Hi Guys, I'm very new to android device so bare with me on this. I have just switched my phone from Iphone5 to Note3. I love the phone it's big bright screen very thing is nice. I am also a video freak I like to take a lot of video of my dogs on post it on Facebook. After a while I return to the video I uploaded it and the quality of the videos was CRAP!! I have no clue what I did wrong or what option I didn't choose. I went into the menu to see if I have checked on the UPLOAD HD VIDEO option like on iphone. Holly Shoot!! I love this little phone. It continues to surprise me at every turn.
I discovered slow motion video today.

With the camera app open, push the A in the top right, first option - slow motion video.
The panoramic shots come out nice too

Wow im an idiot. I saw every single option under the "A" except the slow motion video one. Dont know how I didnt notice that.
amazing! phone is spectacular!
Noticed this last night after seeing it in a post. I love it! And its actually real slow motion, not just a video slowed down lol

Sure is, except there is limitations on the res. i.e. no HD slow mo. Still cool
Going out to get some landscape shots in the mountains today. Panaorama inc!
I tried this feature inside my house. For some reason when I click record the screen goes a little darker and that's the way the video comes out as well.
Very cool never the less. Maybe ill try it tomorrow outside.

That's the way photography works... Slow motion is more frames per second, which translates to faster shutter speeds which allow less light into the sensor. Hence darker video unless the iso is boosted, then it gets too grainy... Good light will make a big difference...
It makes NO SENSE (no pun) for the phone to not have slow motion HD recording. None. Buddy of mine at work has the Resound, and we record 720p slow motion all the time. Checked the file's resolution, and it is full 720p. Why would a NEWER phone from the same manufacturer with better hardware and newer software... backpedal?
Pop Player (Speed-Control Video Player)
I highly recommend the free Pop Player app. I recently made a couple of reviews on it on YouTube.
This new video player allows the user to utilize speed-control. The slow-motion
and speeded-motion are extremely smooth too and audio syncs perfectly with
the video at any speed. It can definitely be useful for athletes and students.
Some people I know even use it to replay their golf swings in slow-motion
in order to improve their form.
This player plays MP4 files that contain H264 and AC codecs.

Do you have the .apk, because this player is no longer in the Google play store. Disregard, I found it in the play store, I should've looked thoroughly the first time.

It is now listed as Stick It. Not free anymore.

Why does a video player need all those permissions? Read phone state and identity, retrieve running apps, kill background processes, discover accounts, market billing service. It may all be legit, but I wasn't taking any chances. Deleted the app without even running it as soon as I saw the permissions. Should have noticed it before installing the app.

[Q]Videoplay playing while Display is switched off

Hi,
i am searching for an Video Player that Plays the Video while the Screen is switched Off.
I am using the Samsung Galaxy S2 device, and all Video Players from the Play Store i tried are stopping the Video when i switch off the Screen.
It might seems unusual to play a video while the Screen is switched off, but i hope someone could help me.
I asked this on some other Internet-Forums, but no one was able to help me, so i was hoping to find someone on the biggest comunity i know.
Sorry for my bad English.
leMe.
sorry for pushing this thread, but is there realy no app in the android universe that supports my wanted Feature?

Waving strippes while playing vids. *Xperia U*

Hi guys. Firstable I want to say hello, because im new here. I will start instantly:
I've got a problem with my Xperia u. Since i've installed eXpirience v2 (before i was using stock rom and i haven't noticed any video bugs) strange thing happened to my phone :E. When i am trying to play any video using player "films" or "ES Video player" i can see semi-transparent stippes which are more visible when i'm opening gui. I'm not sure if it's caused by damaged phone or software becasue i bought my Xperia a week ago and i have installed eXpirience one hour after my phone arrived to me. I hope you will forgive me mistakes. I'm learning english yet and i can't speak perfectly. Thank you for reading my topic and i hope you will say me what is the reason of my problem and may solution.
If it's just videos, it's a software problem. Try to play your videos with MX player and if there is no changes, try to reinstall the ROM or change your ROM! I find eXperience very uglyyyyy

Seems like it's happening while playing videos only. When I'm exploring websites or menu or even playing games it looks like everyting is ok. I'll try to install new ROM and give a sign here if new soft is the solution.
Edit: MX Player is doing the same : ( I'll try to reinstall ROM and install stock for example, but i will to it tomorrow. After testing i will post here how it's working
We've got a problem. When i'm exploring internet i can see the same strippes but only horizontally and only in one part of the screen. They're also visible only at site. I can't see it on Opera bar or that bar at the top of the screen.

Change the decoder to sw instead of hw..it will work..and untick the 2d hardware rendering option in developer option
Sent from my ST25i using xda premium
2d rendering is unticked by default. I have changed decoder and so far seems like everything is ok while playing videos. Hope it will keep actual condition. Thank you guys and got one more question: Why is it happening when i'm exploring websites and only if there's a picture on the screen? What is the reason?

Camera, aosp video.

Hey , guys . so my phone has been acting weird lately. My also camera doesn't work very well. I'm on hyperdrive and every time I take a picture it looks great but video is just really blurry but only on the also camera. Also the tw camera works great but most of the time when I try to watch my videos that I've recorded , it tells me that the video can't be played. It happened on hyperdrive and on eclipse. I'm on ss and me7 . also now my videos that I had got deleted automatically after rebooting the phone. HELP PLEASE.

GOOD and decent Video editor for android?

Ok, so as we android fans know, no android app can possibly beat Imovie for Ios, and i can confirm that because i even bought the pro versions of the 5 "best" editors on the playstore and tried many free ones.
I'm not saying they su*k but they are not at full potential, they can't even put a video inside a video.
And of course i'm not saying these thing randomly, i've worked with Imovie for half an year and then i switched to android.
Ok, so if you know an android app better than Vivavideo, kinemaster, video show, movie FX and others present in the playstore i would really apreciate it.
Even paid, it's really not a problem.
Thanks for your time and have a great day!

No there is nothing better. Android and IOS focus on different things. That is not a major focus for a mobile phone.

Hi I have a different question but very related with the one of S1luX and it is ...
Is there a Android video editor which can simply double the original frame rate of the video, i.e. if you have 720p shot [email protected], this app to simply be able to convert the video into buttery smooth [email protected] video ? There is such option with MediaConverter apk, but simply it is not working ... And as of now ALL the apps from Play Store (and even the iMovie can't do this) are not able to double the frame rate of the video ... Such 30 FPS to 60 FPS(or even more) is only possible in a PC ... It is not even possible in Adobe Clip ...
Why???
Snapdragon 820 is having powerful enough CPU and GPU ?
