Sense 6.0 T-Mobile Certified! - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

According to the HTC software update page, the T-Mobile HTC One's 6.0 software update has been certified! We should be getting the OTA soon!
http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-software-updates/

Does anyone have any experiences yet? My KitKat update was not very good, until I did a factory reset. Now, it is the most incredibly reliable, fast, good battery phone ever. I am hoping this update doesn't mess that up, as it's my primary work phone.
It keeps prompting me to update, but I am waiting to see how it goes. Can't resist much longer...

I got it this morning 5-17-2014 by manually checking for an update. It requires a wifi connection to download. Seems smoother, but as to battery life it seems about the same.

Wrong version download
Hey there! So I have a rooted SIM unlocked phone (HTC One M7) with the standard T-Mobile OS but for some reason the updater keeps downloading the Sense 6.0 Developer Edition instead of the T-Mobile edition. Does anyone have the OTA ZIP file handy that I could download to manually update? It should be 5.14.531.1 (instead of 5.14.531.11 that my phone keeps downloading).
Thanks!

No, I mean a custom ROM based from the T-Mobile US official Sense 6 release. I'm having trouble getting a good dump though. ADB keeps skipping files while pulling from recovery. Any idea why this happens? I've never had it happen before. Radio is 4T.27.3218.14.

Ok, I have one really stupid question... Is that update for all T-Mobile branded phones, or just in the USA?? Because my phone is branded to T-Mobile Deutschland and I'm wondering when will I get the update.

Thank you! You're absolutely right, I just had to make some changes on my end to let it install an OTA. I am having another issue though and I'm not sure how to fix it. It's telling me that the SoundHound_freemium.apk is missing and the installation fails (when installing from stock recovery). Any idea why that is?

Almost perfect
The only thing now missing from the HTC One M8 apart from the huge bezzel at the bottom (which I do not want) is the double tap to open. I've tried knockr and it does work but burns through your battery because of a limitation on the hardware. I must say the HTC One M7 with sense 6.0 is way better looking now than the M8 now that the black background on the dock has become transparent. Why couldn't they have made the M8 this way and kept the capacitive? Oh well, here's hoping for the M9.

I got the update this morning. So far I like it. It finally got me interested in my home screens and widgets I've been completely ignoring them until now.

Has anyone else's "auto sleep" display timeout stopped working?

[Q] My Rezound shuts down when I try to dial a number

I just upgraded my rezound to ICS.
I'm a gsm user so I want to change the network from cmda to gsm.
But my rezound shuts down when I try to type *#*#4636#*#* on phone dial.
Tried 3 different ROMs(RezROM S4 v2.4, CleanROM 4.5 Standard, RezROM EX v3.4), all came up with same result.
You have to use Venusaur ROM I think.

im having the same reboot problem here. weather the phone is in airplane mode or not, it will reboot as soon as i predd a number or *#......

Both RezROM Ex and CleanROM have Tweaks to change preferred network instantly. But still....I can't dial a damn number which means I can't even make a simple phone call.
upon more thinking of WTF i did today, my issue may have something to do with the way i had things happen today. after i got stuck on teh hTc screen for 20+ minutes, i found a stock rooted rom that i was able to install. after i re-did the stuff i needed to do in the first place, i got it to boot on VENASAUR but im getting the same boot looping issues. like its got internal conflicts or something. now, if i RUU back to 2.3.4, seeing as how im S-OFF, will it cause issues and will i have to relock and then subsequently re-unlock the bootloader? what about the S-OFF? if the answer is yes that i need to bust out the WIRE TRICK?
What firmware are you on? It sounds like you're running a ics rom on gb firmware.
All ics. Found a RUU, but IT FAILED before I had s-off. I realized it FAILED because I WAS TRYING TO GO BACKWARDS. Now that I have S-OFF, I should be good to GO on a RUU. I'm at work and can't really mess with it might now. Now, if I RUU back to 2.3.4, will I lose s-off and whatnot or will I be good to GO?

The spirit of Open Source is to share your knowledge and files with the rest of the world so they can improve on what you do when possible. This is also my philosophy and I would never compromise that!
You are free to use this ROM or any part of this ROM any way you like as long as you give proper credits!
Do not use my work if you cannot give proper credits!
Consider this your permission! Please do not PM me asking if its OK to build off this ROM. Permission granted!
However this does not include my CleanROM series of ROMS. Please do not use those without contacting me first!
This ROM is not a CleanROM. Its a stock rooted and all yours!
CSC Files are the files that tell your phone what kind of phone it is. For example; if you use the Verizon Patch files then this will convert the ROM to the Verizon version (sans the data icons) and allow you to access the Verizon Apps in the Play store. It will also set the APN automatically, etc...
This patch also has the correct RIL files and correct APK files, etc... To work with the Verizon Radio....
The patch in the OP can more than likely be applied to any 7105 ROM but I cannot assure you of that.
Please hit Thanks :good:
Enjoy!

Nah, I just wanted to make sure it booted
I made the ROM via Remote desktop.
If you cant GPS locks thats not unusual fro some devices on VZW. I would try wiping internal storage and wait until GPS locks while on WiFi and its usually good from there.
It has to do with the differences between the International / AT&T Base and the Verizon base. PITA but once you get the lock you are good.

