wait. I'm doing install now....

I'm just flashing the entire factory images. I never use my Nexus 10 anymore because the Wifi is a disaster... Worse that can happen is it actually works right now.. Which is highly doubtful.

Still a broken POS... Installed, Play store restored all my stuff. Browsed around for a bit.. Sat it down... Went to the PC for 15 minutes.. Came back to Nexus 10.. First website I tried to open.. Yep.. No data throughput on two bars of wifi.. Same god damn crap that has plagued this stupid lemon of a tablet for ages.. Two bars of wifi strength and this stupid thing doesn't know what to do. Meanwhile my Nexus 4 performs flawlessly with 1 bar of wifi and never has data throughput issues since the day I bought it at launch.. Nexus 10 is such a massive flop...

I did a stock install at command line. There is a bug which isn't relevant it tries to flash a recovery img which isn't included but I checked and its the most current version anyway.
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader ./bootloader-manta-mantamf01.img
error: cannot load './bootloader-manta-mantamf01.img': No such file or directory
fastboot -w update image-mantaray-ktu84l.zip
archive does not contain 'boot.sig'
archive does not contain 'recovery.sig'
archive does not contain 'system.sig'
--------------------------------------------
Bootloader Version...: MANTAMF01
Baseband Version.....: no modem
Serial Number........: R32D104HJYB
--------------------------------------------
I then flashed CWM recovery, copied over supersu.zip, applied and then installed and used a root app (Stickmount) and it worked.
So.... far.... nothing broke.....
i did this first to my Nexus 10 as it has the simplest needs if I bricked it. Will do Nexus 7 then Nexus 5.

Sell it. it's an issue with your router. I had the issue til I put on DD-WRT on my router and set a fixed channel, then it worked fine. Not saying don't blame N10, it should behave better, just if you all you are going to do is complain you're of nil value help.

I had the exact same issue with the horrible wifi. It has been working flawlessly ever since I got it until about a month ago. On a 70 mbps connection with the router 2 feet away, I couldn't even load the play store, let alone anything else. I tried all that "disable wifi optimization" stuff and other things and nothing worked. 2 weeks ago, I relocked my bootloader and reverted everything back to stock and it still didn't work. Just for fun, I unlocked the bootloader again, still running stock, and magically my wifi is back to ~60 mbps and everything works perfectly again. I have absolutely no idea how. Maybe you should try it because you already factory reset it, try locking and unlocking the bootloader and see what happens. Good luck

FYI if you just run the flash-all script it erases everything, I actually prefer that to begin with a clean slate, but I know you can run a subset of comamnds to limit what is erases. So the method I did by definition breaks root, but getting it back is easy, just install custom recovery and copy the root zip and install in recovery.
So far... i'm configuring all my apps, nothing seems broke but it will take a while to know if any of my functions are broken....

Works
Root works.
Unlock, Flashed the Factory image, then CWM.img and then flashed SuperSU zip and everything is good.
I had a CWM backup so I'm up and running in no time.
BTW I have never ever had problems with WIFI, I have a netgear router, but it also works with trendnet and Linksys.
btw Total RAM is 1124832KB
First quadrant 2.0 is 5501 with stock kernel

I update thru OTA with superuser survival turned on. Confirmed it went perfectly fine on update with root still kept.

Fisrt problem... can't install busybox in /system/xbin due to lack of space in system partition...

I have TWRP installed on my Nexus 10. Can I simply boot into recovery and install the zip that's in the tarball? Or won't that work?

No , it wont work. the file from google is in fact two .tar files inside each other. you need to decompress the first one , the second one has no extension ! add .tar extension to it and decompress it again. I used winrar to do it. you will get the batch file and rom zip file which requires fastboot to be installed. if you search on google you will find many guides on how to install factory images on nexus devices.
Edit : Well , I guess the google file is .tar.gz file and not two tar files inside eachother. but for an unknown reason when you download it the extension is .tar , I renamed it to .tar.gz and then decompressed it and it worked fine.

