. Always this same, flash start(100%red bar) and end, nothing more.
Any error. :crying:
any possible faulty memory?

Ok then, do like I post, but select only the preloader.
Then, restart all over again...

x10a + bricked + unable to get flashmode or windows to detect

Hi Guys!
My original x10a was sold to a close friend of mine, whom accidently accessed the xRecovery menu, and select to delete the SYSTEM and DATA partition.
Now he is stuck on a endless loop of being on the Sony Ericsson boot logo text screen.
Only way to power off the phone is to physically remove the battery.
Anyways, I am trying to complete a factory reset with the 2.1 firmware, so far, I am out of luck.
I have WIN 7 x64 running, with both 32-bit 64-bit JAVA SE and development
I also have installed Android SDK, wit all the possible packages, including USB Driver Revision 4
I also have Flashtool downloaded from this website, which included the SEMC drivers.
Problem is...I cant get the computer to recognize the phone at all.
I tried even Sony Update Software as well as Companion software, with no luck.
I am physically in flash mode ... solid green LED, but the computer is not detecting the phone at all.
Flashtool is advising to connect my Xperia phone, when clearly my phone has the solid green LED with black screen (hold down back button and connecting the USB)
First I thought it was the cable, which I replaced with a OEM one, still no luck.
I removed the SD card, 16gb from the phone, and connected through my computer for flash memory sticks drive (all in one), and the card was blank.
I am presuming my friend would have deleted SDCARD data as well
So, now I am stuck in a limbo, how do I fix this?
just to give you hope, if you see the se logo that means that your phone isn't bricked.
it's probably some driver that's not installed properly. I'll let someone with real knowledge explain whatto do.
Something like this happened to me. I know it sounds stupid, but have you tried rebooting your computer?? I did that, and it worked again.
Uninstall SEUS,PC Companion and then reboot the PC.
Then download SEUS and install it. Start SEUS , go through the process. It should detect it now.
Can you access xrecovery? If you Can, download a custom ROM, follow the instructions to install.
Don't forget to extract your ROM to sdcard.
Sent from my X10 using XDA App
Hi All!
Thanks for the input, I do appreciate it.
I am at work right now, but will try it this evening and let you know how it proceeds.
Just as an FYI, I did restart my computer once the Java, SE Companion, SEUS, and Google SDK were installed, still had no luck, but I will try again
To access the xRecovery, it is pressing back button couple of times right?
But the SD is blank, should I use a PC to initialize the SDcard with Xrecovery and everything?
Try this steps...
1-Download a custom ROM to your sdcard and extract. (Use your PC)
2-Reboot your x10 and press a back buton many times.
3-Make following in Xrecovery
*Factory reset
*Wipe cache partition
*Wipe dalvik cache
*Wipe Battery stats
*Install custom ZIP
*Reboot
*Let the phone 5 minutes alone please...

you gotta uninstall seus and pc companion, and uninstall all the x10 drivers, then reinstall seus and pc companion
Hi why don't you use flashtool to flash a new rom? I had read in somewhere else here about this tool and seems to work flawlessly to recover bricked xperia..
End of Life ....
Hi Guys!
Sorry for the late reply,
Been extremely busy with work.
Anyways, it seems I got myself a malfunctioning motherboard or broken/damaged usb connector.
Thus, I can't do anything, it is going to cost me $150 bucks to repair.
I cant get into flash mode, as soon as I do that (the green led), windows states that USB device has malfunctioned and my Xperia continuous to the boot logo screen and stuck there.
I tried just about everything, unless anyone else knows better way?
Just to prove the USB connector is damaged, the wall-charger is not even working when the USB is connected
This sounds really extreme. Can you charge the phone? Can you connect the phone to the computer and get a solid green light - ie - flash mode?
I've encountered a similar problem, the battery is completely drained, so much so that it can not connect to the wall charger, can not connect to anything at all.. just gives three flashes of red led then stops.
The only solution is to charge the battery for a few minutes in another X10 and then with enough power, get back into the phone for long enough to re-establish charge being sent to the battery.
IF you have charge and are able to get to the white SE logo, you just need to use the SEUS software to force restore of the stock firmware.

