[KERNEL] KING's Kernel - Galaxy S Advance I9070 Original Android Developmen

I'm here with a simple but fast kernel for AOSP 4.4.2.
Download with this link you get always the latest image.
KING's Kernel Manager: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747094 to get OTA updates
Features:
Vibration intensity tweakable
- Allows to change vibration intensity
To change value:
Code:
echo x > /sys/vibrator/pwm_value
Change x with a number between 0 and 60. 0 is the strongest, 60 is the weakest.
Dynamic management of dirty page writeback
- Based on a Christopher83 commit.
- Allows to dynamically manage the dirty page writebacks with two different intervals, one when the screen is on and another when the screen is off.
- By using a higher interval we have better performance and less battery consumption, with a very low risk of data loss.
To enable it:
Code:
echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/dynamic_dirty_writeback
To disable it:
Code:
echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/dynamic_dirty_writeback
To customize intervals (in centisecs):
Code:
echo xxxx > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_active_centisecs
echo xxxx > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_suspend_centisecs
default for active: 1500
default for suspend: 500
tested values: 3000 - 1000 , 6000 - 2000
Disabled Gentle Fair Sleepers
- Gives better performance
AIO: Don't plug the I/O queue in do_io_submit()
- 30/35% faster sd card reading
-O3 build optimization
- Gives better performance
Dynamically disable mutex spinning at high load
- Thanks to faux123
- Explanation: https://github.com/KINGbabasula/KING_kernel/commit/518201ca40774129ed9f89af9aebe9ba9ec7770d

Do people even read the OP anymore? There's even a post explaining that it's only for AOSP!
For now. That's the keyword, when it gets compatible with anything other than AOSP 4.4, then it'll be noted in the OP.
God!
On another note, nice! I'll be giving this a try later in the day.

Please system/lib/modules from AOSP 4.4 ? I give "thanks"

Good Job! Where do i put that values for dynamic management of dirty page? I'm noob in those things.

Got it automatically with your app, everything went dell but to be honnest I don't know what to check to give you a usefull feedback. It works very well on latest aosp that's all I can tell.
Do you have a roadmap btw ?

Hi! Good kernel i see some improvements (better battery life on a 2 year old battery), but sometimes phone restarts without reason 3-4 times a day.

I don't get any reboot, I'm sorry

I'm flashing RC2 now.
About RC1 it's really good, I like it, phone is fast and smooth. There are some minor ui glitches but I don't know if it's kernel related or rom related. No reboots so far.

How did you mange to flash this with ukf? It says system not supported....

Cyanogenmod 10 for Samsung Galaxy S Advance
Before starting anything keep in mind that CM10 is obsolete now, we have stable CM11. If you want a stable & bugfree ROM then go for CM11 instead. I'm still newbie here. I started to work on CM10 because it was the only thing i left to learn in Android Development(actually nothing else was left buggy by TeamCanjica . so it was best to start learning from CM10). During these all experiments & improvements i feel like it is stable for daily use so would like to share it. I'll keep doing those experiments (i don't want new features, i only want lagfree & bugfree ROM )
Working:
Telephony
GPS
OMX
Camera/Camcorder (no glitch in panorama)
Bluetooth
WiFi/WiFi Direct
Wireless Tethering
Tripple Buffering (no tearing)
MTP/ADB
Everything except not working
Not Working/Bugs:
Accelerator sensor
Compass is buggy
Some Weird colors in videos on HW Decoder (disable HW overlays in developer options)
Low incall volume (press vol- & then vol+)
Installation:
Download latest build & put it on sdcard
Download latest gapps from http://goo.im/gapps
Wipe Data/ Factory reset from CWM
Install downloaded zip & gapps
Reboot

Hey !!
Now we can have working MIUI v4 !!!
Wysłane z RessurectionRemixowego-fonika 4.4.4
I really was waiting for this. Thanx for your hard work buddy. I hope you will make it more faster and battery efficient like you did great work on harshjelly.
EDIT: Yea! Our phone still Lacks SMOOTHNESS!!! that's caused by 'screen stuttering and little glitches' @cocafe is working on GPU OC that MAY increase smoothness. But still I think our GPU at default clock speed is strong enough to provide better smoothness like other phones have. So this ground is still left if you wanna try. Well goodluck.

Which repo init did you use? I tried a time ago but fails.
I really recommend it! I've been testing it for more than a whole day and everything was great. There are only some minor ui glitches left, much less than in any other custom roms. It's really smooth, stable and quite good in battery life(if not best from other custom roms) IMO!
Try it for urselves !
Once again, great job bro  : )

If i have used them then do you think there would be any bug?
I haven't used those sources, i don't even have them. All blobs from DDULP8 firmware are used.

For color issue in videos, check DIsable HW overlay in developer option.

If you have time then you can work on OmniRom or MIUI rom, both of these roms are quite different compared to others roms.
Its just a suggestion.

Yeah, those changes are already merged (i think that's why CM10 from TC also suffers from this bug). As disabling HW overlays solves this i think newly allocated buffer is not converted to proper pixel format.

[4.4.4]OptiROM [i9070-i9070P]

OPTIROMMy intent is to make an optimized rom for janice, wait let me explain my self better.
After years of hard development (I don't know how to thank TeamCanjica for their awesome work) we have custom roms fully working almost bugless.
I have used as base the AOSPA sources, in my opinion the best rom for our phone and since android 4.4.4 is not updated anymore, I decided to do this by myself and optimize the code to make the rom smoother, faster and battery friendly as more as possible.
Forget the crappy stock JB and other ROMS, flash OPTIROM!
Let's start guys!
REQUISITES
Be almost on JB+ rom rooted with a custom recovery

Cam recorder I think no, for games I have good performance. Try yourself
@hastafiesta
I think its not possible anymore. But i can give u an exammple. For ex Asphalt was working awfully on stock rom and smoothy on KitKat. But try to play hill climb racing or jet pack joride on kitkat and on stock rom. On kitkat u will notice , that game is resposible and fast , but not smooth. Every background game animation will have low FPS famerate. This is a realy small bug. I think no one (acceps me and Antares One) noticed that.
This is caused by our poor mali drivers. (Crapsung fault).

