Bad flashing - MISMATCH :-/ - Samsung Gear Fit

I wanted to update firmware as many others, but I got error message in ODIN and now I don't know what to do. I was trying to flash UPADTE package in CSC and PDA and everytime I got this error. After that I tried to flash firmware with AP,BL and CSC, but result was same. Also Kies can't recover my firmware. :crying:

Finally I managed to restore the firmware. I turned off the Gear for a few minutes, downloaded a firmware again and tried re-flash firmware. Successfully.

Same as any phone on the market. :good:

I need to change firmware too
what have you used at the end? odin or whatelse? which version?
thanks

and can I update it with kies in the future after the flashing ? is this firmware linked to any country or is it international...?
let me explain: My issue is that I just bought gear fit in Japan, but has no sleep app inside. so I would like to turn it in Iralian (i am italian) or even in any othercountry firmware but to have the full app set.

On first start you have to connect your Gear Fit with Samsung device, because Gear Fit will probably need to download new update. After that you can connect with others devices.
After this problem which is in OP I flash ND8 firmware (link which I sent you) and everything is working. Also Gear Fit has everthing set according to my S4 (language and CSC).

already paired and linked with my note 3: it has latest update... but kie says to me I have the following Firmware: PDA ND8 / CSC ND8 (XJP) ... and I was told that italian one is PDA ND8 / CSC ND8 (ITV) so I can imagine that xjp is for japan and lacks sleep stuff... what if you go to kies...what is in () in your version ?? but the most important: DO YOU HAVE THE SLEEP app other than eart rate, pedometer and exercise???

I will definitely try flashing my gear fit with your firmware. I just need all the features. No more.
Dou you think than after that you can update the gear fot using Kies again or no?
Thanks by the way. I will let you know when I come back to Italy.

I have old ND8 firmware. But AFAIK in NDC is nothing new. Maybe some bugs were fixed. New is maybe pop-up window in mobile as is shown here.

Hello
I made a bad flash with Odin, and now my gear fit show a yellow triangle.
Odin still recognize it, but flash won't work.
It stops at param2.bin when flashing ND8.
Any idea on how to get out of this ?
thanks

Turn off your Gear for 15-20 minutes. After that download ND8 firmware and put these files into ODIN 3.09.5. And try to flash again. I had the same problem and I tried to flash FW in to Gear many times but nothing. So I just turned off my device and tried it later. And it worked.

[Q] Where can I download O2 Branded Firmware ?

Hi,
I have recently flashed my Samsung Galaxy S2 with KE7 update which debranded my phone. Then I searched an O2 branded firmware from this website but after flashing my phone with this firmware, I am having two problems. Firstly, when I insert my sim it not only asks O2 Pay monthly customers but also asks for Tesco customer option which is quite strange. Secondly, I am not able to do any updates from KIES as it gives error message of THIS VERSION OF THE PHONE CANNOT BE UPDATED.
Can some one please help me to find out original O2 branded firmware? or how to solve this problem please?

Why is it strange you have unbranded firmware not belonging to O2 with a CSC that gives as required the O2 networks of which Tesco is a VN .
But as the man said stock O2 is available if you want to go that route .

Dude you seriously need to learn to use the quote function. It's kind of hard to figure out were the poster you are replying to post ends and your response begins.
@OP: You will have option for O2 PREPAY, O2 POST PAY and TESCO. This is normal since Tesco mobile piggy back on the O2 network, Just select O2 PostPay if you're on a contract.

Thanks for the quick response ... I was confused because previously I only had two options: O2 Pay Monthly customer, O2 Pay As you Go. I got worried because of this Tesco options as I was afraid that it may void my warranty.
Secondly, I am not able to update this version from KIES. Is it because of the current firmware version or is it because there is no update available? My phone's firmware details are as follows:
PDA: I9100XXKE7
CSC: I9100O2UKG2
Thanks again for your help.

