Vibeui 1.5 official stable kitkat version - Lenovo P780

VibeUI 1.5 stable kitkat rom released,
VibeUI 1.5 Stable

Idk what the point of this post...
No tutorial.
No screenshoot.
No information.
And i saw some post about vibe ui before this post.
Sent from my Lenovo P780

I will download and see what he can or cannot do this weekend! My Lenovo is shaking fom now .

Bah! This is still the Chinese version with a bit of English. WIll wait for the proper ROW version, don't fancy having Chinese apps on my phone with text I can't read.
I wonder if Lenovo have finally fixed the LED on this ROM so it blinks for mails, whatsapp and facebook.

no need to worry about tutorials and screenshots. installation procedure is same as previously released version of this vibeui 1.5 rom. for tutorials u can find it here or at needrom.com also.
so many of p780 lovers were eagerly waiting for the kitkat update so only i posted the direct official link for download. this is not my own mod rom or modded by anyone.
if anyone wants an upgrade can download, test and use themself. i just only notified to others that's all.

Step 3: Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
Step 4: Brush complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while
I hope it help.

There's custom version of this stable rom on 4pda for flash with Flash Tool:
http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=566352&st=40#entry30980497
Rom have gapps, it is rooted and work very good...
Stock rom downloaded from official site, you can install that rom throw TWRP, but you first must be on chinese partition table, so if you have ROW phone, first install X Vibe v3 (with Flash Tool) than throw twrp install stock rom like a any other custom rom... But, its easier to just install rom from link above...

Must be on Chinese firmware first, if you lazy for gapps and root use modified rom from 4pda.ru... They have included root and gapps.

Personally I dont really like the ROM. Its not as fast as it should be, it shows signs of lagging every now and then.
Apart from that the launcher is pretty awful, chinese themed, the kind that I despise. Everything is not translated and it kinda annoys me that they are using their ****ty voice recognition instead of the google now.
I used to have the lenovo JB launcher, which was decent and light, but I had to use JB. I hope that a new ROM comes soon, using the stock launcher instead.
Im thinking of reinstalling the previous ROM and wait for a new custom one.

Just a warning : read on the Chinese forum (release notes for VIBE 1.5, using Google translate), that all development on VIBE 1.5 will be halted, in favor of VIBE 2.0, that would be available in a month.
P780 devices are on the list of devices that would be able to run VIBE 2.0.
Therefore, I'm not sure if it's worth going through all the trouble of getting it set up and stable on your phone right now.
Also, if anybody can confirm what I -tried to- read ?
Here is the link : http://translate.google.com/transla...&u=http://bbs.lenovo.com/vibeui-fabu/t378590/

Can this ROM ported to Micromax A116???

So, still no ROW version for 8 gb units yet? I have read that in some places the P780 has had OTA kitkat updates but I can't confirm them. Anyone got an update on the release of a ROW version?

[Q] Lenovo S960 Vibe X ROM suggestions..

Hi guys,
I just got the Lenovo Vibe X S960 recently and the first thing I noticed was that though the mobile is great.. the OS sucks!!! I want to install a custom rom but I can't find ANY rom specifically tailored for the vibe X. Even here in XDA lenovo s960 does not appear on the list of devices.
I would very much appreciate if someone could recommend me which stable ROMs I could use with the vibe x and preferably post a link.

the phone comes with bulit-in drivers and software package. you could just install the driver package from there. plug your phone in and browse the phone storage space that shows up in my computer.

1. The rom you wanna port is from mtk6592 and your phone has mtk6589
So that can be hard or not possible
2. Also you wanna port a CyanogenMod rom so its harder
3. And currently I am a bit busy with my exams and stuff so it can take time, so you'll have to wait
4. What Android version is your device currently having?

Thanks a lot.
This rom is in development state. Have a lot bugs and some unstable. Some apps crash fatality errors and not open later.
The worst bug is the charge not pass to the 80%.

Create your own account.
Just visit the official Vibe UI rom (use chrome or google translate if you don't understand chinese), they already release, a "more" stable, DEV version of Vibe 1.5.
Many already confirmed that lot of bugs had solved in this version, including the charging process can't reach 100%.
Just backup your current rom and try it, be sure that you already installed China base rom.

Recovery : TWRP 2.8.3
Current ROM: Alice Project 9.0.1(Kitkat)
When i flash this from the recovery it says the rom has successfully installed ..but when i reboot the phone...it get stucks on the boot logo.
Then i tried flashing this on the VIBE ROM 2.0...still no progress..
Meanwhile, MIUI v6 5.6.3 beta version is working(source : needrom) is working perfectly....
please help...i want to use this ROM...
I guess the problem might be with the Stock ROM which is CN based or maybe with the TWRP recovery. Please help
No USB storage
One thing for sure is i can't get my phone connected as removable device, it just charge the battery. dunno with the USB OTG i assume it will be the same...failed. And i dunno i kinda lost network connection with x mark no signal notification bar, i've tried to put the sim card into my old HTC saga and it works just fine, and i've tried to install the modems it still the same. However the installation run smoothly. I wish mine doesn't have a network problem then it would be awesome.

Try this: reflash a fresh ROM.
The firmware you have installed in the first time is a little bit modified.
Try a stock firmware(i sugest stock ROW version) then install MIUI.

