Dear friends,
I have been searched for the solution for Facebook video problem for long time. Whenever I play any shared video from Facebook app, I always got error messages (see attachment photo).
If anyone have same problem please share your story.

Yea i do get that too, but randomly.
Must be software bug i guess.
Happens only in the new fb version downgrade to the older one for now untill they fix the issue

Try deleting the cache/data on Facebook app.
I didn't Download the old version just uninstalled all the updates in settings try that

I have the same isue, have tried everything people have mentioned so far, I have even done a factory reset but still the same, I have raised a ticket with facebook but no reply from them.
i have the same issue and its not from the xperia fw. i also have that issue in a S4 and in a chinese inew v3
Just get the older version of Facebook ppl for now as it doesn't have the video playback issues

Yes - same on my xperia P.
Please test the following:
deinstallation of the latest facebook update, so facebook app is on stock version
try the sychronisation
profile pictures should now be there
after that you can update the facebook app to latest version
But I have problems seeing pictures on ppls profiles

You can open the pic but its not showing anything?
Or theres no way to see the pictures/albums people have on their facebook profile?
If its the last here, I and everyone els have the same problem. The facebook app is ****ed up, nothing you can do. But you can try Friendcaster app.

It's not displaying topics or favorites. Keeps saying can't find posts or that it failed to connect to database.

Works fine for me. Check your connection and clear your app data if the problem persists.

I've had similar problems before the only solution that worked for me was un installing and reinstalling the app. Any one use ivona speech engine, I'm having issues with it, keeps stop responding, along with Facebook after latest update.

I had same issues so I had to switch to Tapatalk app. That works perfectly for me.

Get rid of the ad blocking apps. For some reason, they don't play nicely with the XDA app.

I use AdAway. No issues on the XDA app.
Its funny because I thought I was the only one having issues with the xda app. Didnt want to make a thread because I thought "it works fine for me" statement would be the only response. This is both xda and xda premium app for some reason.
Im having issues on 3 samsung devices. Galaxy note, sg3 and galaxy note 10.1.

Mines been doing stuff lately, I believe it's all server side.
First my profile "didn't exist" that came back 2 days ago
Yesterday I got something like " search not available "
All ok today though.
I'm sure I read a few days back they've been changing stuff on the server.

Don't know if I'm missing something here but I can't seem to save video to scrapbooker using my s pen. When I try an do it I draw the circle and it just saves the image not the video. Anyone else having this problem or am I just doing something wrong!

Yeah I had that issue. I read it's due to the recent update to YouTube. But the alternate route to take is hitting the share button of the YouTube video and share it to your scrapbook that way.

I uninstalled youtubes updates and it works now perfectly... also I noticed an improvement in video quality after uninstalling updates to youtube..

It's a FB problem. Just have to wait for an update. I'm a FB beta tester and it has been reported.

Try to reinstall the app, if ur trying to use old Facebook app reset the app preferences
i tried reinstalling it many times. first beta and i leave beta to try the other. still no luck. thanks anyway

Having the same thing. Plays about 10-20 seconds then freezes. If I open the Facebook app on my old Galaxy S3 and try the same video it plays fine.
This is quite annoying. I also encountered this problem only on my Z2. My other device plays well...

If possible uninstall all updates down to v 6.0.0.28.28 if not possible just Google this version and install it videos should work then we just need to wait for Facebook to fix their s#itty app.

I don't think this bug from facebook.apk because others device like samsung, lenovo and etc work properly... Maybe this bug from stock fw...

So...
I decided to use group play using Android 4.1.2, while my friend's sgs 3 is on Android 4.3 . Needless to say... despite all of my attempts to make it work, nothing happened... so can anyone please help me make this thing work or am I just waisting my time?
