I disistallato the home with titanium backup and now when I turn on my phone I only have the black screen where I can not do anything.
The phone has root permissions, however, it is not unlocked and I can not install a rom.
I, however, the recovery function which flash a home in zip format.
On the Internet, however, not been able to find home zip.
If someone had the good will of a zipparmi zipme and send it home with him would be very grateful.
On GooglePlay we are home for less than 200k for example fast simple home or home.
Just install it on your device and then converts it into zip format zipme flashabile.

None that i know of. Maybe with some apk editing we can fix that, but i don't know. Ray's screen is too perfect that all the text is too small..

Hi all. I am really excited to install custom ROM in other thread. But I don't want to lose my apps and settings. Is there a way to backup and restore them after flashing? You know, need not an hour to do that. Thanks.

You can download an app from the market such as titainium backup or my backup, that will back up all your apps and data, once you install your rom download the app from the market again and restore. All of your apps will be restored
There are a few paid and none paid apps in market, I use paid version of titainium backup but i have used my backup in the past

if your phone is rooted, you can edit file /system/build.prop. at string ro.sf.lcd_density=240 (9 from bottom) and change density to 260 or 280, than ALL text elements will slightly bigger. need reboot after changing.
Well frankly i don't think the messaging fonts are smaller... It's quite comfortable...
That lcd build.prop method was very common in Sensation section... but there we used to decrease it to 204 and with that you get 5x5 application drawer inn HTC sense...,don't know how it will behave here...
secondly, users reported that some market applications show incompatible if you change lcd density...

or use Astro File Manager to backup your apps, it's free though
and download the latest version

I have my phone rooted with unlocked bootloader and i use stock rom .42 with Doomkernel.
Now when I connect my Ray to PC, PC Companion says that new firmware is available for my phone (.62). Do you know what would happen if I would start updating through PC Companion? Brick? Loosing root? Nothing? Simply updating? What is your oppinion about that? Thanks for support.

Don't.think.you get brick doing it by.USB only.over the air.
My.bootloader is unlocked when I tired to update it told me I couldn't as running a moddified rom?

I'd recommend reverting to stock form again(relock bootloader, unroot, stock firmware), then update

There will be ICS on March/April this year. Don't fret. There are some beta/Alpha ROM here on MIUI version and CM 9 version.

i already did it some time ago...but now i can´t get it to work again and this file doesn´t exist anymore
my steps are:
- open .apk in betterzip
- take out some .png and change it
- replace the .png
- save the .apk
- sign it
- install
- error, app not installed
i did some searches and found something about deleting the files of the "META-INF" folder, but that didn´t work either
i guess it´s related to the launcher not just being a launcher but also a system-file or something
so...what am i doing wrong?

Just put the apk in system/app change permission to rw-r-r and restart.
you mean copy / paste with a file manager or install??
and why change the permission? the original launcher has other permissions (i´m just curious)

Yes! That why I rooted my SK17! I really hate those corners. To delete them yo need AT LEAST Root and a good file explorer, ClockworkMod (CWM) it's a must If you want to modify your phone.

Thanks! But, how about if you got the official ICS installed on xperia mini, Is Is still possible to remove the [Home screen corners] without any mod installed like CWN, ROOT etc. that you said? Is It possible to remove without any mod?

If u want to remove the corners u have to root .. Or u can use any launcher from the market .. And about the offical ICS it will still the same nothing will happen to it .. All u will have to do after root is change the home application ( with corners ) and put another Xperia home without corners it will not change the android only the home ..... here's a way to root ur phone u will find it hard and it is quite hard so if u didn't understand what they are saying don't do anything with ur phone or it will be bricked and this will void ur warranty so proceed on ur own risk.. Hi Guys!
I was thinking that the stock launcher of 201 xperia's is really cool. I really like the feature that allows you to put 4 app icons into the corners. A friend of mine when took a look at my xperia mini pro sad that too. He was interested in the stock launcher. So is earched for it , do anyone know if it is possible to install the same launcher on other phones? It would be nice to "extract" the .apk of the stock launcher

Yes it's possible, just extract the Home.apk and HomePreferences.apk and push it to the other device. Should work
To pull it do it via a file explorer or use adb

and the name of the apk :good:
I tried to use it on a different firmware, on my old days when I start to mess with my phone. It was CM10 but It did not work.
But there are modified home launchers that should work.
Look in the apps section for sejar's thread.

Yes, you copy them from /system/app (I guess you need root in some explorers to do that) to your sdcard, mount the phone to your pc and copy them from your phone to your pc
Or you just use adb pull. You just have to set up adb on your pc (android-sdk) and type

adb pull /system/app
and you've got the whole system/app folder. Now you can take the Home.apk and HomePreferences.apk and try them on another phones. Sometimes it works on different phones, sometimes not. I guess it depends on the other phone

As long you are not on Sony stock firmware you can use Ra3al's port of the xperia S launcher. It supports 4 corners.

I recently instaled acustom rom
'Viper xperia v7'
I followed the instructions and installed the rom...
But after installing i couldnt find my stock browser on my phone..
So basically there is no browser in my phone at this point
I dont wana use chrome... or any other browser..
So how do i get my stock browser back....??

Saqib Nazm,the developer of Viper Xperia,forgot to add browser.apk in Viper Xperia v7.
So you download chrome from play store and use it.

nice guide man :good: but theres a simple way te only things u need is: rom-zip on sd, rootexplorer (or any other root- able- explorer + droidzip to browse zip files (rootexplorer had this build in..)), a brain , now:
1. go to rom zip, open, brows for ur deleted apk in system/app then extract it. (go to extracted)
2. copy it to system/app IN YOUR PHONE!!! then change permissions like every time (if u dunno what i mean google: ''android permissions'' and look on pics )
3. reboot, done this takes for me 3 mins included boot :good:

i love the rom although i don't like these honami apps (they are slow as compared to stock one's).

ive serious problems with home and keyboard, when ram is low they always close, home its not a big issue but keyboard is cause sometimes it close when im typing..
i always use performance control to, supposedly, keep them in memory but now it seems tht doenst work.. so i remember to see tht exist one script to put in init.d tht maybe is solution for my problem but i cant find it now.. can u help me whit tht.. or if im wrong give me some help find another solution?!
btw, if it matters im using Xsola with wolf rom and experimental kernel
