You can also use ODIN software to upload the software version for the Gear Fit once you are in Download mode. :good:

Where did you find this tutorial? ... Nice job. I tested it and works good. But knows somebody where can we find firmware? Does it mean that we can flash custom ROM?

yes, from the looks of the ODIN software to push the ROM over into the Gear Fit in Download mode

Since the OS of the Gear Fit is not Android or even Tizen, I doubt other than upgrades that come from Samsung we will ever see a firmware.

Hello, I'm using Gear Fit with Asus PadFone mini 4.3 and Galaxy Note 3 in Japan.
I found "UPDATEMODE_R350XJP0BND8_R350XXU0BND8.tar"
in the Gear Fit Manager_1.50.0415.APK file.
.
Is this the firmware for Gear Fit ?
If is this file writable on Gear Fit with Download-mode and odin,
Can we update Gear Fit without Galaxy smartphone ?

Of course yes.
Now I found three binary files.
"UPDATEMODE_R350OXA0ANCF_R350XXU0ANCF.tar" in GearFit-update.apk
"UPDATEMODE_R350OXA0BND8_R350XXU0BND8.tar" in GearFitManager1.49.apk
"UPDATEMODE_R350XJP0BND8_R350XXU0BND8.tar" in Gear Fit Manager_1.50.0415.apk
The last one get from my Note 3, other two download from xda-developers.

The newest firmware (R350XXU0BNG2) is not on SamMobile.