There may just not be any firmware update out, 3UK was still on KE2 till not very long ago (not that i was on stock for more than 10min).
If you want to you can just flash a stock rom via odin, you dont need to change your CSC to a new one. (its just APN settings, and any silly bundles apps)

I have just downloaded KE2 firmware and thinking to flash KE7 version to KE2 (not sure if its a good idea) but there is a problem. The file I have downloaded from the above given link is a .exe file and I am not sure if this is the right file to use to flash my mobile?
Further, I don't know how to change CSC. Is it something we do manually or is it done automatically when we flash the firmware?
Thanks

No, bad idea, thats going backwards.
KE(X) > KF(X) > KG(X)
The exe is a self extracting archive if you had read the thread, you click it and it will extract to where you want it to.
Do some more reading about version numbers.
When flashing via odin CSC is just a part of the rom you might put into odin, as it says in the thread.

Yes you are right it is going backwards but my only motive behind this is to bring my mobile into a very simple way of updating via KIES. May be after coming to KE2 version, KIES might update it to any latest update for O2. Please advise.
Hi again,
Just wanted to share an update of my problem. I just flashed my mobile with a backward firmware of KE2 from KE7 and thought it will help to update my firmware with Kies but there is the same message displaying again, 'This version of the device cannot be updated'. :s I need help to resolve this problem as I want to send my mobile for warranty claim coz it restarts sometimes while using it and also its overheated when I use it while charging. I am worried that having a different firmware than the original one may create problem for warranty claim. ANY SOLUTION PLEASE??

Flash the O2 firmware and do a hard reset, after resetting flash the same firmware again.

Hi again,
I have some good news. I flashed my mobile with KE2 and had the same problem with KIES as it gave me same message, 'this device version cannot be updated' but when I tried update firmware from mobile setting options it detected a newer available version and so it installed KE7 version and after restart it gave me a message of additional firmware which I confirmed and now I have XWKF3 installed in my mobile. Which is a big relief now.
P.S Kies still shows the same message, 'This mobile version cannot be updated'.

Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I am bit not sure as my phone updated its firmware by using firmware update method in its settings. Now it shows its firmware as XWKF3 . Should I follow this method now which you suggested in above mentioned post to resolve this KIES update issue? and which firmware should I use to flash it ?

Software upgrade through ODIN guide required

Hi guys,
Need your help.
I have an SGS2 in pakistan. Phone came from UK from orange and was unlocked here. When i try to update through kies, it freezes at "downloading upgrade components" and stays there. Waited for 2 hours without any change so decided to update through odin. My questions:
My phone detail is:
PDA-KH2/Phone-KH1/CSC:KH2(ORA)
I have downloaded the updated software KJ4(ORA) for orange from sammobile website. My questions:
1. Will be there any issue due to my location and network which is not now orange?
2. Which ODIN i should use, there is one with version 1.85 on XDA and one at sammobile with version 1.83 on sammobile?
3. Guide at sammobile for flashing says to check re partition whereas on XDA it is told not to check re partition.Who to follow.
Looking forward to your guide.
Without going into detail if your fone is a i9100P which is NFC you can flash any of the i9100 firmware but not for the M or G models ok.
You can look for a firmware for your said location and flash using 1.83 or 1.85 odin. Also you have things like modem and apn settings but others you be ok..

Your choice but i would not download firmware from one site and ask another site for instructions .Sammobile have a forum .
But neither would i check repartition or use PIT as thats an easy route to a brick .

Go too this website http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3 and download the firmware for your correct phone model and country and then flash it with Odin.

