Thinking about getting a T-Mobile and returning my ATT - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

Wondering if anyone that has the t-mobile version on att could speak on any adverse effects at all. I'm curious if ISIS wallet still works, provided you have the new SIM card that is. Most info I've seen is about reception which all seems to be good so that's a relief. Has anyone come across any issues at all?
I've got a few days left to return this thing and I'm trying to make up my mind please help!

Usually the difference between ATT and TMO phones by Samsung is the bootloader. It will be locked on AT&T, and has been confirmed unlocked on the TMO S5. When custom roms and kernels come to the S5 you'll be happier if you have the TMO phone.

We need a really organized thread for all the T-Mobile S5 inquires.

ATT Note hacked to Tmobile use Tmobile Note Radio?

I have an original ATT Note that was hacked to use T-Mobile with a Saurom Rom .....not sure which Radio....
My question is when T-Mobile releases their version next month can my original hacked Note be rehacked with the new T-Mobile ROM and radios?
Or do I have to restore the ATT files and sell to an ATT customer...then buying a new T-Mobile Note?
thanks for the help....

yep that's what I thought the answer would be....just hate to take a $ hit on it which I no doubt would...plus with Note 2 coming out soon it would be nice to be able to use the one I have with the real T-Mobile Rom and Radio....until the Note 2 comes out....

Is it because no developer will be working on it or what?
I dont think the t-mobile radio alone will help. But, if a replacement speaker/anntenna assembly becomes available, that should do the trick.
IIRC the phones are internally different. At least the antennas are. Thats the weak point of the at&t model. Personally id sell yours and get the one specifically madefor AWS. Plenty of people will want yours (LTE). Not everyone will want a tmobile branded phone.
Pretty sure the tmob phone will have superior AWS reception

Correct me if I'm wrong but T-Mobile is supposed to be rolling out with LTE next year, will the att note support that LTE since the phone supports it. If that's the case I will stick with the att note in hopes that I could get LTE.

Going to go for the T-Mobile Note
I guess I'm convinced that selling the ATT version and just buying the new T-mobile Note is what I'll do..............I figured that was the wisest thing from the start but was curious as to the "why's"........
I'm on T-Mo with the note too, but have come to the conclusion that I'll hold off for the note 2, assuming it comes to T-Mo, and if not then I'll get the T-Mo note later. I'm basing this on the marginally acceptable d/l & u/l speeds I'm getting and that 90%+ of the time my data use is on wifi anyway.
Just sharing another T-Mo users thoughts.
T-Mobile Note....Wait or Not
[My download and connectivity issues are such that without wi-fi dialing my service at home is unpredictable and marginal....so looking towards T-Mobile having their own Note makes waiting for Note 2 not a good option unless the ATT Note I'm using could be flashed again with updated radio and perhaps ROM.
Was hoping that taking those from the new T-Mobile Note would be possible, but if not then I'll have to go the buy-sell route and move my ATT version as soon as the new one is out and in my hands.
Even with this fix: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/galaxy-note-i717-hacked-to-work-on-t-mobile-3g4g/ you are getting poor results? I am thinking of getting a used note to use with my t-mobile 2 year plan, I will probably not going to be able afford the "no contract note" even if its released for t mobile soon...
I'm getting 3-10mbps average and that's when I'm NOT on wifi. I really see no reason to why you would sell your current note for a newer phone but with the sake exact specs at such a higher price. Wifi calling would be the biggest reason and 42mbps? Even with my galaxy s2 on T-Mobile I hit 5-12mbps all day. But I use data only for BS poker, Facebook and BS like that. I don't see at all why u would bother switching especially if its only to flash roms ans radios. Several threads talk about getting the tmobile galaxy note radio working on the att version.