Just one more question, have you tried changing the USB port? Sometimes the device ID gets messed up and the only way is to switch to another USB port and make sure the phone connects to the computer with the USB cable and that you have a device id.
EDIT: Worth looking into these two threads;

Problem is I am not sure what your exact problem is as I would like to help more!
The newest version of Flash Tool has drivers package included, it worked for me without installing (or reinstalling) SEUS or PC Companion. Look for a 'drivers' subfolder inside the extracted files.
Can you charge the phone?
My USB port has completely died and I've not a working phone even, so I'm unable to work on custom kernels or anything - I don't have an X10 any-more until this USB port on the phone gets re-soldered

[Q] Windows Not Recognizing Device

Hi guys, was having a few problems with my phone and decided that I'd flash the stock ROM again.
Went into ODIN as you do, and as I was flashing the stock ROM, for some reason or another I heard the disconnect/reconnect noise that Windows makes when you remove a device then FAIL came up in ODIN.
Now my phone's stuck with a phone connecting to a computer on the charge screen, it can't go into recovery mode but it can go into download mode.
Tried connecting it to my PC in download mode, and even though I've got the Samsung USB Drivers installed I get the 'USB Device Not Recognized' message, which means I can't flash the stock ROM in ODIN anymore.
Does anyone have any advice? Thank you.

I have it installed, and I installed the USB drivers from the soft bricked sticky in this section. Neither have helped.
Hi!
Hi, you guys install ADB on your system? And also USB debugging mode on the phone?
Should be turned on which can be done by going to Settings>Applications>Development and select USB debugging.
Try this, for me its works

I can't even turn the phone on at the moment. Only thing I can do is go into Download mode.
Help
Try this, take out the battery, then press and hold the ON button for 7-10 seconds (the longer the better). Reinsert the battery, then press ON button to start it. This is a soft reset, and wipes the temporary memory and empties all remaining power in the circuits. This helps on many phones and even laptops that won't start properly or show anything on screen.
If this does not work, try the next step. Again, do as above. But after inserting the battery, do not turn the phone on, but press and hold the ON button and the HOME button at the same time for 7-10 seconds. This is a hard reset, and works best if done after a soft reset. Just be sure the battery has at least some juice in it and isn't empty. If possible, try with another battery if this does not work.
Hope this helps!
Try going to device manager, you will probably find your device as an unrecognized device, uninstall the drivers, unplug and then plug it again and see.
if the prblm is hard then do a fresh installation of kies, device etec etc.....but if u have ur device in the device list on pc then first uninstall it...if possible try recovery mode and reset...
I tried everything you guys have suggested and none of that worked. Anyone else got any ideas?
Try everything (and I mean everything) on the following list. Given the problems you've had & that you've already tried some of these things, I'd try another PC. And if it doesn't work first go on another PC, then go thru the list & try everything on the 2nd PC.
*Ensure Kies & it's processes aren't running in Windoze task manager. Kill them if they are.
*Try different USB ports; you must be using a 'powered' or mainboard port.
*Try different USB cables (particularly the cable that came with the phone if you're not using it now)
*Try different versions of Odin (search on here/Google)
*Uninstall Kies, reboot, redownload & reinstall it, reboot, try the flash again. Also run Windoze Update.
*And if all this fails, try a different PC.
Tried all the above and a different PC.
It didn't work. I could fix the phone if the computer would pick up that the phone's connected - it just doesn't.
Total Removal of KIES including registry entries .
Reboot PC install a new copy of Kies .
Phone backup data and factory reset .
Set phone to USB storage mode using the Samsung cable connect to PC and wait for Windows to find USB drivers .Remove cable reboot phone .
Start Kies connect with cable wait for Kies to find the phone .
Note USB Debugging OFF and cable connects to a direct motherboard port only .
Nothing then only further suggestion would be to Format the PC and start over with a clean Windows install .

I can't turn the phone on, it's stuck on the phone, triangle, PC screen.
I've tried fresh installs on three different PC's.

That's a forced download mode.
Try a blind flash to a stock firmware from Odin while connected to your computer with the phone on this screen. Even if Odin doesn't seem to register that it's connected. I've heard of at least one person this worked for.
At this point, you really have nothing to lose by trying this.
Bit of an update, I plugged it in again and it installed some drivers and ODIN picked it up. Only for it to disconnect a few moments later, now it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting over and over but ODIN's not picking it up.

I know you said you tried a different cable, but that sounds suspiciously like a bad cable.
It's not the cable, thanks any way.
Update 2: I managed to get it to connect long enough to flash the stock Kernel. Still didn't reboot. Then I connected it again and flashed the stock ROM, which bricked it again. Then I flashed the stock kernel and it works!
However, there is a problem:
When the phone gets turned off, it constantly shows the charging battery icon with warning triangle and a thermostat next to it. I can't turn the phone on because of this unless I go into Recovery mode and reboot system.
Any ideas? Thanks.

This was my original thought and my reasoning for flashing a stock ROM in the first place!

I in no way recommend this, and not sure I would do it if I ever started having this issue...
BUT - I have heard that some people faced with this condition have fixed it by physically moving the small wafer board inside the USB port with a precision screwdriver (gently!) to a more "centered" position.
If that doesn't work, look at replacing that part. Either via warranty service if you still have it, or a service center.

