I was update my sources, patch will not work on my sources
but anyway you can build your b2g without patch or you need to patch manually
mozilla was create new branch for hdpi devices called "v1.1.0hd"
I will build with v1.1.0hd branch but now I am busy maybe next week
I am trying to port B2G to smultron and i have a question :
In kernel the only modification is to add init.b2g.rc file and edit init.rc right?
init.b2g.rc :
Code:
service fakeperm /system/bin/fakeperm
class main
user root
service b2g /system/bin/b2g.sh
class main
onrestart restart media
service rilproxy /system/bin/rilproxy
class main
socket rilproxy stream 660 root system
user root
group radio
on boot
exec /system/bin/rm -r /data/local/tmp
# set RLIMIT_NOFILE to increase soft limit from 1024(default) to 2048.
# Hard limit keeps default value(4096).
setrlimit 7 2048 4096
edit init.rc with this :
Code:
service fakeperm /system/bin/fakeperm
class main
user root
service rilproxy /system/bin/rilproxy
class main
socket rilproxy stream 660 root system
user root
group radio
service servicemanager-g /system/bin/servicemanager
class core
user system
group system
critical
service b2g /system/bin/b2g.sh
class main
onrestart restart media
or i need to edit more?

Today I checked the repository of gaia, and I found that the problem on webapp-zip.js has already been fixed 5 days ago.
So, if you downloaded the latest source codes, you do not have to apply the above patch any more.
I omitted the above commands from my blog.
Moreover, as for the manifest file, the download errors often take place depending on the network state.
When I downloaded the latest codes today without modifying manifest file,
I executed "./config.sh anzu" several times to obtain successful download.
Nice OS, I like it

The first one is for firefox icons, and second one is for high resolution device.
export MOZILLA_OFFICIAL=1

I cannot post to developer section because I am a new one, so I post here.
Please do not use the picture in my blog in your thread.
As for the update, I think you should not apply OTA system update
because my patch to gaia and gecko will be erased.
As a result, battery always shows 100%, the LED of home button is always ON,
and the effect of "GAIA_DEV_PIXELS_PER_PX=2" will also be erased.

[Q] WiFi issue on Tizen 2.3 on RD-PQ (M0)

I've found my RD-PQ on the shelf and decided to upgrade it to 2.3
That was a pretty easy procedure, although with 2.3 it's totally empty.
The most discouraging thing is that WiFi fails to connect.
There are several mentions of that problem at https://developer.tizen.org/ru/forums/general-support/tizen-2.3-rd-pq-device-available but no solutions or at least clues there.
Are there any options to debug it?
The only thing I could imagine was to connect to device console in sdb and check wpa_supplicant that was working somehow.
With 2.2.1 WiFi works fine.
What else can be done around it?
Ya need driver isntalled I think. Drivers is non free licensed and ya need to ask for it somewhere in dear Samsung company.
Tolko schas uvidel... Napishi na maemo.su, sprosi u Kirilla, k primeru, bolshe tolku budet. Zdes ne populyaren Tizen.
I have my RD-PQ only since 1 month... so I am newbie...
Since yesterday I saw first time 2.3.1 and WiFi complete not work... not able to find any thing... Scan not finish...
Installed files...
Code:
tizen-2.3.1-mobile_20150921.1_mobile_boot.tar.gz
[B]tizen-2.3.1-mobile_20150921.1_mobile_target.tar.gz[/B]
Then I have only flashed filesystem:
Code:
[B]tizen-2.3-mobile_20150812.1_mobile_target.tar.gz[/B]
So I mixed 2.3.1 Kernel with Filesystem from 2.3... and my WiFi now detect devices + I am able to connect to hidden network.
I need something to install to check if connection is not fake... but for now this is more as 2.3.1
I will later compare...
If usr/apps is bigger difference... between 2.3 and 2.3.1...
Later more...
Best Regards

Pulled from working 2.3 filesystem...
Now I have flashed back to 2.3.1...

But I can't try self as stupid me killed my RD-PQ...
But maybe someone else find this info usefull...
nice user said:
...I know how to fix the wifi connection on Tizen 2.3 and 2.3.1 for a RD-PQ device. The problem is that some links in the os are not properly created.
Basically you need to install the usleep package (https://download.tizen.org/releases...rmv7l/packages/armv7l/usleep-1-5.2.armv7l.rpm), it's for Tizen 2.2.1, but it does work for 2.3 and 2.3.1. After that, create two links that the wlan.sh shell script is expecting, and are not in the proper location.
ln -s /usr/sbin/modprobe /sbin/modprobe
ln -s /usr/sbin/rmmod /sbin/rmmod
Or, alternatively, you can pull the /usr/bin/wlan.sh file via sdb pull, change the /sbin/modprobe and /sbin/rmmod lines to /usr/sbin/modprobe and /usr/sbin/rmmod.
After doing that, from the phone, open Wifi and clicking on the green button will activate the wifi correctly and you will be able to connect to any wifi hotspot.
You can skip using the ui and perform the following commands :
/usr/bin/wlan.sh start
this will activate the wlan0 interface, which you can check by issuing a ifconfig command.
/usr/sbin/wpa_supp.sh start
this will start wpa supplicant.
Check if connmand is running (ps -ax and check the list), if not, you need to do :
systemctl start connman
systemctl enable connman