I installed busybox with "BusyBox on Rails" app with no issues. it is working fine here.

where is bootloader img?
I extracted factory image file.
but i can not find bootloader img file.
I checked 'flash-all.sh' .
There is written like this 'fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-manta-mantamf01.img'
There have to be 'bootloader-manta-mantamf01.img'.
without updating new bootloader img, does it work well?

They forgot to include it in the factory image. But don't worry, it works well.

No TWRP flashable update.zip for 4.4.3 yet? Can't seem to find any on the threads, though folks are talking of OTA (I only see the factory image .tar).

I just now installed it. Zero problems.
Of course i did what I always recommend of doign a full fresh flash and erase everything. It is always the safest best way. It took me about 30mins to install my apps and configure them.

Wait or do what I always do and just do a full fresh install, it cleans out any crap.
Funny, the last 4.4.2 we had the OTA zips out before the full image zips, the reverse timing schedule. We had to do a flash then OTA for about a week i think then.

They forgot it but its also not necessary, the 4.4.2 had that same file flashed already.

Well, I finally installed the busybox applets using softlinks instead of copies. It may cause problems with some apps but it's the only way.
It's not a problem of fresh space but the system partition of the nexus 10 is really small compared to other nexus like 4 or 5.

+Mikey Thank you! At the risk of sounding dense, is this a full RUU replacement for T-Mobile Sense 6, 5.14.531.1? I mean, it includes all the original files, recovery, boot, firmware, etc, and is not just an updater?

how does one go about making this into something you can restore from a backup?
Does this wipe data? Or is it similar to an OTA, difference being you're just restoring a backup? Also, will this break root?

I had TMOUS stuck on 4.19x (that wasn't eligible for OTA) rooted, stock ROM, TWRP, and I followed directions in this thread, i.e., unzip first, place in TWRP, restore as backup from recovery and it worked perfectly for me- no wiping, no root loss, and One was updated to 5.31 with Sense 6.
If you have different variables, I don;'t know if it would work the same way.
I wish I had read this earlier in the treads. For the past couple of days Ive been trying to update my phone to Sense 6 but I couldnt because its rooted and I cant get s-off because Im on hboot 1.57. I'm gonna try to try this now Thanks in advanced!

Massive thanks to you Mikey, I've been trying to get sense 6 via OTA and RUU for the past week but for some ungodly reason they haven't been working. Its been errors every step of the way. I tried to flash this at first with TWRP and that didn't work, but I then unzipped and restored and that did the trick. Again MASSIVE MASSIVE thanks
quick question does this backup update the radio as well, been trying to find the latest since my phone seems to lose data at random times. thanks
I am currently on ARHD 70.0 running 5.11 firmware. If I flash this through TWRP backup would I need to flash the 5.14 firmware as well? I recently moved to a place with total craps reception and desperate for T-Mobile WiFi Calling.

That's why I don't use any custom ROM with my T-Mo phones and always buy T-Mo branded phones - I live in a comeplete deadzone - and WiFi calling is usually one f the first things that go in custom ROMs. I used to wonder why other carriers didn't add theur own versions of WiFi calling since it still counts against the plan's minutes.

I couldn't read it either so I used Google Chrome and had Chrome translate it for me. Basically the recovery is an apk and there is a chinese rom. I have tried the recovery but I have NOT tried rom yet and not sure if I want too as everything will most likely be in chinese.
The recovery Failed to restore the backup it made. It gave the following error
E:format_volume failed to unmount "/system"
Error while formatting /system!

Not installing anything on my phone that is not at least blessed by the devs here.
It's a site where I can't read the language and the app does things that I have no clue about.
Risk it if you want, but if you end up with a dead device or spyware; don't say I didn't warn you.
it's Chinese rom . I have already flash the rom and worked well
I'm guessing this is probably the same thing as the Chinese recovery that was "discovered" a couple weeks after the phone was released, just being rediscovered. Even if it's something different, if it's an .APK it's more than likely a flash tool rather than a recovery, seeing how the bootloader hasn't been unlocked and all. Also pretty sure it was a Chinese user who posted the other "recovery" and said it worked well for all functions. I dunno about anyone else, but seeing how I'm on Verizon (in the USA) and speak English, I have no use for a "Chinese ROM." Hopefully this goes without saying, but as tech_head said if you try flashing this "ROM" don't expect to have a working G3 when you're done. :silly:

