[AOSPA 4.4.2] PARANOIDANDROID 4.2+[beta5][V500][04/27/2014][Unofficial] - G Pad 8.3 Android Development

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything you do to your device but I will do my best to assist if something goes wrong, unless it becomes a real android, i'll gladly take credit for that
Lets go over what this is, I love paranoid, I also love my G pad, however i was saddened that there hadn't been an update for a while, so i learned how to build it from source, using the AOSPA-Legacy repo and the hard work of Drgravy and everyone who built the device tree. This is one of my first builds from source, and i'm still new to this side of the fence.
I can't tell you there won't be bugs, but if you are up for it, lets go on an adventure!

Hey Kyle,
Thanks for the work on this rom. I flashed another AOSP build to test, SD card recognized and worked. Clean-flashed PA, still no luck. Just an FYI!

Something weird is going on. I downloaded the ROM and wanted to put it on my phone, but I got an error it cannot be copied to my phone. After that I tried to copy the new CM10 build (from codeworkx) and that one just worked. I also tried to copy it via AirDroid, that did work but when it booted I only saw a black screen..

I tried a 32gb card and that one works, but my 64gb card doesn't. The 64gb card works in cm and stock.
Anyone has a comparison between V500 on PA4 vs V510? that should be interesting to see.
Is someone able to compare the graphical performance between this ROM and e.g. CM11 ?

it matters because certain games and/or graphic types are performing poorly in CM. If they are not performing poorly here there may be a possible solution tucked away in PA. That's my guess ....
Yep I'm going to suggest a nandroid
Sent from my LG-G2 using Tapatalk
The problem with my 64gb card seems to be that PA doesn't recognize it when it's formatted exfat. I formatted it fat32 and it's recognized.

Just to let you know, those who come from unofficial aokp (elelinux/others) and just upgrade by only wiping cache/dalvik cache) can have some trouble with lost accounts and missing apps, Solved by setting back my stuff with titanium backup
So, do a full titianium backup, upgrade to official aokp and put your titanium backup back and all should be ok
So lets try this one out.
Unfortunally most of the kitkat ROMs don't have too much features.
So far, found three bugs, the percentage in the battery icon isn't working, it's showing 0%, the on screen buttons don't work, and wifi sometimes drops for no reason, other than that, very fast, very fluid, will come back with more bugs once i found them

[ROM][5.1]Zaphods AK-CM12.1 Unofficial f2fs - 11/04/15 build UBER 4.9/5.0

Hi All,
This rom is a f2fs friendly version of cm12.1 using AK's kernel. Bugs will be as per the cm rom. Im not really chaing much from stock CM12.1 at the moment, as Im playing with toolchains and build environments, so minimal changes from source. Ive been using CM12.1 source in f2fs mode for a couple of days now and it seems really stable, with no show stopping problems, so I thought I would share.
I cant commit to dailys but will update when I get enough time and spare computing power, hopefully at least twice a week at least.
Got a few ideas about changes eventually, but I'll see how CM 12.1, and others work pans out for a bit.
To try it you need your data and cache partitions to be formatted to f2fs, and first time will necessitate a full zap, and the latest firmware from cm. Updates seem to be dirty flashing fine. Updates generally require only a zapped cache and dalvik.
Recommended GAPPS package are from BaNkS
I used @katinatez latest TWRP to flash

this Rom is new... from what are you dirty flashing from, if there is no prior release of this Rom...Why not full wipe?
Reason I'm saying this is because when "some" people dirty flash they have no idea of what's going on... so when issues occur they come to the thread and ask for help... When everything could of been avoided "IF" instructions were followed from OP.
P.S. I hate posting this, but it must be said before it gets worse.
I thought this rom was an official continuation from the clean rom posted in this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/cleanaosp-rom-shamu-android-file-host-t3715556
Guess not.

@BananowyPotwor when I connected a car with Bluetooth, the bluetooth often stopped. Sometimes the system UI isn't responding, and the battery usage very fast so I back to the last version.
