[Q] lte is gone now - AOKP Q&A

Lte was working fine, switching between 3and 4g as I drove throughout the day. Now no longer connects to lte and will not fallback to 3g. I have to turn lte off and 3g will work. I'm a root noob. I have cdma+lte/evdo auto as selected mode.
Device : sph-l900 note 2
Rom: aokp jb mr2 milestone 1
Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

[Q] INSTALLED CM7 RC0.4 Lost 1x 3g but have 4g

Anyone help me out on this. Ive been running cm7 smooth as butter for the past 3 weeks. Everythings great. Slayer Released .04 on twitter yesterday. I installed and lost all data no matter what I did. Went back to my original backup from the day i got the phone which is also the day I rooted. Still same thing. Only 4g. Now I am no dummy I tried everything. I went into ##778, modem settings set the rev a to enable. I commited the changes and and rebooted. Im at my parents who have 4g but where I live its 3g so i need it to work. Anyway. After doing that I could toggle between cdma and lte/cdma auto and could get 3g and 1x and 4g. So as most instructions tell you as does verizon wirelss once I got all 3 working I went back to ##778 and switched back to ehrd or whatever it is and commited and rebooted. Same thing I can only get 4g again. Verizon said there are no problems with there networks where i am currently located. I've been working with android for over a year and am not a dev but am in training. No matter what I do I cant get it to stick when I go ehrpd. I did get it to stick once and tried to go back to cm7 and couldnt get any data this time. RC.03 beings rc.04 did this. now I can only get data on sense roms and I have to keep rev a to enable and if I leave a 3g zone to 4g I have to manually change over and vice versa. any help would be appreciated
I think there are only two settings that you should use. CDMA auto (PRL) for 3G and CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto for 3G/4G. The CDMA + LTE/EvDo will switch as needed.
No it doesn't switch. The LTE cdma auto won't switch

You must set to CDMA / EvDo auto then wait few seconds once you get on the 3g network then set to CDMA + LTE/EvDo Auto. It does work for me switch to 4g and it took awhile to get on the 4g network.

4G problems for anyone?

I'm in North Chicago now, and my 4G is slower than 3G when I'm outside and in my room. I had 4G off for nearly 15 hrs and left 3G on the whole time. Get back and 4G is still having a heart attack.

My 4G is working fine, seems a lot faster than my 3G.

4G went out for me earlier this morning but came around lunch time. I'm in Charlotte, NC

LTE Data problems on CM10 (Stable) - Fixed

Hi all. I was having a problem that I just couldn't find any fix to after scouring the internet. It seems to be fixed (so far), so I thought I'd share briefly so someone else can find it.
I was on the Stable release of CM10 Jewel (HBOOT 1.19, S-ON) on the Evo 4g LTE. I live in an area with early LTE rollout, and I was getting LTE on my stock Rom. If I selected Network Mode: LTE/ CDMA/ EvDo, I would get a cell signal and reception but no data of any kind. If I switched the network mode to CDMA/ EvDo Auto, I would get reliable 3g (or 2.5g). As far as I can tell, this is a common issue that has something to do with the LTE handoff.
I was reluctant to start using the nighties, since the stable release is so recent. However, updating to the most recent nightly (at this point 12-10-2012), through the simple CM10 updater in the "about phone" menu, seems to have fixed the problem. Just FYI.

I don't have LTE but everything works great for me on my CM10 build. I think its 12-4 that was posted on this forum.
I even turned S-OFF using DirtyRacun before hand, works like a charm (did it on my 64bit Win7 machine)
My problem now is when LTE connects, I get 4G icon and no data. When I get out of LTE coverage, data works again. So in LTE areas, I have to disable it. Kind of counter productive. I am downloading 12/10 nightly build and will test LTE later today.

Yep, thats why I am on ViperRom until LTE is handing off to 3G for everyone. It works for some, but not for others. I need to consistently have my LTE.
Problem is, it was screwing up on a Sense ROM as well. I flashed latest CM10 nightly, and managed to squeeze 12kbps transfer on LTE in Miami airport and that was it. But hey, at least for once I saw a 4G icon!

[Q] LTE Toggle?

So I updated to 4.3 and I get really sucky signal where I live and I like using 3g. I've tried using all the different apps to toggle the 4g into 3g but no help. Usually Phone info would do the trick, but even that's not cutting it.
I had to pay for 4G Switch but it's wonky. Sometimes takes 5 minutes to switch to 3G
4G Switch
Thanks! That did the trick.

New Phone won't connect to 4g after root.

I had a HTC DNA for about 2 years and was rooted and had tethering.
When I would put the phone on global mode it would drop the 4g/lte and I could only get 3g after tethering wifi. If i did not use tethering for a while I could go back to global mode and it would keep 4g. But the next time I would use tethering it would kick me back to 3g the next day and I would have to go back to the CDMA LTE mode.
I just bought a Galaxy s4 and used it for about a week before rooting it. After Rooting it I can no longer get it to connect to 4g. I have gone into the data settings and told it to only connect to CDMA LTE.
What can I do to correct this issue?
Has Anyone else had this issue?
Can verizon see that I am rooted and using wifi tethering?
Can I force my phone to only connect to 4g and ignore 3g signals?
I am running I545VRUFNK1
kernel version 3.4.0

Try editing apn settings to lte. Perhaps you can no-wipe odin if you are just rooted, so you can keep your data.
I had an issue that my phone wouldn't connect to 3G even if the icon showed that it was available. I tried everything. The only thing I could do was airplane mode and then back. If 4G was available it would kick in. If not, no data for me. I did a no wipe odin and that did my phone in. It would boot but then got into a loop which made the phone useless. I was forced to a full reset.
But that fixed my problem. I rooted and was fine. Running NC5