Star/Bluebo B6000 doesn't connect via USB

Hi all,
I have a Star/Bluebo B6000 phone which I believe is based on the MediaTek 6589T.
I followed the procedure here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206421
to set up a new ROM for the phone.
I seemed to have gotten it all done properly, but the phone only stays connected for about 2 seconds. The SP Flash tool moves into the red progress bar and then just fails.
Luckily, there isn't any software damage on the phone (from the look of it).
I'm trying to put in a new ROM to actually fix a previous issue where my phone remains on but when I press the home button or the power button the screen stays blank. Think a new ROM/fresh start may solve this.
But the core issue is that I am unable to put in a new ROM because the phone doesn't remain connected long enough.
Is there a solution to this? Or is there another way to install ROMS?
Thanks.
There are several things the issue could be.
Try running SP Flash Tools as Admin.
Try a different USB cable.
Try uninstalling current drivers and using PDANet VCOM USB drivers
Try a different PC
Try MTK Flash Tool as opposed to SP Flash Tool.
Make sure the scatter is correct. Create a new scatter with MTK Droid Tools
None of them work.
I've tried 4 different cables. MTK and SP tools.
It seems as though something is wrong with my preloader. When I try to 'restore factory settings' or even try to restart in recovery mode, the phone doesn't do anything. It's almost as though these modes don't exist or are bugged/busted.
EDIT: Yes, it seems to be some kind of preloader issue. When the phone is OFF, I connect the USB (which the computer recognises) and the within 2 seconds the 'disconnect' sound comes up. Within 2 seconds after that the battery charging shows up on the phone.
I say this because when the phone is ON, I am able to transfer files onto the phone and treat the phone as a normal connection. Something within the phone's software is causing SP Tools/MTK Tools/Other drivers not connect to it. I have a feeling I may have a corrupt/broken preloader/recovery system.
Thanks for the help. Please do advise as to what I can do.
Anyone?
Really could use some help.

Hi, did you manage to get this sorted?

Zopo C2 brick, please help.

Hello
I have a phone ZOPO C2 VER B. Phone turned off and do not ever want to turn on. It stopped responding to the charger, do not give any sign of life.
When connected to computer detects the phone, installs the drivers, the SP FLASH TOOL it detects. I pulled a few ROMs and I can not upload any ROM. It is always like this: It comes to 100% red belt and that's it. No error. The phone is detected as the MTK PORT, sometimes after reaching the 100% change in VCOM MediaTek USB DA. Here I give a link to the video where you can see how it looks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Iospu3n0oU&feature=youtu.be
I tried to upload separately preloader, recovery boot. Always the same ending. I tried with the battery in the phone, without the battery, hold Vloume - + Power, etc. Nothing gives all the time is the same.
Use three other PC to try. I have one more phone Zopo and on the same computer and the same driver is dowload rom with SFP without problems.
Phone is brick or can fix this?
Sorry for my english is bad
I am having the same problem, until now could not solve.

lg optimus l9 p760 partition does not exist

hi. so my problem is that my phone does not turn on, i cant go to recovery or do hard reset. the phone react when i plug it in PC without battery, but its always connect and disconnect over and over again. i have downloaded the omap drivers and instaled it. now i have in the device manager a OMAP4430 FastBoot USB device. by the drivers was a fastboot emulator. but when i will flash rom, kernel or recovery a just get partition does not exist. can someone help me please? srry for english.
Does your phone not turn on at all when holding down the power button? If it boots up, and gets stuck on a loop or has an error message, that is different. But if it doesn't turn on at all, then your battery is dead or something is wrong with your phone's hardware. If you connect your phone to the PC (with the battery on), does it at least show a light? Or does it boot up at all when you hold the power button? If it doesn't show a light or boot up, it is not your battery, but your phone's hardware. Your phone might have been dropped or water inside it or it was microwaved? I know it sounds silly, but something happened to the phone physically. Now if you connect it to the PC and you see a light but it never boots, your device is bricked. Not accusing you, but you might have tried rooting it or writing over a partition on your phone which caused to brick. Also, try typing in fastboot devices. If it shows up a device, that means it is connected. Cheers!
No the phone does not turn on and it shows nothing, even when i put it on charger. If i connect to pc with battery after i installed the omap driver it just connect and disconnect over and over again, windows make this sound when you connect and disconnect something. I have flashed a new rom. It has worked but after some time its stoped. So i have try flashed it again but i could not get in recovery. A files was missing and after i try flashing thhe recovery its just dead. I can connect it just with the fastboot emulator because it's don't connect when i just put it on pc. I must connect it without battery wait 4 sec and then put the battery back. Than i can see in the emu my phone but not able flash anything because of partition does not exist
