L7II KITKAT OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED (2nd half of 2014) - LG Optimus L3 II, L5 II, L7 II, L9 II

http://www.tudoemtecnologia.com/lg-optimus-l7-ii-sera-atualizado-para-android-4-4-kitkat/
On a Brazilian tech site I found the news with an official link to the lg homepage http://www.lge.com/br/celulares/lg-P714
where the upcoming 4.4 update was stated. (Unlike Samsung devices of which none are getting 4.4 updates)
Rumors according to : http://droidnews.org/lg-optimus-g-y-lg-l7-ii-recibiran-kitkat-4-4-2-el-14-de-julo/
state that the l5ii is getting 4.4 on September 14th in Brazil.
These are all facts with 99.9% certainty.

And what about the 710?

P714 is almost the same as the P710 but is not illuminated front keys

Funny that the only places where this is reported are Brazilian sites. I'd expect this to be reported in a more global LG site (no offense to Brazil).

True. Quite a coincidence. I think it's cos lg probably focuses on Europe & us for its top end devices. Then brasil and some others for its mid rangers like l7ii (according to an earnings demographic perhaps)
And the p710/713/714/715/716 will all get the update.

It's not simply earnings demographic. It's about a device that cost near of Galaxy S5 in Brazil.

Looks like its for the L5-II too! Yippie, hopefully it fixes the wifi issues on that phone

Look at the OP's post. It has links to Brazilian sites, but Google translate does a good job of translating them.

I just saw it on a mobile website. I hope the Dual sim version also gets an KitKat update.

I believe it will (if and when). Differences between the L7 II models are quite minor.

Thanks for the update. Good news is that the KK update for the L7 II devices is now official. Bad news is that it's only scheduled for the end of this year.

Forum Description of LGOG

Does anyone know the reason that the specs listed in this forum for the LG Optimus G indicate that the OS is Android 4.1.1, instead of 4.0.4?
Are you referring to the AT&T version or the international version? I'm on my mobile so I can't see the description.

Both AT&T and Sprint forums have the OS version as 4.1.1
Wishful thinking.
In all honesty, I don't know. I've noticed it almost since day one.
My guess is whoever set up the description read it was supposed to get the update to 4.1.1 and interpreted it wrong and or/didn't want to have to change it later.

Yes, sorry.
My mistake.
I'm sure that wasn't a shot at the vs985 people
But, however, cloudy Rom is on this.
Sent from my LG G3.
What is the chance of it being ported to the vs985? I doubt we will get and update to L any time soon from Verizon.

do you have other veions for L / K?
Good to know thata there is a firmware for the korea-variant, but what about the international edition (D802)?
There were no leaks for any other versions than Korean, so I don't think that anybody but LG could have it.

You're mistaken, it's Jelly Beans 4.2.2 V11 ROMs, not even Kitkats. No point in those links. Some stupid spammer made them to earn some $
Sorry to ruin the hopes but there was actually posted a korean version of Lollipop on G3 forum too before they got international version. They did not do much with the korean version though.
Could be fun with a port, but who knows maybe it doesn't even have English - not to mention possible bugs. We'll get it officially from LG anyway.

my korean isn't fluent but what i got out of a review on the forums of a site called develoid (sorry this is my first post so i can't share links) was that it's still pretty buggy. korean users have flashed it to see it but also flashed back to kit kat or custom roms because of its lacking performance.
Guys it would be nice to port it also as a preview but it will be buggy and high risky. Most devs will only start if 5.x kernel sourcecode will be released but android L will be also released already for the d802. Android L will be released anyway in Q1 probably so its worth waiting cause lollipop is still having a lot of bugs which is in my opinion not good for daily usage .
So short and powerfull just wait people for the official LG lollipop release.
I dont want to be a partypooper or what but please also to other users who are making new threads for LG lollipop. I think that a mod must clean general a bit again because of all those duplocate threads and questions which dont even belong in this section
Seems like Vandietout released some kdz's too

hi,
I have a quick question - has LG built the Camera2 API inside the ROM ? The way to test it is to use L Camera from https://github.com/PkmX/lcamera/releases .
This will be huge for the G2, since this will effectively give us the same quality of camera on AOSP/CM. Can you please try it and let me know.
Any news about D802 version?
