Klick Quick Button / 360 Quick Button - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

Edit: Get the Klick Quick Button / 360 Quick Button since the Xiaomi only works with Xiaomi phones at the moment (thanks for reminder makavelisk)
Function:
You can plug it into your android phone headset jack and turn it into a clickable button to take quick pictures, turn on the flashlight, record phone calls and so on via programmed short and long clicks, all without unlocking your phone.
Pretty much the same thing as the Pressy at 1/10 the cost depending on how many you buy (and who you buy from).
-------------
Anyone have one of these?
You can find these on aliexpress for approximately $5, It's also known as a klick quick button I believe.
Sounds like a bargain compared to the $27 Pressy equivalent,

Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

It adds an extra hardware button on your phone though the headphone jack. The Xiaomi Mikey will only work on Xiaomi phones that have Miui OS. Not sure if you could find the apk to make this work for the Note.
I have a Pressy on order but would cancel if this would actually work for us.

You have to download the app and you can map any program using the click.
to open program it's single click, double click, triple click and long hold etc.

It works with most android phones 4.0 and up. I have the apps if anyone wants them.

I think they are all the same, just rebadged, you can use any of the app for either one version.
my mistake, the pressy does not work.

They flat out copied Pressy and they should expect a lawsuit. Don't buy from them. Wait for Pressy

Wait AND pay significantly more...
Sounds like a winning combination

How about you tell Pressy, stop sending jobs to China just to increase your profit margins. If the American company developed Pressy in America, maybe this would have never been cloned so fast. By the way, I purchased 5 mikey for $17 and received them two weeks ago. Pressy wants $27 per unit and still hasn't delivered the goods to their backers... China/Xiaomi are the good guys lol. Never thought I would say that lol

You can program certain functions to correspond to clicks, i.e., 2 clicks to launch the camera, 3 to turn on bluetooth, one long click to launch the voice recorder etc...

This is interesting but $10 for Klick is still pricey really. Anybody received their unit and do a mini review?

Must have been something recent (in the last year), I didn't have that option when I was on HERO
ok. I just downloaded some of those 10c apps a moment ago. When I first wanted to pay for them, it said, "bill to my sprint account" but it was greyed out and not available.
I saw a little tab saying that I needed to accept new terms from sprint. Once I checked that tab, I was able bill to sprint again.
I do know that I read a while back that this was being discontinued. The overall tone of the comments were not favorable. Perhaps Sprint got some negative feedback and decided to bring that option back with a new terms and conditions.
I think Sprint Did Away with it... But if it Still Works for some then thats Weird! Maybe it has something to do with the Market version your using?

No NFC?!

I just got off the phone with Samsung and they confirmed my hunch that the Galaxy Note does NOT have NFC capabilities.
Why would they include it in the skyrocket and then drop it in the newer note?
Do you think it could be because of the way that AT&T is going to handle NFC by requiring a special SIM card? Will the SIM card take over the NFC of the phone?
Does anyone know anything about this?
We have the NFC chip in the back cover. Its just not enabled.

Near Field Communication (NFC) will be available on this phone
in the future, but is now temporarily disabled.
I am hoping this will be opened up at some point with later releases of software, custom or not. I would love to slim down my actual wallet.

I had seen that but had also seen people saying that it didn't have it which is why I called Samsung. Just conflicting answers so I went to the source. Now I'm not sure why Samsung would say it doesn't have it when it does and is just inactive. My initial questions are invalid at this point as the users above have pointed out that it does have it and I posted the picture showing what I assume is the NFC chip.
That being said... I really hope that one of the great Devs around here can cook something up that enables it. I used it on my skyrocket and am missing it.
IMO, the ROMs should be created from the Canadian versions...or at least have the stuff you need stolen from them.
NFC is active
Can turn LTE on and off
Have S Planner
Those are three I can think of off the top of my head...there may be more.

My guess, NFC will be made available with the roll out of the iPhone 5. Of course, that will essentially give the iPhone exclusive use of the feature for at least 6 months while it's slowly rolled out to older phones that have it disabled. (not that Apple would ever make a deal to stymie the competition so it looks like they were an innovator of something)

ton's of uses... not just payments.
one of the skyrocket guys has a tag set on his night stand that he set up to do a number of things when he sets his phone on it...ie turn volume down, turn on alarms etc etc ...all just buy setting the phone there
Open the back of the phone up, look at the inside of the back casing, the thing attached there with the 2 contacts on it is the nfc chip or radio. We have it, its just not active on the stock ROM but I assume will be on the ics upgrade or custom ROM as some have already pointed out.

nothing works with NFC unless you happen to live in a bigger city, and not even then usually. It's just a check box feature on phones. It may have a place in the future, but currently there is no use for a majority of people.

Id like to see a phone about the size and shape of the S3..
with the screen on front to act as normal....

The existing "front" screen would flip to the rear.. and exposing 3 new screens making up a larger 16:10 display.
tripling the screen size of the 'closed' phone.
Of course, the 'closed' phone's rear cam with flash would become the new front cam and vice-a-versa.

