[Q] Odin TCE-C105AUBUAND1-20140411191314.zip File Debloated??? - Samsung Galaxy S 4 Zoom

Is there any carrier specific bloatware in this release compared to the AT&T Version?
If there isn't I'll probably flash this version as opposed to sticking to the Stock AT&T 4.2.2
http://samsung-updates.com/details/26246//SM-C105A/TCE/C105AUBUAND1.html

Not sure about the release. But if you use kingoroot and root the device, you can use titanium backup to remove all the att bloatware. That is what i did with my Zoom and it runs much smoother now. Here is the link to the root http://www.kingoapp.com/android-root/download.htm

Errr it won't let me enter download mode, I get to the press volume up to enter screen or volume down to cancel and the volume rocker won't do anything...

Will not flash. Neither will C105AUBUAMJ1 or C105AUBUANA1. So soft brick your ATT S4Z and you are boned. BTW the supposed official firmware is C105AUCUAMJ2 and is unavailable for DL.

[q] help please!!!

What Happened:
I have an unlocked SGS2 running with orange, Punta Cana, Dominican Rep.
I tried to upgrade from 2.3.4 to 2.3.5 using odin and Samsung_GALAXY_S2_ATT_I777UCKJ1_ when it went to a loop almost finishing, of course did the stupid thing of unplugging it after waiting for some time and the phone bricked. After finding out desperately, I use this CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEU_KE2-v4.0-CWM4 with odin and it got rooted and running, but I got the AT&T rom and no wifi, plus poor quality calls(people can barely hear me). Kept doing more stupid things, I used Gingerbreak to unroot(yes, I'm stupid, but I was desperate), and what it did was disabling superuser, so when I try to use CWM, it says that it needs supeuser. I'm stucked!!! casuse I can't flash the phone or put it in a download mode anymore, please help to restore it as it was before, rooted or unrooted with a Samsung roam.
Thanks in advance.
Turn the phone off then hold down home and volume up and power it on again (keep holding home and volume up). That puts it in recovery mode so you can flash with CWM. Alternatively, hold down home and volume down when powering up to enter download mode where you can use Odin to flash.
Flash from whichever suits you best.
Since you've done a few different things and may have got it a bit messy, I'd recommend you flash a stock firmware to get back to a good state and then decide where you want to go from there.
Look at the bookmarks in my signature for links to branded and unbranded firmware.
Read, read, and read some more before you do anything! Good luck
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
I've tried that, but just reboots normally. I'll keep trying though. I will love to put it back where it was before, I've been depressed since last night. Thanks for answering, will let you know whatever happens.
Thx
Hey, I just could get into download mode and rooted it good, but I still have the AT&T thing coming out, and I'm sure that's why I can't get no wifi or good call quality, still can get hspa, but of course, charges will be made, so how Can I get rid of the AT&T thing?

THIS WILL FIX YOUR ISSUE AS I WENT THROUGH THE SAME PROBLEM YOU ARE EXPERIENCING.
WARNING IT WILL DELETE YOUR DATA. IF YOUR DATA IS IMPORTANT FIND ANOTHER MEANS...
You MUST have Kies full installed on the desktop/laptop and make sure you're updated to the latest version.
1) Boot your note into download mode(hold down volume button at the same time as the power button, let go of power button when you feel
your phone vibrate but keep holding down button until you see a prompt to push up volume button to continue or down volume button to
cancel, hit the up button your are now in download mode.)
2) Connect your Note to the laptop with factory USB cable
2) Launch Kies on your desktop (full version)
4) Choose Tools, Firmware upgrade & initialization
a) While in download mode, pull battery and enter the S/N & model name (ALL CAPS!!)
b) It will prompt to initialize to original settings. Click "YES"
c) It will prompt to initialize the latest version. Click "YES"
d) It will download the firmware upgrade components (DO NOT DISCONNECT THE DEVICE!!)
5) It will prompt for firmware upgrade and initialization.
a) Click check box for reading above information
b) Click your choice if you want your information saved on Samsung Kies corporate servers (I choose WITHOUT saving).
Just kick back, wait and the phone will update to the original out of box software with the latest updates already applied. No issue with anything, no tripping of the flash counter, and Samsung/AT&T knows now different (if you tripped the counter back before performing this, or performed the process of installing CWM recovery through ADB as to NOT trip the flash counter when changing recovery).
This is the EXACT process I did, and had an AT&T tech verify and it's not detectable I was rooted, and was running a custom ICS ROM. Now, I will qualify that I DID the Recovery installation with ADB so that I didn't trip the counter with the Recovery installation. So if they are able to check the binary information to detect modification even with flash counter reset, that's out of my hands and can't confirm or deny.

You cannot root an ice rom with a gb kernel. You need to find a rooted ics kernel and flash it with Odin. Keep in mind it needs to be an Odin flashable .tar. if you need help finding one pm me and I will direct you to one.

Rooting is very easy and quite low risk as long as your getting your information from reliable sources. The xda community is very knowledgeable and generous. MOST of the information you find here can be taken to heart.

