Major problem - Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500

Hello, XDA community,
I would like to get some suggestions and help on how to fix my old i5500 device.
This phone is rooted, used long time ago, so not sure which CM version is installed, but I'm sure it's GB.
Couple days ago I've turned my phone ON, and it got bootloop.
Since I don't know how to enter the recovery mode using keys, I've tried flash firmware/ other roms using Odin.
Problem is - my computer says, that:
''USB device not recognized
The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it.''
I can turn my phone to download mode (using the button combination) , but nothing more.
Could anyone help me on how to fix this issue. I would really appreciated.

Do you have the drivers installed?
I can provide you all the files you need.

I've installed the Kies, and it installed somekinda of drivers with it. If they're not the same as you got - I would like to get them, thank you.
I turn my phone to download mode, open the odin, put both on same usb, and then get that error. Eh, annoying.
Yes, I'd like to get those files.

1. Download this file (.zip): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/101339159/Samsung.zip
2. Unzip the file. In it you will find (the only) working version (for our G5), the proper ops file, the drivers (in a .zip file), CWM 6.0.1.2 (.tar) and CWM 6.0.4.5 (.tar).
3. Unzip SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_mobile_phones.zip
4. Install the drivers from the above file
5. Open ODIN
6. Select "One Package" option
7. Load the .ops file & CWM .tar (6.0.1.2 for android <4.3 / <CM10.2 ----- 6.0.4.5 for android 4.4+ / CM11+)

You soft-bricked your device. These icons is the forced download mode. It means that you need to flash something to get over it. (and do NEVER put something in the phone section. You should have flash it in the PDA section.
i had the same screen yesterday.just flash the kernel and reboot.it should boot right into CWM.in CWM choose "reboot device" and it should be OK

Thanks guys fixed it used one click unbrick which worked really well. Tried flashing a rom and a kernel and it did not work before hand. With the one click unbrick it has allowed me to enter download mode again.

Root won't work

I'm trying to root my Sony Xperia P with the standard manual from Sony.
But when I'm trying to reboot the phone I see a new device "S1Boot Fastboot" in the device manager in Windows 7 x64, but after a few second the device is disapeard and the phone boots normal. Is there a way to do this with an application instead of using the Android SDK?
Why this on development section? Go to Q&A section
dude you need drivers, you need Android SDK, than Gordons Gate Flash Drivers, Sony Update Service, and Flash Drivers from the flash tool
From the Sony page you need the latest Android SDK a custom android_winusb.inf file from Sony to enable Fastboot for this phone and Google USB Driver package revision 4 or higher. I've got al these components installed on my machine.
this can be a simple driver issue, install drives manually
go to Computer, and go to Manage

check out the side bar and click on Device Manager
now search for S1 FASTBOOT [the name of the drive(maybe it is on ''other'' tab)]
and do it fast before the device turn off fastboot mode
right click on it and go to Update Software
click on the second option
put the folder where is the usbs drivers
click on next, and install the driver, and now you have the fastboot drives already installed, now you just need to unlock bootloader from that tutorial by sony, and please, hit thanks if you think i helped you, and sorry for that bad english, i am brazilian

S5830 Problem (My Ace stuck into black screen)

Good morning from Greece!
I recently rooted my Galaxy Ace (2.3.3) and today i decided to upgrade it with a custom rom... everything was ok until i have installed Rom Manager Premium apk and just to get into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode. When i clicked at (Into Rom Manager) All ClockworkMod Recoveries it appeared one list with a lot of device names, but mine it was not. I assume that if i click in one of them i will be ok..
I was wrong.. when i clicked Rebbot into recovery mode my phone stuck with a black screen.
I have tried to wake up my phone with many different ways but... i had no luck.
Ps: When i connect my s5830 into a Windows Xp Or Windows 7 PC it appears ''USB Unknown Device'' and yes i have installed the usb drives + Samsung Kies.
Please Help!

Okey You have BRICKED your phone by one of the famous procedure
Now to get back it in working condition... follow the steps :
1. Download Latest ODIN from Samfirmware, go to this site select your phone model, country and all and download latest firmware and files
2. install Odin and connect your phone to your PC/Laptop via USB cable provided by samsung
3. Remove battery of your phone, Start ODIN
4. Now Keep Pressing Home+Vol+Power button
5. Insert Battery and Close your Eyes
6. it will be a MAGIC, if ODIN detects your phone, now flash the downloaded ROM and enjoy

Hi,
I installed the new CWM and have the blue screen problem.
What's worse is that i have ROM Manager set to install zip from card, so now when i boot i always get the blue screen and can't get my OS back.
I tried putting it in Download Mode, but my PC never recognizes it (Windows 8.1 x64), so i can't even flash anything.
What could i do?
Thanks in advance

I had CWM 5 and updated to CWM 6 with it. I was on 10.x (Maclaw) BTW.
I'll try Windows 7 when i have time. My phone boots but goes to CWM everytime.
There already is a general thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503380 no need to create a second one.

Hi. This might sound silly but I also had your problem on the same OS.
I solved it by using a different USB port while in download mode.
Try that because that was my problem why Odin was not recognising my mobile.
Regards
Indeed, on Windows 7 it works.
However now i don't know how to revert (or fix that blue screen, i wanted to try 4.4)
Can you flash CWM with Odin?
Well this is the right way to get new recovery working
First get CWM5
Flash latest cm10.2 from androidarnv6
Then Flash new recovery CWM 6.0.4.X
This won't give you blue screen
This worked with me

[Q] ODIN3 unable to write??

Hi,
My sons Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510 has decided to wipe its self. On startup it goes straight to ODIN3 Download mode (Protocol v2.1)
I have spent the entire day reading what to do and finally came up with the following:
1. Download Kies ( Which will not connect)
2. Download Odin3 v1.85
3. Download an md5 file ( of which I have tried many and none seem to work)
4. start Odin3 > click PDA and select the md5 file > connect the tab and turn it on (the tab tells me its connected and the 0:[com7] turns yellow) > click start.
it starts off promising by going green, but then it goes red and tells me write : failed.
I have tried a few PIT files just incase and some bootloader files also to without success.
Am I using the right files?
firstly what has my son done!!! and secondly how the hell do I sort this, I am starting to loose my patience.... bescause I have no idea.
Any help very much appreciated
Slavraf
Go to www.sammobile.com and download the proper stock ROM for your tab, extract the zip, then flash the .tar.md5 file inside. You should uninstall kies too if I'm not mistaken. And if your version of Odin doesn't work, try the one I'm using, v1.87. https://www.dropbox.com/s/dib0w993qc284ki/Odin3v1.87.zip?dl=0
Your son probably simple pressed the power and volume buttons and he unintentionally went into recovery mode and wiped the tab I guess, this is the only thing I can think of, tho I don't know how it can completely wipe the tab, its been a long time since I've went into the stock 3e recovery.

Thanks
Unfortunately I get the same result..... write error.
Thanks for your suggestion though
Did you try using the Odin version I attached?
I have same problem now... Yesterday my tab crashed and I tried to reboot it but get a bootloop, recovery crashed also, tried to flash stock Rom and recovery through Odin but failed. Tablet showed few error lines, as you can see at picture. Would be very thankful if anyone could help.
