[APP] Sweet Home WiFi Picture Backup - sending photos and videos on PC with WiFi

Ok, I was searching for this kind of "cloudless" app for like a year, now I have finally found it. If you are like me and dont want to use those stupid cloud storages but want to have your photos on your PC as soon as you come home then this is for you. I am not the author but I have tried this app and it works great on my Xperia S. The name of this app is Sweet Home WiFi Picture Backup.

Dropbox has this feature..... From some time like 3-4 months...
Nebunia lu Salam
Dropbox also does not need any setup ? Does not need registration ? Does not need PC client installed ? Does not need PC client running for transfering photos on PC ? I did not know that !
EDIT: Can you please explain me how to do that ? I want to have separate folder on PC where I want my phone to upload photos when I come home and connect to WLAN router. I dont want to use only one default Dropbox folder and I dont want anything on my 2 Gb cloud, only on PC and phone, I will not use cloud service.
Tnx
I am waiting for the answer.
Tnx

A few questions about windows 8 phones

Hello everyone,
i am new to this forum and that is why i am posting it here. I am going to buy a new phone. The one i have stinks, however that is not the issue i want to address. I am stuck between samsung galaxy s3 and the windows 8x by HTC. The thing is that i use it for school and need to address some things about it
1) i download files a lot from my schools site, powerpoints, .rtf files, word documents, etc. So i need to know if i can download and view them right on my phone.
2) is the office application to view these files good? can i edit files if i want? SOLVED
3) i frequently use dropbox. is it supported? SOLVED
4) does it support mobile hotspot? i don't use it frequently but i have a tablet that on small occasion i have to use the hotspot.SOLVED
5) is the battery life ok on the 8x? SOLVED
6) is back up assistant on the 8x? i have verizon. if not how can i save my contacts if i go with this phone?
7) is IE 10 a good browser? i have never tried it.SOLVED
8) how is the app store? good or bad? does it have a navigation app? SOLVED
sorry for all the questions. i dont have an upgrade and want to make sure i get the right phone for the money.
i don't need to ask any questions about the s3 because i know android and that it works for all the above mentioned.
Thanks to anyone who can give me some guidance here.

Not helpful
I think (but i'm really subjective) that WP8 is better than android for "working": Office is really helpful and you can read .ppt and .doc documents. Dropbox is supported and you can create an mobile hotspot easily. IE10 metro is really better than its predecessors (in desktop i still use chrome ). The app store is...mh...is better the android one i think, but compared to the wp7's store, the wp8 one is good

[HOWTO] Manually adding lyrics on Sense 5 Music Player

hi,
this tutorial quoted from HTC one x thread (thanks to mr1029x) and this is the thread.
Somehow HTC (or GraceNote music database?!) didn't allowed to download the lyrics for some countries (geographic limitation!! may be),
so for those how didn't work the lyrics in the sense 5 stock music player, they have 2 solution:
1. MANUEL: this method quoted from HTC one x thread (all thanks to mr1029x) and i tested with success:
FIRST, go on the internet and search for the song's lyrics. Remember, if you want it to works properly, you need to findtwo types of lyrics: the normal text one, and synchronized one which is found in .lrc file types.
The first normal text ones are easy to find through famous sites such as metrolyrics or azlyrics,etc..
The .lrc files are a bit harder looking up and not always available on the internet. You could learn how to make one yourself right here

Personally, I used app from playstore called "KiePlayer" which download and generate a *.lrc file(synchronized lyric file) for your musics.
SECOND, create a notepad and paste the normal lyrics that you found to there, save the file without any extension, name it "Songfilename"_lyric (without quote).
In the same way, copy the content of the synchronized lyrics to notepad, save the file without any extension, name it"Songfilename"_lrc (LRC not IRC and without qoute).
For example, If your song file name is ABC.mp3, name the files ABC_lyric and ABC_lrc
THIRD, plug the phone into your computer, copy two files that you've created to:
Computer\HTC One X\Internal storage\Android\data\com.htc.musicenhancer\files\. albumarts\storage_external\Music
Remember, look for a file name Songfilename_not_available in that directory, if it exists, delete it
Enjoy
Note:
The _lrc file is required for the lyrics to pop up while you're playing music, if you don't want it, then you don't have to create
Try to google search "filetype:lrc Song Name" if you don't find any synchronized lyrics with normal searching

2. AUTOMATIC: download any VPN changer app from playstore (i tested the "TunnelBear" app with success), then change the VPN to US or UK then go to your music player and activate the automatic lyrics download and that's it, you will see all your lyrics of your musics (if they already found in the "GraceNote music database") displayed in your music player, then you can dis-activate your VPN app (this method need to be activated ONLY ONE TIME).
thanks
help me
please make screen shot or video tutorial. i did. but not working.
Thanks for this!
By the way, if you guys want lrc files, I'd suggest a program called minilyrics. It works with iTunes and downloads user-created lrc files that you can edit yourself. It's free too, and it's the way I get lrc files.

Hi, I think if you provide more informations about your problem (procedures that you did exactly) would be better so we can
help you.
I think it didn't need screenshots or video tutorials, because it is a very simple procedure, and if you had any problem with the first procedure you can use the second one.
Thanks

Backing Up Call Logs, Texts and Other Information To PC In A Readable Form?

I got a Samsung j7 phone I want to backup. Not interested on passing the information to a new phone but I want to have every call log and text currently in it. I want to pass it to my Windows 10 PC and be able to view and read the info on the PC. Looking for an open source or free software to be able to make this without any spyware or malicious ware on it. Thanks in Advance!

Yes, absolutely, there are options for backing up data, I wasn't saying that backing up or restoring that data couldn't be done.
The part about using something that will let you backup to PC and be able to read the internal content while on PC is what I was replying to.

Search for wondershare mobilego version 7+ or 8+ install with the crack tool. Though the software have been discontinued but is very useful. It will do your work for you. The crack tool attach to is not harmful only when you get it from right source.

Thanks for the info, even if it is discontinued. It is ilegal right? Still looking for options
Android stores text messages and call logs in SQLite databases.
You can pull them by means of ADB to your PC and there view them by means of a SQLite reader. For example call logs are located here:
/data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/contacts2.db

Bluetooth FOLDER sharing app needed

There are many apps to share Files from your android smartphone to other bluetooth devices.
However I have yet to find an app that can send entire folders or even several folders in a go. Without having to highlight each file on its own.
Do you know of a app that can send complete folders just by selecting?