Nah, thats not a firmware update thats for the samsung software like the software store and the Music hub, etc. Its not the same as a carrier update. You can safely allow it to stop the nag and if you dont use any of those Sammy apps you can just disable it.

New 4.2 WWE Leak gives ATT Icons out of the box

As the title states, Mikes ARHD 10.0 Android 4.2.2 Rom just released gives ATT and Tmobile icon support without add-ons. Mike did not add these to the rom, he was as surprised as i was that they were there. This is a first. I know a lot of people are concerned about the ATT icons and hate the International icons... I am one of them Nice job HTC. Thanks a lot @mike1986. for your hard work getting us this rom so fast.

What if we want the international do we just install as international phone or apply a mod over top cause i hate the american way of 4g and 4g lte. 4g is not 4g it hspa
Does anyone know how to trick it into installing the international icons? I hate the ATT icons. They don't fit in with the rest of the phone. The international ones just go with the phone.
Yes I don't like atts data icons makes me want to go back to 4.1.2...
It looks like you are limited to 300KB MMS messages with that rom. AT&T allows 1000KB max size MMS messages.

Odin flashable version available in the Download Repository. I may create a stock plus root version sometime in the next week, but I'm too busy for the next couple of days to even think about it. Haven't heard if it can be rooted easily; no one has talked about it. If you're adventurous, you could try Framaroot and let us know.
I didn't know about that Framaroot thing. Seems like it'd be easier if it works. Haha. I rooted it by flashing a CWM-based kernel for i9000 in Odin, rebooting into recovery and flashing one of the JB kernels for i777, and then downloaded SU from the Play Store. That long, convoluted method works if Framaroot doesn't.

One would assume so. They probably had it fixed by 4.0.4. Guess we'll hear about when people start screaming if its not.
Why are we so pumping up about this 4.1.2 release?
Aren't we using 4.1.2 six months ago? and 4.2.2 months ago?
So it is an official release from AT&T, meaning their loyal clients were still running ICS 'til now? Wow

Aren't we using 4.1.2 six months ago? and 4.2.2 months ago?
So it is an official release from AT&T, meaning their loyal clients were still running ICS 'til now? Wow

+1.
Even if I did not puke at the sight of a Sammy ROM, would never consider flashing a bloat loaded ATT firmware, ever.

It's actually kind of decent

I hated the AT&T ICS ROM, but this one isn't so bad. I would be (and had been until recently) using CM10.1, but my company's email client won't work with Android 4.2, so I'm stuck with needing a 4.1 ROM. I had been using ShoStock 3, which is good in a lot of ways, but it always seems like if it's not an official Samsung ROM or CM, it doesn't really feel "together" for me.
This AT&T JB ROM actually does seem good. Sure it has a bunch of useless Motion gimmick features, and there is the usual bloat, but I was able to root (as mentioned above with Framaroot -- the Aragorn exploit) and disable almost all of the bloat. NFC isn't supported (which is absolutely stupid), but I never had a real use for that anyway. There are lockscreen shortcuts, resizable widgets, and pretty much all of the good JB features are there. In the ICS ROM they made the Power settings widget completely useless by making it take up 2 rows so it could include useless toggles, so I was hoping to see that they had gone back to the single row widget, but it looks like they dropped it completely. In general, things are responsive and smooth, and bright and happy, without being too cartoonish.
Don't get me wrong, I'd rather be on CM, and if my IT department ever updates the Lotus Traveler software to a version that actually works with 4.2, I'll do it in a heartbeat, but in the meantime, I think this is the best 4.1 ROM I could ask for.
Did the update get rid of the android keyboard for any of yall? I updated and I noticed the android keyboard is missing. I went to get it from the play store and it says its already installed but I can't find it anywhere in my phone. Any suggestions?

***OTA Update***CRITICAL

I just recieved an OTA update...seen in pic. I have installed RootKeeper...so am I good?
I deferred the update for 24 hours...how do I delete or disarm the update?
The update name is: LG_VS980_10B_TO_11A
This software update includes enhancements and improvements to your LG G2. (yeah right VZW!)

I think this may be due to the amount of RAM available to the phone... The UI takes up a TON! it was mentioned in another thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2450290 .... but it seems as though it runs out of ram and removes the homescreen from it when you're doing things in other apps
thats exactly why it redraws. hell, stock android redraws still man. my nexus 7 does it. how annoying.

Update didn't remove root
I installed root keeper, backed up my root, temp unrooted and then did the update. After it was done updating, i restored root and it worked fine. I haven't dug into this to see what the update did yet, but you won't lose root as long as you use OTA root keeper and do the necessary steps to keep it before you do the update. Everyone have it!

Did you have a custom recovery installed?
I hope this doesnt mess up root bc this thing keeps pooping up on my screen. Guess ill schedule it for later but not automatic??

hmm im pretty certain this OTA will fail for me since i have a custom recovery, i could be wrong though. I would like to test it out
As stated in the other thread, this does not address root or Loki. It's okay to put the Xanax down and stop freaking out.
Is this only on Verizon?

Appears so, I haven't gotten anything on T-Mobile.
Ah, damn. Rebooted for this and got stuck in the TWRP reboot loop.
Anyone figure out how to get out of that?