Enable or disable apps directly from the filesystem

Hey guys,
last week I disabled some Apps on my rooted OnePlus 5. Today in the morning, I needed to reboot the phone and then it happened. The phone hangs in a boot-loop. While booting, the red cycling OnePlus logo appears. After that I see very short the keys to type my code for the SIM card. Then, again the red cycling OnePlus logo.
Ok, ****... whats happens?
I think I disabled some wrong app. But which? I booted into the TWRP Recovery, start adb shell and have a look.
My thought was to enable all Apps with "pm" (PackageManager), but it isn't working in the TWRP Recovery Terminal:
Code:
CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE "app_process": cannot locate symbol "_ZN7android14IPCThreadState11setBlockUidEib" referenced by "/system/lib64/libandroid_runtime.so"...
Aborted
I searched for some options to enable or disable an app. But I found only this from user arana1: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46287590&postcount=15
I also found a Java exception in /data/system/dropbox. There are many boot failure files:
Code:
/data/system/dropbox # ls -al
..
..

There you can see that android? can't find a "fused location provider". I'm to 90% sure that I disabled this app.
I found this, but I don't know how to use this or where it writes something:
https://developer.android.com/refer...ionEnabledSetting(java.lang.String, int, int)
Do you guys know how to enable a app in the /data partition without the package manager "pm"? Maybe editing some files?
I found the solution.
I disabled some app at my old android device with "pm disable <app>" and searched for modified files in the last one minute:
Code:
# find /system -mmin -1
I found this file:
Code:
/data/system/users/0/package-restrictions.xml
Search for the app "com.android.location.fused" in the file and found this line:
Code:
<pkg name="com.android.location.fused" ceDataInode="2101300" enabled="3" enabledCaller="shell:0" />
Deleted the enabled and enabledCaller attribute:
Code:
<pkg name="com.android.location.fused" ceDataInode="2101300" />
Saved the file and successfully rebooted the phone! Yeah!
Thanks to user Marc.2377 at Stackoverflow for the hint to delete this both attributes.
That definitely what i call an autonoumous man
thanks, it also worked for j1m galaxy
Thanks so much!
I've been trying for hours to activate adb during boot before /data decryption and a bunch of other stuff.
You're a hero!
You definitely saved my life!

Your solution worked like a charm! For my part, the package-restrictions.xml was a little bit different, I had to replace that piece of code:
Code:
<pkg name="com.android.location.fused" ceDataInode="1223">
<disabled-components>
<item name="com.android.location.fused.FusedLocationService" />
</disabled-components>
</pkg>
with this one:
Code:
<pkg name="com.android.location.fused" ceDataInode="1223">
<enabled-components>
<item name="com.android.location.fused.FusedLocationService" />
</enabled-components>
</pkg>
(replaced "disabled-component" node with "enabled-component").
Then that's it. Back to business with all my data kept!
Thanks again!
saved my ass! Xiaomi Redmi Note 7
I disabled the miaccount or micloud services and couldn't log into the phone because of it's inbuild security system.
I had the RPC error trying to reactivate the phone.
This solution worked out like a charm for me. Same steps. Thank you!

Code:
<pkg name="com.android.location.fused" ceDataInode="2101300" enabled="3" enabledCaller="shell:0" />
Deleted the enabled and enabledCaller attribute:
Code:
<pkg name="com.android.location.fused" ceDataInode="2101300" />
Saved the file and successfully rebooted the phone! Yeah!
Thanks to user Marc.2377 at Stackoverflow for the hint to delete this both attributes.

Man you saved my ass.
I disabled MI Account (com.xiaomi.account) and got locked out of the device asking to unlock by entering xiaomi account password, but I could not enable by entering the password cause I had the ****ing application disabled.
Respect for you, bruh...
This needs to go in a "so you pwn3d yourself n00b" FAQ somewhere. (Even though I've been doing this for years... )
You saved me an EDL mode flash, thank you sir.

You're a fckn lifesaver. Thanks so much. I really hope someone turns this into a update.zip that can be flashed or a windows script that works on recovery adb
