Dear all,

It would be nice if you want to tell me how :silly:

I'll say you can check it out in the gear fit manager. It is under the Notifications section.

There's nothing like this... Only Calls, Messages, Emails and Weather...

I came across this image of but don't know if it is real, or if it requires a 3rd party app installed.
Thanks. eon

you need just to slide down the statusbar!
That looks really good. Good question, possible 3rd party app or the handset has been rooted. If you find out please post....

If you don't mind using another app, Handcent SMS lets you keep the screen off when a message is received.
That app has bad reviews... anyone know if chompSMS has this feature?
My screen doesn't turn on when I get a text, I thought that was the norm!?

Go SMS Pro also has an option for turning the screen on when message arrives.

4,5 Stars for 450 000 Downloads it's not that bad ??
I use the App over more than 15 Months and never had a problem with it. Try it out :fingers-crossed:
Personally I think Hancent is the best especially for the speaking text feature but you could try to turn off the preview feature in message settings not sure if it will work but worth a try

New version of Gmail

The newest version of Gmail is supposed to have the ability to delete and archive an email right from the notification (on jelly bean). I updated and don't see this ability. I don't see how this is an option. Has anyone else experienced this? What's the deal?
Thanks

This is really bothering me. Don't know what is going on.
It only works if you receive one email at a time from my experience. For example if you have it on auto sync an a new email is received. It won't work if you manually sync and 10 emails pop up. Again this is what I'm experiencing.

Try doing a reverse 'pinch-to-zoom' on a message in your notification tray. It should zoom out and give you the options to archive or reply.
I see the "Archive" and "Reply" options, but where's "Delete"?
Just select the messages you want to delete and the option will show up in icon bar

From the Gmail app, go to Settings>General Settings>Swiping Conversation List>Always Delete and I think the option in your notifications will allow you to delete.

Thanks! I saw that option but for some reason thought it was only for the conversation list within the app, not the drop-down menu. Just gave it a shot and it worked!

Replying with SMS

Am I right in thinking that I can only reply on the watch whilst using Hangouts? If I change my SMS app on my phone to Handcent, I get the notification but no option to reply!
Will I have to wait for the app to be updated?

Yes
I thought as much, thanks.
I have just found the EvolveSMS has just updated to support Android Wear - not as good as Handcent (IMHO) but better than Hangouts.

You can do so by means of ADB All what's required is you write a related Windows command script.