may be U r right. I just post it here to see if someone can fix the problem.and the'' rom '' also have English language.. whatever I am not the guy who make this..
Hurray
This Rom works 100%! I'm on it right now after switching the language from Chinese back to English it is like a daily driver. We should get a dev to see this! Plus I translated the forum through Google chrome and it is a development forum for the vs985. EDIT: No Data and Random reboots only known issues.
hmmm. ill be looking into this later
I've been using this Chinese CWM bootstrap APK for the longest.... well really only a month because that's how long I've had my G3... I've used this in combination with the kitkat deodexer tool to create a deodexed stock rom which works perfectly.... This CWM is also useful in flashing general mods like the pure audio mod for instance also perfectly flashes (adds a nice volume boost as well).. HOWEVER, people are right to be sketchy about it. For one thing, I don't think this installs any spyware on your phone like some have suggested, but it's by no means a full proof recovery either... yes system backups work, but don't dare try to restore it by any means or you'll get an error after it wipes your system to begin restore, and then you'll have to flash back to stock. Also don't do anything stupid like try and flash TMobile roms to your Verizon G3, because even though it will allow you to flash it and say it completed successfully, you will be overwriting your kernel with an insecure kernel and you will not be able to boot your device up at all.... also if you do something this stupid, you will also block yourself from being able to flash back to stock because your phone will think it's a D851 and not a VS985... Finally, I'd also avoid flashing this Chinese rom... yeah it worked and booted for me, but I had no 4g... I'm sure that if you back up your apn settings beforehand, you'll be fine, but still I'd just avoid it. So long story short, use this recovery, but don't expect miracles from it. Devs should really look into decompiling this bootstrap apk and fixing the mount points, and then we'd have a full functioning tethered CWM.

Install of your zip is working great except I'm missing the LG Keyboard.

[DOWNLOAD] Android Wear update MEC23G to MWD48B

Just got an update on my watch and, as always, pulled the update.zip for you guys!
If you're having troubles installing this ZIP please refer to this post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67403296&postcount=19
----------
Quick Install "Guide" if it's still failing for you:
1) Install TWRP from THIS THREAD HERE
2) Reboot into fastboot mode by turning the watch off and on again and while the black screen shows up constantly swipe from the left upper corner to the lower right corner.
3) Flash the TWRP provided above and reboot into recovery, then push the unpacked TWRP backup into "/sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/xxxxxxxxxxx/" (to get the last folder simply make a backup of only your boot partition first, it's the fastest)
4) Restore the backup provided IN THIS POST HERE onto your watch via the in 1 flashed TWRP
1) MUCH EASIER: Flash these instead the TWRP way, far far easier!
2) Let the OTA update install automatically

Code:
Unable to statfs '/system/.'.
I've flashed the stock recovery in LG G Watch tools. It went fine, so I've proceeded to install the update the standard way. It seemed to be fine, but than it stopped, with the "Dead Android" image. After using the reset button the built in recovery is dead, but the watch boots. Any ideas?
EDIT: TWRP won't mount /system for some reason, you tap the checkbox and nothing happens. Not even as RO.

yeah it can't write to it, you have to use the stock recovery for that. You are able to write to it but you must first format the partition as writable and then flash your system image/ backup. I'm getting the usual "old keys" error of TWRP not error you mentioned, just means The TWRP is too old base

No, its stored in a propietary .dat file so good luck with that. Hopefully someone wasn't as foolish as me and deleted their recovery backup

We could try flashing an older version of Android Wear (the one provided with the one Toolbox someone made here) and let it update to the latest version again.

Nope I found it thank god. I had kept a backup of the awful stock kernel just in case when I was initially testing invisiblek's kernel. Luckily its still there in all its awful glory and I will share it here as when you boot up with the stock kernel the system auto flashes the stock recovery because thats how stock is for everything

Btw. I tried going back to stock yesterday (without locking the bootloader tho) but I may have used a wrong or too old stock recovery version.
Also the only reason why the OTA is reporting an issue while flashing the package with the squashfs enabled TWRP is because the script gets a string back that's not identical with the one it expects. Maybe someone could "hack out" that check and make it TWRP flashable.

