Games aren't in games folder. - Themer General Discussion

This is really annoying, when I put the new games in the games folder (which should already be there) when I restart my phone, they disappear and I have to put them back in again!

Hi,
Are you running the latest version of Themer? Also, did you download it from the Play Store?

Yes, Its updated, and I downloaded it from the playstore.
If you tell me to redownload, will I lose all of the data I had and themes i've already downloaded?

You need to remove the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/Exported folder (place it somewhere else). Once that's done do this:
1. Uninstall Themer.
2. Delete the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/ folder.
3. Reinstall Themer, place the Exported theme back where was.

Is it worth using? I have tried every launcher and theme apk that I can find and none of them seem to work 100%.

It depends what you're looking for. Themer is still in beta, so be advised that there will still be the occasional bug. If you're someone that often changes the look of their homescreen but wants to apply everything in just one click, then Themer is for you.

All my themes wont load after copying mycolorscreen back after reinstalling. Thanks.. I had like 30+ downloaded -_-

Did you paste the zip files into /sdcard/MyColorScreen/Themer/Exported/zip?

Yes. Okay I reinstalled everything, and still they do not save onto my games folder when I restart my phone! Some of them don't even appear in there even if I ticked them in the manager of the game folder. Is this just a bug on beta?

This is a bug that the developers are aware of now, hopefully it should be fixed soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Swype Beta is open again

For those who been waiting to get into the beta, it's reopen to all. If you have the factory One still installed, you will have delete the swype apk, and the swype lib file. Reboot and install the swype installer and so on.
http://forum.swype.com/showthread.php?1976-Swype-Beta-OPEN-again!-Happy-Holidays-from-SwypeInc
Just note this:
If your phone came pre-installed with Swype
DO NOT download this beta (it won't work)

**Edit** Like others stated, you will have to uninstall the swype that came pre-installed before using the Beta. (I was already a beta user....)

all u have to do is uninstall the default one. I'm not having any problems.
Just curious, but since we MyTouch owners already have swype, what would be the point of joining the beta?

True, just use root explorer to move it over then reboot. Benefits would be to have the most up-to-date version and one with a voice button.

Some of us running CM6 lost swype, so this is the perfect alternative to getting swype back other than the ADB method.

I can uninstall the Swype that came with it and install the new beta, but the service force closes on me when it attempts to verify the license. Any suggestions?

U have to be rooted. Follow the first post. Delete the swype apk and the lib file, reboot, then install the beta
I think that may be the issue I was having replacing swype, I didn't delete the lib file. I may give it another shot tonight.

Yeah bro, the **** was driving me crazy since I got this phone. I delete the apk but mine wouldn't install. I was missing my swype with it mic
I have done everything the instructions say and during the licensing the Swype process "com.swype.android.inputmethod" stops unexpectedly.
I am rooted...i deleted the swype apk, the lib file and rebooted. I then installed it and I continue to have this problem.

Does anybody know if registering for the beta will interfere with the preinstalled version from working/authenticating? Or does the preinstalled version not need to to authenticate?

I don't why u would want to go back to the preinstalled one, but all u need is the apk and the lib, there's a thread here if u didn't back it up. There's no authentication
Am I suppose to be using the swype installer for this? That may be causing the problems.

Of course. If u in the beta, that is what should have been sent to u
OK, then I'm stumped again. Even when I try installing from a apk, it says it's going to replace a current application. I don't get that because I thought I removed swype. How can it replace something that's not there?
Update: After reboots and file deletions...it was finally able to authenticate. I don't know the exact steps, but it working now. Thanks for everyone's help.

missing market apps on nook tablet

I rooted my nook tablet with the SnowballMod root and everything is working fine, but some of the apps in the android market are missing. I have tried editing the build.prop file and clearing the market data and cache to spoof the market, but it still wont work. does anybody have ANY ideas?
theres not some, more like a lot and thats normal cuz its happening to everyone. apps that dont appear on the market have to be downloaded as .apk files and then transferred to your nooks sd card i use drop box and es file explorer for this procedure
how would i do this? how close are the people to fixing this and being able to install custom roms? i need facebook.
sideloading if it is not working from market.

Copy the .apk to the device and select it in a file explorer program.

It's not technically broken. The market should not show you apps for which your device does not meet the requirements. That doesn't meet they don't work, but that you have to install them another way. After updating my phone to ICS, I had to sideload Tapatalk, since it is not "technically" compatible with ICS, even though it does work.

1) Use the web app (it's pretty good, and doesn't have any background processes)
2) Look for the thread in the App section titled "[download] Facebook, Twitter and Google+ apk"

Insufficient Storage Available AOKP

I got the Insufficient Storage Available error when I install new apps from Google Play, I can't even install apk, so I think this is not Google Play problem. I have plenty of space life. Running the latest AOKP. Anyone having this problem?
I'm guessing this didn't work?
Try this.
It also happens when you have the app still in the data/apps folder yet it's already uninstalled. Go to your data/apps folder with Root Explorer and check if the .apk is still there. If it is, delete it.

Thanks for your advice, I used mini tool partition from my computer, but when I checked in my phone's storage, still wasn't shown the ext4 partition that i did with minitool, so just tried with cwm partition (1GB Ext and 0MP swap) and it worked! But before I try this one I downloaded link2sd from play store! That's it! Now my internal memory is 0.94GB, wow...before it was only 120MP!

The app didn't work. It runs ok, but has no effect in solving this issue... at least on my case: Galaxy S2 running Cyanogen 9 final release. I also had this issue from time to time with the RC1 of CM9, but it always disappeared without me doing nothing (the problem only happened back then when updating apps from Google Play).

Meanwhile, just my 50 cents, I think this problem is related with the Lucky Patcher... Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe not..,

[Q] How can I restore to original Google Play Store?

Hello,
So I've downloaded the black themed play store, was so excited when I flashed it. But now I want the original play store back! I have a back up of the original play store but once I install it, the app wont be installed because its a different signature..Any Suggestions?
Try removing the Play Store apk you have installed (with titanium or something like that) then install your backup apk.
I deleted my original playstore. How to restore it.

Hi, a few days back, i deleted my backed up playstore. How could I restore the orignal playstore. I mean, the first version which would automatically update itself later on. Could anybody attach the oldest version here ?

[Q] [Need Help] putting facebook back as a system app

Ok so i don't know how to say this but.
-I had rooted my phone.

-So i deleted the file for facebook(because usually you aren't supposed to be able to delete facebook just un-install the updates.)
-And then time passed and i unrooted it, next day it got stuck in a bootloop and i fixed it. But now i can delete facebook.
-Does anyone know the file to put it so i can't delete it just un-install to stock lg l9 facebook. And where to put that file so it won't fully delete and so it'll just say uninstall updates?
I would really appreciate it if you can help!!
The attached image is what I mean, I need it to say uninstall updates.

Copy the facebook.apk from your data/app folder to your system/app folder. Reboot the device and it will be a sudden app again; however, i recommend leaving facebook as a user app... that way it is overwritten when it updates
