Yes.
If you are on Chinese version 4GB will be Int: 2.5GB, SD: 1GB.

Yes... because this rom created for 4gb version

so this means SLX will also work on 8gb ROW P780 but you will only get almost same partition size as 4gb?
anyway to re-partition it to the max capacity?

Try to reflash your 8GB EBR files with Flash Tool again.

hi,,i am using dsc.64b rom,, my total memory showing from quick system info is 386mb instead of 512mb, , is this normal? Same thing happened to my samsung galaxy tab 10.1, showing 735mb instead of 1gb of memory,,anyone facing the same doubts? Thanks in advance.
The rest is likely reserved by the kernel, that's the ram available for user apps

Hello,
I installed APP2SD (Dutch free version) on my SGS3.
When i open the app it shows that the internal and external storage is the same...there is no SD card visible.
Is this normal ?
If not...what can i do ?

[Q] confused over ram

Hi
I’m confused over the amount of ram the s2 has all my research said it’s 1gb..
But when I go setting/storage it shows 1.97 GB if go setting/app it shows 1.1 GB used 881mb free.
Which leads me to think it’s got 2 GB..
Can anyone enlighten me.
S2 have 1GB of RAM. This is the memory that is not preserved when you turnieju off your phone. You canon See free amount of RAM under running applications tab. 2GB is the system flash amount. This where are your installed apps and settings. This ram is preserved when you turn the phone off.

What you posted is the 2G partition reserved for system and app usage.
The RAM 1 G.
you can see it in Settings>About phone.

It wouldn't let me update it from stock ICS with Google Now installed.
But I just installed CM10 Licorice and booted over into that and the play store let me update it. What ROM you running? If it is an ICS ROM it must be an ICS versus JB problem.
sorry

Hello
CM11 has a kernel that works a little differently compared to others (ICS/JB): The "virtual memory" (swap space) created by your app is stored in a file in the SD card.
The new CM11 kernel has not allowed to use files as virtual memory (it's unstable and dangerous).
If you insist and want to swap memory, creates the virtual memory space on a partition of the SD card (a little complicated), or use loop files (not recommended, unstable & dangerous).
Anyway, not sure if the program you are using will allow you to do that.
Thanks alot for the information.