[Q] Stuck in Android System Recovery

Got my son an android player yp-g70cyw and I wanted to upgrade the OS. I downloaded odin, a firmware which I got from doing a search on how to upgrade the firmware. this is the name of the file: Stock ROM: YP-G70_XET_G70XXKPH_G70XXKPH_G70XXKPH. I then used odin, everything seemed good. I did notice that I seemed to lose my home, back and menu soft buttons which was a pain. So I then tried to do a factory reset my going into Android System Recovery. I am now stuck there. I can move the selection up and down, but I cannot select anything. Everything I have read says use the home key for the OK or selection button, but as I said previously, I think the home key doesn't work anymore since I upgraded to that firmware.
So, does anyone know of a different firmware? Maybe back to stock, I would be fine with that, just thought I would upgrade, but that has turned into a real pain. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry but the only way to fix it is to buy a USB jig search it up on eBay then you'll need to install the same firmware but for his device nationality (US,Intl) hoped this helped

You are right. You select with the home button, but you have an international kernel on a USA player, and since the home buttons are different, yours doesn't do anything right now. You have 2 options. You can either flash the stock UEKI8 package, or flash Entropy512's kernel with any other firmware (use the Odin package first; then upgrade with the latest zip). If you still want stock, I'd upgrade to the XXKPL firmware (plus Entropy's kernel so your buttons work). It's a lot better than UEKI8.
P.S. no jig needed.

[Q] Unroot / return to stock without using power button.

So my girlfriend's Verizon Galaxy S III is in quite the jam. The power button stopped working. She has to use a software button to turn the screen off and the home key to turn it back on.
Verizon sent over a replacement, but she needs to send the original phone in. Problem is, the normal methods for returning to stock all involve Odin, which requires the phone to enter Download mode....which we can't do. The phone won't register the power button being held down. I don't even want to turn it off since I'm not sure it could be turned back on.
So I've been googling around for another way (already having used Triangle Away) and found a couple of sets of instructions (here and here) on using Odin Mobile to flash the phone back to stock. But there seem to be a lot of comments around, especially on the YouTube video guides, of people saying it bricked their phone.
What's the safest bet here? As far as I can tell these are the options:
-Shut down the phone and pray the power button somehow works for getting into download mode (doubtful) so I can use Odin.
-Restore a nandroid / flash a zip of the stock ROM and then use EZ Root or whatever to unroot the phone and hope Verizon doesn't look into it.
-Use one of these sets of instructions for Mobile Odin...though it's not clear which one is best and what files I should be using.
-Just send it in and pray.
Odin Mobile seems like the smartest option...but the instructions out there aren't as comprehensive and up to date as I'd like. I'd rather not brick the phone.
Can anyone help? The phone is currently on AOKP 4.2 Milestone.

wrong section buddy. this is international gs3 forum! here's where you have to go : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1708
Answer has nothing to do with phone model.
Mobile Odin is the best option you have. I've never used it for a whole Rom. Install mobile Odin + its kernel flash add on (specific for phone model, it's well guided) then I guess you download a whole Sammy Rom in tar format.
Then in mobile Odin use Open File option file in menu.
I guess there must be some guides to confirm that.
Thanks for the response! Didn't realize I was in the wrong section. I'll post over there to see if people have recommendations for which files I use.
you can reboot into download via adb.
it's something like "reboot bootloader", use search.

[Q]GT-I9000 Alterantive to recovery mode

Hello everybody,
i don't like to ask for help, but here, i'm stuck and don't find any solution.
Apparently, as many user experienced with they SGS 2, i have the volume down button broken...
This button is needed to go in download mode for rooting the phone. i found an alternative solution to enter in download mode by doing myself a JIG micro USB cable.
So, when i put the cable in, phone goes into download mode, and i was able to root my XWJPA version with Odin and the correct CF-Root file.
Now, i try to update my phone to jellybean 4.1.2 for example or another release, but i need to go inside the recovery mode after copying my file into my SDCard, and then "navigate" using the volume button to choose the file to use for update...
Ok, but i can't do it because the volume down button doesnt work and by pressing the vol up button i can't navigate to down lool
I'm wondering if somebody know another method to upgrade the firmware of this phone without the recovery mode?
Thank you
You don't really have any options. Get your buttons fixed, messing with your phone when you've got dodgy hardware is foolhardy I.E if anything goes wrong, you might not be able to fix it.
You're pretty much stuck with only flashing stuff that's flashable with Odin.
I knwo it's dangerous, but the phone dont work correctly anymore.
For the story, the microphone don't work when calling people. But working in video. i read somewhere that an update can "maybe" fix the mic problem if it's a soft bug.
Update, because i'm not able to reset it to it's factory settings :s Not able to move in recovery mode, and when trying to reset in the samsung menu a code is asked, and my girlfriend don't remember is password (it's a blonde one, maybe it's the reason )
So you gonna ask me, if it's only for a simple update, no need to rrot, no need to flash CM firmware... ok, but the Kies tools from samsung don't wanna upgrade my GT-I9000 who is in 2.2 because it's said that the S/N is wrong... i already trying to type it in many way, it doesn't work
So, if samsung can upgrade theyr firmware via windows application i was thinking that maybe there is soft solution for other firmware, or maybe another solution to upgrade, even with a stock firmware no?
Microphone fixed...
I just put out the home button module where the mic is attached on, put in on again and now the mic is working...
Maybe a shock have unclip the connector a little, don't know.
Now i will try to update the phone with odin to a new version, i just found the tuto
You can close the post
Thing is, almost all custom roms are CWM flashable only (a few kernels have Odin flashable versions), so unless you find a way to use recovery effectively, you're going to be stuck with whatever you can flash with Odin. Good job getting the things you've been able to work tho
