[Q] Rooting a Yusun T22 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to root a Yusun T22 that I bought on dx.com. I am trying with a program called VRoot. It says it has root permissions but the menus look the same and I still cannot remove unwanted applications. What should look different after being rooted and how would I remove unwanted programs.

Rootly Removed A Single Pre-Installed Program, How To Bring It Back?

Hi guys,
I uninstalled the pre-installed Task Killer through a root uninstaller from the Market. Can it be reinstalled back? (As root program as well again). If yes, how?
If you have rooted your phone then just install the TasKiller app from the market and give it Root Privileges if it asks for it!

[Q] Removing Samsung apps

Hi folks,
I'm a complete Android noob having recently switched to a Galaxy S2. I was hoping someone could tell me if it's possible and/or how to remove core apps such as the Samsung hub apps?
My phone is running the Lite'ning Rom, is it a simple case of installing a certain app or does it involve messing around with the Rom itself?
Cheers

You need to have root access, search the threads you will find tutorials on here for it, easy enoough done . Once your phone is rooted you can then download root uninstaller from the market "free" or titanium backup, and can select and uninstall which apps you dont need.
Thanks guys, that's a great help

The only way that I know of that you can remove "bloatware" is being rooted, and using an app like Titanium Backup or using adb in Android SDK to remove it. If Uninstall is grayed out in Menu - Settings - Manage Applications area for FB, then root is required.
the only way is rooting your device and install root uninstaller on it and injoy

Cant uninstall main root app, stops on startup

Hi, I have a samsung galaxy duos, android 4.0.4. pretty old, i know.
anyway a few months ago i found a way to finally root my phone(i couldnt find a good root app that worked) i used kingo root which automatically roots my phone using my pc, after a few months of having my phone rooted, the main root app stopped working and would crash every time an app would request root permission or when i tried to open the app itself.
now the deal is, i cant use my root, i cant uninstall the root, i cant replace the root app, any solution to this?
Well in such case you have to manually remove it by flashing a custom recovery and deleting all the files created by kingroot such as base apk. And the su library planted by it.
All the best:good:

If your device has root access, you can remove King root with other applications or from the King root settings. Uninstall the application with link2sd. If you can not delete the application, you will have to install the stock rom.

Thanks , but after three dots -> i have option to uninstall OR convert to user app.
Under both i get the same error:
"Link2SD could not obtain root access.
Maybe as i formatted my phone, i am no longer rooted and hence the error.
Also, i tried disabling Kingroot from phones builtin "Applications manager" and yes it seems disappeared from my App list on phone, Is it safe to say its no longer working on my phone even in background ?

The application that you deactivated will not run again, but if it really was malware, it probably installed other malware applications. I recommend you to do a complete analysis with several antivirus programs starting with Dr. Web.
