BootAnimation(LG Solution) - LG Optimus L3 II, L5 II, L7 II, L9 II

I make this because I tried to change the bootanimation in my LG Optimus L7 II but I can't, all the tutorials doesn't work for my device and here I found the way, it is on cust/poweron (I found that adress in Bin/bootanimation file).
===REQUIREMENTS===
* You have to be ROOT user
* Have a custom bootanimation.zip
* Download Root explorer
The key is not only in:
[/system/media/bootanimation.zip]
You have to change the custom bootanimation.zip on [/cust /poweron/bootanimation.zip] too.
So first of all put the custom bootanimation.zip on the external SD, then with the Root explorer go to system/media and replace the original file "bootanimation.zip" to the new one on your external SD. Then go to cust/poweron and do the same thing. Now your device's company bootanimation is replaced for the custom that you've downloaded.
Here I upload a random bootanimation for you to test it and then you can search another which you like more.
Peace guys, hope this works for you!

In my P710, i only change in /system/media/bootanimation.zip, and it works, till i change bootanimation packed with UOT kitchen canges.
After that, no matter how i change bootanimation.zip only in /system/media/, it stays same.
I try to see your procedure, but on my P710, is no /poweron under /custom folder...
I found bootanimation.zip in /data/local/ folder, and only delete it. No more problem with changing bootanimation.zip only in /system/media/.

Q> about boot animation?

When installing a custom boot animation can i just use Root Explorer to move the .zip to /System/Media folder ... And will that work? do i need to remove anything?
Root Explorer FTW! That's what I always use to move my animations. I found it a good practice to delete or move the previous bootanimation.zip because I had a suspicion that overwriting it with the new one didn't always work properly. I didn't do a lot of research on this however, but, I figure, better safe than sorry. Why not eliminate potential problems before they arise? Just make sure the original bootanimation.zip isn't in the /data/local file as that is another place the animation can be stored and work from. I actually think it looks in that folder first before browsing the /system/media folder. Hope this helps.

[Q] boot animation

does some one succeded to change boot animation ?
Yes, i found a nice guide somewhere in a thread in this forums. Sry, but can't remember where, maybe you can find it by using the search ;-) .
the problem is that zip file dont work for sga
The tutorial i folled, worked by moving and copying some files in the filesystem (root needed)...
I'll search it tomorrow if you/no one else finds a link to the guide.

hello guys i want to share how to change your bootanimation zip to custom animation,
im currently still using froyo, so if you use custom rom the steps might be different,
but should work for GBKPE too,
i download the bootanimation files from this thread
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905538
here's the steps :
things u need :
-ROOTED ACE
-ROOT Explorer installed or similiar app
-rename the animation you download to "bootanimation.zip"
-paste the bootanimation.zip you downloaded into your sdcard, anywhere is fine
-use root explorer open the system/bin
-look for the "samsungloop" file, move it to your sdcard first, just in case, you can either move it or copy it again to another place, (in my case, i copy it into system/ and another to my sdcard)
-go to system/bin ,look for "bootanimation", and rename it to "samsungloop", if you use ROOT explorer, don't forget to change the previlege first, change R/W permission first to R/O,,,(the bootanimation is not the file where you rename your animation you downloaded to be bootanimation.zip)
-put the "bootanimation.zip" (the file you downloaded and rename it's names) to
system/media
-in system/media, there are 2 files if i'm not mistaken, bot of the files are with the extension .qmq, just rename it with root explorer to .qm extension file
-reboot your galaxy ACE
-done
if you follow my steps well, you should see your animation after reboot, if it's just a blank screen, then you do some mistakes in the steps,
feel free to ask if you still don't understand , sory for my bad english though

Stock Boot Animation

I need help with restoring the stock Galaxy S2 boot animation.
This was what happened. I installed jrummy's Root Tools.
In my eagerness, I replaced the original boot animation without backing up!
Now when I want to undo the changes that has been done, many an online search suggested going to system/media and removing bootanimation.zip so that bootsamsung and bootsamsungloop can work their magic...
And here is where the problem is, bootanimation.zip is nowhere to be found!
I wonder if Root Tools had totally overwritten bootsamsung and bootsamsungloop.
All I want is to get back the original bootanimation sequence.
Can anyone help with this? TIA!!!
Here is the original bootanimation
Just unzip the attached zip file and copy and paste the attached bootsamsung.qmp and bootsamsungloop.qmg to system/media and you are done..
BTW is your poweron sound intact??
Thanks bro! The poweron sound is still present.
I have resolved the problem. Apparently, I have been going at it wrongly.
I had been using Astro as file manager but it didn't allow me to access data/local where bootanimations.zip was.
After I switched to RootExplorer and removed the offending file, voila!

I am pretty sure you need to use a root file explorer, i would recomend root browser lite - https://market.android.com/details?...xLDEsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkucm9vdC5icm93c2VyZnJlZSJd
bootanimation.zip shows for me in system/media/ using root explorer

Original boot animation files are not zip files .
Two QMG files .
You want to read the instructions for the bootanimation you want to flash .
jje
if your using a root with nand unlock, you can use absolute system root from the app market and download and apply hundreds of boot animations if thats any help mate.
just place the bootanimation.zip in system/media
if want sound just put in system/etc/ (name it > PowerOn.wav ) this is not mp3..
My devices is Realme C12 and I have rooted it.. But there is no Boot Animation.zip in system/media and if I try to paste a bootanimation.zip there it gives me an error.. Root is Properly installed and I am using Solid Explorer.

[Q] Working ICS Nexus bootanimation for LPQ

Hello i am having some difficulties trying to install the Nexus Prime boot animation onto my ressurection 1.0 rom.
as soon as i try to flash the zip , it shows a conflict because of my rom begin LPJ and the zip being XWKJ2
is there anyway to bypass this ?
http://www.mediafire.com/?xud5itp25thpdpe
all credit for the file goes to BigBang
Why don't you just pull the bootanimation.zip from that file and put it in your /system/media ?
i was always i bit cautious about messing around in root explorer but i did some searching about the root system/media folder , extracted the bootanimation.zip ( and the sanim.zip just to be sure )
placed them into the corresponding folders and it worked !, thanks for the info