No the problem is the TWRP was built on an old base of the LG G watch specifically the last 5.1.1 update so the zip thinks the whole system is still on 5.1.1 as TWRP is still on that. I don't think the 6.0.1 source has been released yet so I don't think a recovery could be built with a 6.0.1 base of the lg g watch.

I actually think there are more than 1 cores activate at a time now, the watch has gotten pretty fast with the latest updates and so on, I don't even feel the need for a custom kernel anymore since that.

Nope after about 1 minute after boot the phone locks to 787mhz with userspace governor and I can confirm there is no CPU hotplug aswell. I don't know how you survive with the abysmal lag but ok cool. During the first minute of boot for whatever reason it uses 2 cores and ondemand, would rather have that always lol.

Tried, didn't work. My guess is that it didn't handle squash FS. I was left with dead Android guy on the screen
For everyone to enjoy HERE is the stock kernel, @EpicLPer add this to the op to save everyone some trouble. NOTE: you have to boot to system once before the stock recovery is restored. Also it is a twrp backup so you have to adb push it to /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/ to use it. If someone could just get the boot.img raw that would be great, I was too lazy to do it lel.

Either I have some leftovers of an old kernel (which I don't think, or, hope) or I'm having a magic LG Watch

Roasted Marshmallow [6.0.1] Super Debloated

Built for my Dev Edition but should work on the converted retail devices.
1. Full backup
2. Wipe EVERYTHING
3. Flash Roasted Marshmallow V2
4. Enjoy.
What's removed... everything. I only kept the Google stuff that reinstalls itself anyway and the base stuff to run the phone. Allshare, ANT, knox, verizon apps, etc. All gone.
this is a rebuild of the rom from an ADB pull of my current build without the apps i added for my daily use. should be pretty much bare bones.
android version: 6.0.1
baseband: cpd1
Kernel : 3.10.40 ([email protected]) [the one in the "marshmallow bootloader unlock" thread, i didnt change this]
thanks goes out to the devs that made the bootloader unlock thats made this possible for so many more people that didnt have an original dev edition.

Sent from my SM-N915V using XDA-Developers mobile app
Oops, try the link now. I am not used to sharing with mega yet.
Also on a side note, the WiFi may be broken because i am still using the KK bootloader 1ANL1. When i upgraded to MM i skipped out on the bootloader and just flashed the modded stock tar withough a bootloader so i wouldnt overwrite my dev edition boot.
those who took the update may not have a WiFi issue, but i included it in the broken because it is broken on mine and that may not be the only issue. if you flash it on yours and the WiFi works then i'll know thats the issue and i'll just change it to "WiFi broken if you are still using 1ANL1 bootloader".
also if you still cant download with that link let me know, and i'll move it to dropbox or something else.
Edit: WiFi fixed when I updated bootloader. So if you are on native Dev Edition do the full process where you flash the non Dev bootloader, convert back to Dev then upgrade to MM. Then you can flash in TWRP and all should go well.

Okay I flashed it and nothing happened, I just factory resetted and flashed it again and all the apps are still there. I also just upgraded to twrp 3.0.2.0 so I am going to downgrade it again and see if that was the reason nothing happened.
Downgraded back to TWRP 3.0.0.0 and flashed it again, and still no changes

There's another debloat script that works on our phones, the problem is it deletes so many things that it also removes access to private mode, it's here thanks to Danterape
Ok it only works on that particular rom apparently, it causes bootloops on stock
I tried installing the rom and it took awhile to boot up. I was able to connect to my wifi but setup forced closed before the end. I was forced to go through setup again and again with the same force close. I tried to go through setup with wifi, without wifi, with my sim card, without my sim card. It made no difference. I am on lollipop 5.01
I took a look at the zip, and it looked awfully small. There seems to be a LOT of files missing, and several empty folders that a normal ROM would have chock FULL of stuff. Like, the "priv-app" app folder is 100% empty. What happened to all the file that should be there? And the list of stuff in "system/app" ends at "FlashAnnotateSvc". There should be a ton more things there.
Is there something I'm missing here?
sorry my internet is bad lately, it probably got corrupted, i'll take it down and re-up i'll remove the links until fixed.
the file is on my laptop so i'll have to try it from there later this evening. sorry for inconvenience. Also if anyone wants it i can upload the archi kitchen files i used in making it.
Sounds good. I'm actually using your zip as a reference for mine. Might need some help getting mine going more.