Am I the only having a graphic bug when switching between notification panel and quick settings? The icons moves little bit right out of the screen. Tried to replace SystenUI.apk with one of aopsa beta 5 but it force closes.
Exept that the ROM runs very smooth with no lags.

also, does this rom have a full black mode?

Hi there and thanks
Ext-Card is not mounting for me. Running Cloudy Rom.
Coming from Navel, I Installed Xceed running Cloudy G3 2.5 (20P stock based ROM). Booted flawlessly without problems.. It is a pure stock kernel with minor modifications like OC which is stuck on the 2649 MHz clock speed! Couldn't lower the set OC frequency.. Performance is great due to the OC. Standard Governors, Schedulers and MP decision Hotplug.. Kcal support is there.. No UV support.. Battery life too early to judge.. Hope there are some Kernel and build.prop tweaks embedded..
Good work but more options could really add up to the value of this kernel.. And please fix the OC issue.. I use Kernel Auditor by the way.. Will update about any issues or problems later if any, but so far phone is ultra stable..
Thanks mate
P.S. External card mounted and working good.

Its because only stuff I added to Synapse are the only ones important to fiddle with..other options are needless of any attention since they are auto-magically managed..

Use only Synapse..the option to lower frequencies sticks there..also on my kernel you do not need to underclock..the Ondemand is intelligent enough to choose what frequencies to use on a given situation..for low load/simple tasks it won't even go above 2ghz..my kernel performs out of the box..it does not need attention, so you can enjoy your phones to the fullest..you can read reviews on my G2 kernel thread..

Had to reinstall supersu after the kernel flash because i lost root. I was on 2.65 which patches the boot image i believe.
I reflashed supersu 2.65 and all was good.
Installed no problem and didn't lose root. Everything runs fine.
For now is very fast and stable. but i like to use kernel for 2 o 3 days to tase de perfomance. in less than 24h u can test for real.
not heather. test battery with data on. BT, wifi,WIFISHARE WORKING CORRECT.
So far so good, have had a couple of reboots. Overall it's been pretty smooth and fast though. Trying to find the perfect settings for my device.
I'm on Tapatalk, could you put link to download tab?

27 is the idle frequency when device is in deep sleep. Under working conditions device frequency cant be set at 27
@malbert16442
You will implement the governor simple_emand on GPU?
Do you have any prediction?
Thanks dude.

That was my very first post on X.D.A...so I might of got carried away (obviously. ..since I was ignored). What I want to know is should I stay on Maverick 4.5 and flash the "All other Roms" kernel or install the latest Pure Rom (6.5?) And flash the other kernel? Sorry if I didn't phrase it right before. Thanks in advance.

TA-Mod
here's youre walkthrough to TA-MOD (TAIKO/TAPAN/TOMTOM Audio mod controls)
Its a simple interface to boost your headset and speaker volumes(digital gain controls), they are based mostly on what faux123 has done over various audio chips back then..the difference is you dont have to pause or stop the music while adjusting settings..its still a messy hack but it works perfectly..
Mod works in a bit of a peculiar way as opposed to the latter implementation..now lets move on to the basic controls..
Part 1: Headphone gain controls
This is DISABLED by default, this controls how loud or soft audio output is on your HEADSET/PHONES/EXTERNAL SPEAKERS..To enable controls:
Launch Synapse (Install Synapse from Playstore if you don't have it..)
Go to T.A. - Mod tab
you need to read the warnings/notes 1st
go look for the Headphone section and under it there is a section where you need to Enable/Disable Headphone Gain controls
Given that this mod is DISABLED by default you then PRESS ENABLE Headphone gain controls
now there will be a slight boost upon enabling the Headphone gain controls..if you feel that its already perfect, then you can safely exit Synapse..
If you feel you want more then head over just a bit below and you'll see the presets for Headset Gains..they are a set of "Templates" with varying settings that has been tested out(LOW, MID, HIGH and EXTREME)
If you feel a bit more adventurous then by all means using a terminal emulator at your disposal you can simply issue this command
Code:
[CENTER]echo x > /sys/kernel/tomtom/headset/hp_digigain[/CENTER]
**where x corresponds to the desired increase on volume..values for this option ranges from 0(lowest)-24(highest) I suggest never cross 10 for this option as its really loud..
NOTE: For best and safe results DO NOT USE THIS ALONGSIDE ANY AUDIO MODS..else results can be destructive/unpredictable/devastating..you have been warned
T-Mobile Variant
If you want to try the project out on a "T" Variant, you can follow the steps used on this post..(given you're on STOCK TW ROM's only..)
*Credits due to the owners of the file and for the tester who tried it..
**I'm not liable for any damage that may incur, as I only tested this out on the "G" Variant..
Thanks, but I guess people might wanna see something under the label "features"

After I flash the kernel via TWRP, do I need to do anything else; e.g. tweak any settings in Synapse?

No i think not. I didnt have to tweak anything when using this kernel on my LG G3 few months ago. I installed synapse with this kernel on my Note but there is almost nothing to tweak. Kairi optimized this kernel himself for best performance and battery.

Thanks. Can I uninstall Synapse then? Or does the kernel require it?