[TOOL] FIRMWARE BASE SWITCHER for A6000 PLUS

Its really annoying and time consuming when we have to flash KITKAT ROM over LOLLIPOP / MARSHMALLOW / NOUGAT or vice versa. Some time ago, another xda member @rahulsnair, made the small sized (~1MB) zips, after flashing which you can directly flash L/M/N ROMs over KK or KK ROMs over L/M/N. What these ZiPs contained were essentially the updated modem files from the different firmwares. Unfortunately that was for A6000 1GB RAM version only. So, I replaced the files in that zip and modified it for A6000 plus. Using these would save you from the trouble of downloading over 1GB of stock ROM and flashing it first and ofcourse will save your precious time too.
All the credits goes to @rahulsnair only. I just replaced the files.
●●●HOW TO USE●●●
1) First boot into TWRP or any other recovery you have and wipe system, data, cache, dalvik.
2) Now flash the required zip. (e.g. if you want to move from Kitkat to Lollipop or Marshmallow or Nougat, flash KK2L zip)
3) Then flash the ROM you wanted.

Well, technically, the L2KK zip should work for you. First wipe system, data, dalvik, cache and then flash this zip. Later, you can flash the KK ROM.
Are you talking about stock lollipop to kitkat or cyanogen mod. Coz there is a cm file inside that zip

Yeah....that made me think too....its weird right..!!??
But, the same has earlier worked for Lenovo A6000 (check the tagged post in OP). So, I just replaced the .mbn files (of which I have no idea what they are for) with the ones from Lenovo A6000 plus. So, it should work for A6000 plus users. But, since I didn't tried that on my own, so I'm not 100% sure. Well, I'll really appreciate if you'll provide a feedback later.
And, "L" here represents all the Lollipop based ROMs (and Marshmallow too), MIUI, CM, MOKEE and others; and not just stock Lollipop.
Waiting for your feedback...

You can download the zips from the attachments.
Also, please consider voting in the POLL I've added in this thread, that will help others to know if this works.

I've personally checked both the L2KK and KK2L zips. Both of them works.
Steps to How To Use:-
1) First wipe cache, dalvik, data, system and then flash the L2KK zip.
2) Then reboot to recovery again.
3) Now again wipe the cache, dalvik, data, system
4) Now, flash the KitKat based ROM zip of your choice.

Yeah you can flash any kitkat based rom (stock too) after that.
But, to flash stock, you don't actually need to flash this L2KK zip. The files in the zip are actually taken from the stock ROM only.
So, you should directly flash the stock KitKat without flashing this mod.

[ROM][PORT][5.1.1] MIUI 9 Global (v8.4.19-dev) port for Vibe K5+ (a6020a46)

Hi all,
Here is my first ported ROM, tested on my device, I cannot say for other devices : MIUI 9 Global
What's working :
wifi
bluetooth
camera (photo and video)
recording photos and videos on SD card and multiple camera options
"Smart SIM switch" (it's my way to call it ) : switching automatically the network type (2G, 3G, 4G) to always have 3G or 4G on the active data SIM
What's not : don't know yet Tell me and I'll try to fix it if I can.
Little reminder about MIUI and its flavours :
MIUI China : it's the base of all other flavours of MIUI (http://en.miui.com/)
MIUI Global : it's the one with the biggest amount of languages, Gapps and some other apps (http://en.miui.com/)
MIUI Pro : it's another very good one with less preinstalled apps, less languages, developped by a belarus team if I'm not mistaken (https://miuipro.by/)
MIUI su : it's a russian version but I never tested it... (https://miui.su/)
Other reminder : it's a PORT from the Xiaomi Redmi 3 device (whose specs are very close to the K5+, that's why it's possible), so I will not be able to add/modify/remove features (I'm not a dev).
Flash at your own risk, I'm not responsible for any damage or brick.
Don't hesitate to wait 20 minutes for the first boot.

Hi all,
Here is my first ported ROM, tested on my device, I cannot say for other devices : MIUI 9 Global v8.3.22 developper ROM (from the 22nd of march 2018)
What's working :
wifi
bluetooth
camera (photo and video)
What's not : don't know yet Tell me and I'll try to fix it if I can.
Little flaw : due to the packaging of the initial ROM, I was not able to modify build.prop to change the brand and name of the device (in about section), but you can do it by editing the file in /system/build.prop after installing and then reboot. It has no secondary effects, and you can change the name of your device (for bluetooth mainly).

Just a suggestion:
Can you please put all the new patch links in the OP so that people will be able to access them easily because most of the time they hardly read posts and start a chaos.

First of all, just in case, my device is A6020a46 (K5+) 2Gb variant. I do not guarantee for other phones (in fact I guarantee it won't work on K5 device).
On my side I use TWRP 3.2.1 (last version), please check your version. Do you have errors while installing ? How do you proceed ?
For the way to port, I've compared some ported roms with original Redmi3 ROMs and put into a patch all different files (with the help of @mays81 who ported many ROMs for K5+ and told me which files fix what).
By changing boot.img and "firmware" folder in the original zip, and then flash the patch with minor changes in it, it should work for any MIUI ROMs...