Tmobile on AT&T Note

Ok i have read and read still stumped looking to buy either a tmobile or att note used. i have tmobile service does the att note function the same as the tmobile version, data speeds the same? any features that dont work. thanks for any help
My opinion is buy the version compatible with your network.
The at&t model i717 can be made to work with tmobile and other networks, but it takes some effort to make it do so, and it isn't a 100% sure thing that you will have 4G, and many people have messed up their phone.
If you buy the tmobile version you will be good to go as soon as you insert your sim and power up.
If you want a reliable, fast note, go with tmobile model. If you want a new hobby, get the at&t model and try to get it working on tmobile.
If you're in a refarmed area the AT&T works fine and is a lot easier to find. I average 13 and 3 with pretty decent pings in Chicago in a stock unlocked i717 on the TMobile $30 plan. I was looking for the TMobile Note for months and eventually got this. I'm happy with it though I'm experiencing pretty bad battery life (I've got a replacement battery on the way).
I'm headed to the suburbs this weekend and am looking forward to seeing how it will do there.
The att note note is fast with tmo as well... And the i717 has more development from what I've seen just sayin

Give you a good deal on mine. It's an At&T
I only briefly got it to work on Tmobile voice/data then gave up..
Was a perfect excuse to upgrade to the NOTE 2..
This time from Tmobile.. No more issues.
No doubt smarter types than myself could get it just right..
But, they changed my sim card, couldn't test it anymore,

[Q] Verizon-Sprint GSIII

So I looked around the threads on both Verizon, and Sprints side of the fences for an answer to this question and couldn't find any thing.
I have a Verizon Galaxy S3, and my contract with Verizon recently came to a close. I want to switch to sprint due to pricing and other options, but I don't have the money to drop on a new phone at the time, so I have been looking into unlocking the phone to work with Sprint, however I haven't much of luck...
That's when I came to XDA. While I was looking around the forum, I got to thinking.
Is there any possible way that I could take the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy S3's ROM, and load it onto my Verizon Galaxy? And has anyone tried this yet?
It's essentially the same hardware, right? To the best of my understanding, the only difference in the phones would be software related according to the carrier.
I am really struggling with this one, and I have witnessed the vast knowledge and great work by this forum before, so I am hoping I'll be able to find the help I need.

Verizon and Sprint do use the same cdma networks but will not activate each others devices on their network so the answer is no I do not think this is going to be possible for you.

Well I did talk to Sprint, and Sprint said they would be willing to activate an unlocked Galaxy. It's just the unlocking process that I am unsure of.

Can a at&t note 2 be flashed to work with Verizon?

The ability to do cool stuff with phones doesn't surprise me so I'm going to ask. I've seen it done going the opposite direction.

I think you can flash a custom .zip rom thru recovery then do some apn edits, but do not flash stock verizon firmware to your att device through odin. there is a difference!!

I am not 100% here but...
As far as I know the Verizon Note 2 works on AT&T and other carriers because in addition to being VZW device, it is also a world phone, meaning it has a GSM radio in addition to the CDMA VZW radio.
The AT&T Note 2 is a world phone by default due to AT&T being GSM so it only needs that one radio.
I do not think the AT&T version has the required CDMA radio in it to access VZW service.
I will do some checking and post back in a few.
**EDIT**
I checked the AT&T forum for the Note 2 and can not find any mention of a CDMA radio or anyone successfully using an AT&T Note 2 on Verizon.
**EDIT 2**
Verizon also gets to "approve" any device they let on their 3G CDMA network, so without some fancy hacking that we are not allowed to talk about on XDA.... you probably could not even activate the phone on Verizon.
^I believe you are correct...I was thinking the other way around not att on verizon.

[Q] Possible To Use T-Mobile LG-G3 with Verizon PREPAID???

I recently did something similar to this...I brought my Verizon Galaxy S4 over to T-Mobile...works perfectly, Wi-Fi Calling and all.
SO, now I'm REALLY hoping I can take my rooted T-Mobile LG G3 (with unlocked bootloader!) over to Verizon!! Does anyone know if this would be possible? I'd definitely prefer to go with Verizon's PREPAID service on it though if I even can. Anybody have any thoughts on whether or not this should work?
Thanks

Not a chance. Not only is it physically impossible as the T-Mobile version does not have the necessary CDMA technology inside to use VZW's service for talk, text, and 3G, but also because VZW doesn't accept phones from other networks on theirs.