One of the "possibilities" they showed in the video was something just like that, except it only opened bi-fold. Still an awesome idea, I would just be worried about durability. Anything folded and unfolded 100 times a day is going to wear out

Can't wait for samsung to make a full 10" rollable flexi sheet w/Wacom digitizer integration.
I'm concerned about reliability in a flexible device as well.
I suspect they may use a "wrap " feature first, using abstract edges and multi screen functions.
A flexible display wrapped around ....say ....a cylinder, would be simply badazz....
Possibilities are indeed endless ....g

I have to agree that their is definately some concern with flexi screens, and development\. But can you also imagine the galaxy pebble but phone size, and oval shapped fully wrapped all the way around with a screen? That would also be sick.

Just too troublesome to plug in the earpiece or too irritating to have it on my ear all the time.

now using it with my note 2 when on the move.
usually if i'm in the office...i'll just use the phone as it is.

I am going for the SBH52 immediately when released. Right now, I am using the SBH20.
Not even considering a headset.
Just going to use it up to my face and be proud of my geek tech!
After using my Samsung Gtab 7.7 as a phone for 6 months this is nothing. Couldn't give a damn what other people think about how I use my tech.
Wear it loud wear it proud!
I want this. I'm used to having big phones but I feel like the SBH52 is a necessity with the z ultra. Any one know how much the expected price should be?

May I ask why? Why do you care what people think?
The biggest issue for its size is purely pocketability - but as many reviewers and users have shown this is not an issue.
Don't fall to they hype and marketing- you don't need a headset. Put it up to your face and away you go. Besides the size will help block peoples faces so you won't even see them, should you care
You have a super computer in your pocket, not some teeny weeny iPhone. Social conventions of 1 handed use and how it looks on your face absolutely make no sense to me.
My 2c
The reason I want the SBH52 is mostly for music, I prefer to have the device safely in the pocket but still being able to control playback and see track info etc from the headset.
The phone feature of the SBH52 is a nice addition.
Otherwise, I would go for the MW1.
Regarding price: I expect the SBH52 to be around $80. Cheaper than the MW1 (which I regard as a higher end product with its internal card slot) but slightly more expensive than the SBH50.
In fact, it is possible that Sony ditches the SBH50 and simply replaces it with the 52 since they are very closely related.
If there would be a MW2 with apt-x and microSD slot, I would wait for it instead but no such info exist (if we are lucky, something will be said during the IFA fair in Berlin when they will release the i1 Honami).

SBH52 can be use as a headset. (by the device itself)
That looks even more ridiculous than just holding the phone up to our ears

Pressy not working

I have a official Press I got on eBay for a good deal and it works great on my nexus 7, however it won't work at all on my G3. Is this a problem with the app, or is it my phone?

And i thought i was alone. Or initially, thought the item was faulty on arrival!
I bought Klick (made in China, a Pressy rip-off/clone) off eBay and couldnt get it to work on my rooted G3. But it works fine on my friend's unrooted Note 3.
I guess, its an issue with G3 then.

I figured, its unfortunate because I won't really use it as much on my N7, however it only cost me $10 so its not that bad.
that is unfortunate, I jsut ordered an lg3 and I use my pressy often, hopfully it'll work with an app update
I talked with the CEO of perssy, and they know that it doesn't work.
They are testing it now
I have on the way one klick button... :/

I thought it was just me we'll I am using my Pressy on my sony z ultra in the mean time until they get this sorted.
I hope it gets fixed soon. It's fairly useful to toggle Bluetooth when I get in my car.

I have klick.. I made a tread on here where you can get it for 24p. Works fine with my phone. At first it was having problems.. It would open some sort of voice command service called EULA when I presses it. Never heard of the app, it would ask me to agree to terms and conditions which I found abit suspect so I uninstalled the klick app but since I updated the phone firmware it's working great.

I got an email back from pressy saying they are having compatibly issues with the G3. Did you do anything special to make it work?

I was a Pressy Kickstarter supporter and got the Green Kickstarter Edition plus the shirt. I don't have an android device at the moment, was considering switching to a G3, but now this is just another reason to hold off.

If that's the only thing holding you back it's not a big deal. You can't use Google now anywhere with pressy anyway. It's now collecting dust in my nightstand and I'm ok with that. The G3 is a great phone so don't let a little button stop you from getting it.

What firmware are u on now? Are u rooted?
I believe EULA = End User Licence Agreement. Those dialog windows where we almost always never read but just click yes.
Stock latest firmware v10e. Klick works flawlessly, I don't get anymore but prompts for EULA. Thought it was suspect as I only had a flash light set up as a shortcut but it would open a voice command service. Plus the Klick app requires a lot of permission/access when you install it.

Updated my firmware to 10g and Klick worked a moment ago. Was very delighted. But after i plugged in my earphone to listen to music, i re-inserted Klick and it failed to work!! This really bugs me till now!
I keep getting the b/m screen whenever i press Klick. Can someone help me out with this? D855/10g/rooted.

Pressy does not work with LG G3 FWA/E, it seems initialize ok. But after first screen lock or restart it's dead. AVOID.
I tried with with Sony Z2 and LG G3 855 32 GB.
I just bought an LG fiesta and unboxed my Pressy. It will not respond to clicks/presses of the button at all. Phone is 3 days old. Pressy is New out of the box.