You could try a 3 part flash if its available on sammobile.com
jje
I have the I9300 from mainland china as well. The one that boots up with the China unicom logo. I've managed to get everything working by flashing a stock china unicom rom, and then using mobile odin to flash a UK rom. Mobile Odin doesn't replace the bootloader, so even though I can now run stock UK firmwares and even custom roms such as CyanogenMod 9, the phone always boots up with the china unicom logo. Is this an indicator of a locked bootloader? If not, what else is preventing the flash from completing? the Partition Information Table? The CSC? If it's anything else other than the bootloader, then in theory shouldn't it be possible to flash a three part firmware? Repartition, and update the bootloader? I would think that this would result in a successful flash. I myself have not tried this as there is always the inherent risk of hard bricking the phone when playing around with the bootloader and PIT. If there are any more experienced xda members here, it'd be great to know what you think would work in this case.
Another Problem with Chinese Firmware
I appreciate the links. I'm downloading one of the firmware files now. Hope it works.
There's another reason why I don't like the Chinese firmware. The authorities have clumsily sabotaged VPN. If you try to turn on VPN service, the phone instantly crashes, allowing only emergency calls until you do a factory reset. Happened twice before I caught on.

I think that zip is for CWM Recovery, so you'll have to get a stock Chinese ROM running first, and then install CWM, turn off signature check and then flash CWM through odin, then you can load the other roms into the SDcard using your computer and flash it through the recovery.
I have not this phone but found some info may be helpful.Goodluck.

That phone is NOT A GENUINE Galaxy S III. It is a chinese knock off, a fake.
This is what gave it away:
- MTK MT6577 1.2GHz processor
No genuine S III device use this processor.
therefore, you do NOT have a real S III device and none of the S III roms will work with your phone.
Besides, since your phone has Android 4.1.5 (sic, according to the page you posted), why the hell do you want an older Android?
If you're in doubt about your phone, use this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alxdroiddev.gs3identity
It will tell you if your phone is real or not.
Still Need rom?

[Q] Using Kies Firmware in ODIN?

Hello,
My phone(Samsung Galaxy GT-B5510 (Galaxy Y Pro/Galaxy TXT)) was totally bricked, I couldn't turn wifi on, nothing worked.
After I searched some forums I found how to un-brick it by loading the original firmware.
I live in Belgium, and I couldn't find a firmware with the Belgian CSC("PRO"), so I used a Netherlandish-one.
Everything went fine and I can use my phone again, everything works, except that the AZERTY-keyboard functions as a QWERTY-one(the default for Netherlands).
This isn't that big of a problem, I thought oh well..
Anyways, my phone works fine without a SIM-card. Whenever I try to boot my phone with a SIM inserted, it gets stuck in a bootloop, showing the Samsung-image for about 15 seconds and then rebooting and so on.
So after I thought a bit, I figured out the problem must be that I'm not using a Belgian CSC (my SIM is from Belgium too).
I tried restoring my phone with Samsung Kies, but whenever I click Start upgrade, I get a Chinese error.
However, I have found the location where Kies downloaded the firmware, and the firmware is with a PRO-csc(the one I need), it's located in
C:\Users\{me}\AppData\Temp\Binary\GT-B5510.
So I tried flashing this Kies-firmware with ODIN, but the problem is that the Kies-firmware has no extension(no .tar.md5 or whatever), so I can't import it with ODIN.
What do I do?

Another type of firmware (like G925F) to S6 Edge AT&T (G925A)

Hi!
I have a AT&T SM-G925A phone, it has a G925AUCU3CPD6 firmware.
I need another language, and i want to flash an another type of firmware G925F (region: XEH)
I think it is possible because it is same hardware, but when i put the AP to the odin it run to fail!
It is possible to put another firmware?
Or how can i put Hungarian language to my phone?
Please help me!

Did you already try to reset your network settings? You can do that from your settings menu. Then restore & reset and then hit reset network settings. Also did you try a simple reboot?

I'm sorry, maybe I was not clear.
The phone can not set the Hungarian language, because the firmware is not included.
That is why I want another firmware (or one of its components, such as AP or CSC) exchanged to be Hungarian.

What is the fail message in odin?
I dont think you can flash any other firmware to your G925A. Even sam mobile has no firmware for that model what so ever.
G925A is the at&t model and they only release firmware OTA which is why it is very hard to find any firmware.
Also these models have locked bootloaders which is very very hard to unlock. Which is why you get fail in odin.