Sounds great, i'd love to work with you on this. myself being limited on time it'd be nice to have someone to bounce ideas to/from. I am still relatively new to rom making so it'd be an excellent learning experience for me as well. not sure what tools you are using currently, but i am running archi kitchen on linux mint 18. the kitchen isnt officially supported anymore so it took a bit to setup, but i find it easy to use. at least it was pretty easy for 4.4.4.... 6.0.1 is giving me a little headache, lol copying the system folder keeps getting interrupted, which i overlooked before somehow, but many of the odex files are >100kb and terminal emulator keeps throwing an error out, so right now i am running adb and pulling the folder that way. once i repack it you can have a huge head start there
here is the old 4.4.4 zip
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gfy850bbb9aq18n/superdebloatedwithalittlebloat.zip?dl=0
for reference...
Uploads finished, enjoy and let me know what you think.
Still can't get native tethering running but luckily foxfi still runs on 6.0.1
I have same phone as you, and it just bootloops--gets to screen with Custom, and reboots. (V2)
NekoShinigami, if you want to use my v2.00 ROM as a base, go for it. Might save you quite a bit of headache. I tend to find it much easier if you start by using a factory image, and go from there.
I tried flashing again and it runs fine for me. Did you get the full 1.18gb? I'll take another look at it again.
Also did you upgrade to the unlocked 6.0.1 bootloader?
Edit: nevermind I just read in the other thread that you did not, that is most likely why you are boot looping. This rom and the kernel that is in it won't run on the 1ANL1 bootloader.

Yeah like I said it need some repair I am pretty sure the mount points aren't perfect and I didn't compile it I had to use an otg and mouse to navigate

What I did to navigate was I had to push the power button then it would bring the screen up where you can swipe the bottom to unlock the screen and use touchscreen. Navigating the storage was odd because it shows it is stuck on Internal storage, but If i click on SDCard, it will take me to that directory. I hope there is a nice update to this is the near future, so we don't have to access it through "adb reboot recovery"
You can flash it if you like I just don't trust this copy yet waiting for an update before I flash it
You can use" fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" to flash rather than "fastboot boot twrp.img " to boot it

Oh man you were so right. I had it flashed and it caused me all kinds of problems, like booting the screen upside down etc. I was finally able to find the recovery.img in another thread and get back the stock recovery. I think I will also wait until there is a more stable TWRP version.
I always use boot to test and I always backup my recovery before flashing because I had that happen to me before

The 20170218 recovery works perfectly with my phone (6/64gb, 820). The first one posted in the OP worked, but was a bit glitchy. The updated one has working SD reading and touchscreen works without having to lock it first.
Could someone please tell me why twrp is booting upside down on my device, and how do I fix it? I just tried to run it in fastboot boot twrp-3.0.3-0-Z016D-20170218.img and once again it loads upside down, however the touch screen is where it normally is suppose to be, which makes it very difficult to navigate the menus. It is very frustrating. This has happened to me multiple times this week. I can't seem to get it to boot/load properly.

I really don't want to wipe everything and start all over from scratch because everything else is working great right now. I guess if there is no easy solution, then I will just leave it alone. I ran it with fastboot and then made a backup and saved it on my microSD card. But I am worried if I wipe everything and start all over again, then I will have to call my bank again to verify my cards for Android pay. I am running the stock firmware version 1698, with stock recovery, an unlocked bootloader, & rooted. Also have Magisk & Titanium Pro installed, and I verified that Andoid pay works for me. (I already bought something using Android pay).

I flashed Magisk v11.1 with TWRP, then installed Magisk Manager from the Google Play Store, after I rebooted my device. I did that by booting in to TWRP with fastboot to flash the .zip file. I did not flash TWRP to install Magisk.
