I am new to rooting things but have seen some custom rom's improvement, functionality and looks (UI)
I purchased a new micromax A92 canvas lite which has same specs as micromax canvas 2 a110
Also i have seen many custom roms for micromax canvas 2 a110
So i hope u can made some custom roms for a92 also
The only difference between A92 and A110 is A110 has 8MP rear cam and runs on ICS while A92 have 5MP rear cam with jelly bean 4.1.2
Both of them runs on mediatek MT6577 dual core processor
Also i have a link of firmware flasher of A92 if this can help to create a rom...i will be highly obliged
Please google for official stock rom canvas a92 u will find a site called forum.gsmhosting there u can find the firmware and tools for a92
Please reply YES or NO if any custom rom possible...!!!

Yesss after a lot of research i found one...and its very easy
-First of all download abd drivers for your phone
-Install them in win7
-Then downlaod a software called SRS root
-Install>open it
-One click on root and DONE !!!
Bro find method to install CWM on this phone, i tired many but nothing is working...!!!
Custom ROMs can be made for this phone...Please write posts to Devs...
Enjoy rooting...!!!

i guess porting of A110 rom to A92 shud works as both has same specs like MT6577 chipset and 512 mb ram.. similarly the same shud work A88 A115 A89 (same config)
i rooted my phone canvas lite
but i don't how to het the rom for this there is no update or custom rom for this phone.........

Use SP Tools. It is the best.

When will you make an update for our Canvas devices.
Its already more than a year passed since ypur last 4.2.1 update for our devices.
Micromax launched a new phone in Rs.6499/- only(Indian Price)
Which is working on 4.4.2 with 1.2ghz dual core processor and 512 MB Ram.

Micromax is well known for "not" giving software updates for the devices and also the after sales service sucks!
Its surprising to see you waiting for an official update from Micromax which they are never gonna give!
Instead, you can start exploring the development works and try it on your phone!
Hello friends i am new here not in android
Basically i want a friend with potting knowledge who can help me porting JB on my phone which is currently running on ICS
I have cwm installed. 5.5**v made by mtk tool automatic function + Rooted
Device name Idea whiz(name by which marketed in India by idea)/Tcl s600/Alcatel 992d
MTK 6577 same chipset as mmx a110 has all specs are same only camera resolution is different
U can find its spec on gsmarena

There is ICS source code for my devise
and some custom framework rom by Russians ppl and also lewa os with heating problem all based on ICS
I have Micromax Canvas Gold which is based on MT6592. It came with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box. Most roms available for MT6592 are based on Android 4.2. Is there any way i can port it to my device.?

Micromax canvas a1 has mtk6582 and canvas Nitro has has mtk6592. So is it possible to port? ??

I'm no expert but I don't think so. Because mtk6582 is a quad core and mtk6592 is an octa core., so i guess it has different drivers altogether.
