[Q] ATT Visual Voicemail Wifi Fix Needed! Need Pro Developer - AT&T HTC One (M8)

I devised a solution to restore native visual voicemail to the HTC One M8 running a custom ROM mod. It works great, but was recently discovered that voicemails will not download if your phone is on a Wifi Connection.
Here's my thread where I posted the Visual Voicemail Fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2738057
We need a fix for the Wifi Problem
So it turns out that your Voicemails won't download when you're connected to a Wifi Network. The app seems to default it's connectivity to Wifi when both a Wifi and Mobile Data Connection are available. As soon as you move away from your wifi connection or disconnect, your voicemails will immediately download. We need a hard-core developer to debug this. It's a function of what connection Visual Voicemail should default to when checking for voicemails, and that connection should probably be cellular data.

You "devised a solution"...smh...really should rephrase that...lol..and another problem youll have is opening messages from the extreme power saving mode...Good Luck in your quest sir...:0)

most efficient setup for voip on airplane mode while retaining carrier number?

I'm new to this. So here is what I want to do in summary:
I am under the impression that voice/grooveip is one of the cheapest combos for having voip on a wifi-only (airplane mode with wifi) configuration. The key point is that when I am on my at&t radio I want calls to come to me as they normally do. When I am at home where my radio is poor and my wifi is blasting(airplane mode, wifi only on) , I want a setup that would allow someone to dial my at&t number and have it connect seamlessly to my grooveip/voip client.
Current setup: have calls forwarded to google voice which forwards them to goochat chat-> grooveip only when i'm on wifi, but in my rom have voicemail set to "my carrier". Why is it that I could see these voicemail in google voicethen? When I go on radio only, I don't have a voicemail notification of voicemail from my carrier. . I don't even have a google voicemail activated. Does that mean I am just managing my at&t voicemails through google voice?
Much appreciated guys. Grinding through the learning curve for this

[Q] Data capture/tracking

I am a developer with an existing android app. Users have asked for a wifi only mode to avoid roaming charges when traveling. I believe I have set it all up successfully but want to be able to validate that theory..
What I am trying to figure out is if there is an app or other way to trap the data coming out of the app via the cell network (lots of background web service calls). Since I do not own all of the web services, I cannot trap from the server side.
Any ideas? I basically want to turn on a trace like you would do in SQL, and look at what is being transmitted on the phone when wifi is off but cell is on. I don't need the actual packets, just that a call was made to one of my https services. If a call is made in wifi only mode, then I know I didn't get everything.
Thanks.
Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but give Network Log a look

Data while Calling?

Has anyone found a way to use Cellular Data while on a phone call? (Verizon V30 without being on WiFi) I've found posts saying that turning off the Advanced Calling feature does get you 1X data service, which it does, but what about getting full 4G working? Anyone have similar experiences?
Thanks
I've never understood this.
I've been on calls and had emails come in. I've been on calls while using my hotspot with no issues.
So what am I missing?
I just tested mine, on a regular 4G connection here at work. Was able to dial into my VM and listen to all the playback, and then go play around on data as normal. Not sure what the issue might be going on. I haven't changed any call settings (other than enabled wifi calling at home).

Can't Receive MMS While Connected to WiFi

USA TA-1085 here, had this issue since I've had the phone. I'm on an AT&T post-paid plan and I can't send or receive MMS, whether it's a picture or a group text, while connected to WiFi. If WiFi is switched off or not connected to a network, MMS functions seamlessly. If connected to a network, Android Messages will prompt me to download, and it'll spin for awhile and then time out. I've tried other messaging apps like Textra with no results. My APN settings are the same as my previous phone (Moto G5+)
Nokia Support had me delete a lot of system app data, toggle battery saver, and nothing worked. They only indicated that a solution may be presented through an app or system update, that they report bugs to Google with a request for resolution, that updates "usually come every month" and "most likely within November I should receive it." For what it's worth, that's a similar response I got to issues with Smart Lock, and those issues have since been resolved.
Has anyone else seen a similar issue and fixed it?
I just tried this on my 7.1 and had no issues. I sent an mms from a MintMobile device to my 7.1 on AT&T and it worked with the WiFi connected. I know this doesn't really help but I'm just letting you know as another data point.
I had issues with MMS in general. I removed all the APNs, created a new one with all the proper TMobile info, and installed Textra (which I own). No issues since then.
Oddly, I wasn't aware I may have been having MMS issues but while I was checking the APN for LTE connection I messed something up and lost connection completely and reset my APN's to default. This prompted an MMS message to be immediately delivered upon reconnecting which could have been a coincidence but after seeing this post and testing sending MMS messages to myself and friends, I have no issues now on T-Mobile on Wi-Fi or off.
Saw a thread in the Nokia 7.1 forum that links this behavior to WiFi calling. Is that enabled on your phone?

Question Issue with voice calls being incomprehensible when WiFi calling and Verzion 5G/LTE are both active on Verzion P6

I'm having issues with voice calls on my Verizon Pixel 6. I live in a wooded area with not great 5G/LTE reception and rely heavily on WiFi calling as such. I had no issues with my P4xl. After upgrading to the P6, I am having constant issues when I receive or make a voice call to a friend or family member.
Their voice becomes echoed and incomprehensible. Sounds like you are talking to a robot.
The only workaround I've found so far is to disable the WiFi manually in the settings while you are on a call. Then I am on the network (either 5G or LTE) with not great reception - one bar.
I have a feeling it is an issue between the WiFi calling hand off and the network. I've tried adjusting the setting in the developer options turning off Mobile Data Always Active. No luck.
Also changed my WiFi preferences to Use Device MAC and that did not help either.
I'm concerned because if someone else needed to use my phone in an emergency, they would run the risk of not being able to make a clear and successful call.
Any help appreciated!
bump
