Installation Instructions
You must unlock your bootloader via htcdev.com (unless ofc you are on the dev edition or S-Off)
You must have a custom recovery installed
Go to http://get.cm/?device=m8 and download the latest CM11.0 nightly.
Locate 4.4 Gapps via a quick Google search.
Fully wipe your device from Recovery if you are not coming from CM11.0 already.
Reboot into recovery and install.

This is probably a known issue, but ima report it anyway. i'm on the 05/12 build. when in phone call, if speaker is activated, the other party can not hear me.
Anyway to get double tap to wake phone? the one feature I miss... otherwise great work!

I know that you know that this is a known issue. It's been posted in every AOSP thread since AOSP based ROMs were released. You've posted in quite a few of them. This is nothing new.

I built this while trying to learn more about compiling from source so I thought I would release it for everyone else. Fair warning, I'm still a n00b at building/fixing issues and I'm still learning, so bear with me. I only tested this build for a couple hours and didn't notice any bugs that weren't already pointed out in CM.

Iirc the way flyhalf did the patch modifies build.prop, not replaces it, so it should work for any ROM based on Chad's trees. Give it a test and let people know :beer:

Just open your build.prop and change
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1 to telephony.lteOnGsmDevice=1
and comment telephony.rilV7NeedCDMALTEPhone = true by adding # before that and restart your phone
that's what Flyhalf205 gsm patch do.

You also need the APN file or it won't have anything besides Verizon. apns-conf.XML in /etc. Needs root:root 644.

A lot of talk the past few days have been about a new ROM in the making. Omni ROM. Seems very promising. I hope someone could brunch it for us. OFC it is still in infancy, so bugs are expected until ironed out. This new ROM team is so official, XDA gave them their own sub forum.

The wifi problems that are in the other AOSP roms seem to be present in Slim also.

I don't have a daily. I'll be using GPE for a few days to test stability. Test CM for a day or two to make sure it's stable. Flash NuSense cause I miss sense for a few days. Then repeat with different projects I am working on like Sense 4.4.3 rom and GPE 4.4.4 :laugh:

I always look for greater battery life. In your opinion, which htc one max rom has the best battery life? i find that skydragon does it for me but what do you think?

Out of everything I get the best battery life on NuSense. I use trickster app to set govenors and cpu freq

Developers need to build and match the camera from scratch on the M9.
The reason: We don't have GPE M9 to pull the camera blobs from there and easily merge it.

So I assume that's a "no" for the camera?

There is a progress over hima-dev github but they might using new place for the code (don't know).
All i know that devs making great progress with the camera functionality.

Someone quouted in candy5 thread about it to the mainteiner and he said that there is a progress regarding the camera.
Great to see slim rom team here on the m9. Used them a lot on my galaxy s4 so can vouch for how awesome their roms are

The latest CM commit related to camera happened 4 days ago.
Yeah it's just a kernel update. So far to my knowledge no progress has been made but I know they are trying

Yeah, looks like you're right. My bad
On a side note: Touchscreen isn't working for Max1187x touchscreen. I believe candyrom is the only so far that has this issue fixed.

So, I'm really glad to see slim for my m9. Here are things I recognized on the first run. Off-screen gestures like dt2w are not working.

The things I mentioned above your post. And no reboots. I had Google service force closes after I flashed the add-on for multi-dpi support. Then I flashed again without it and everything is working great.
