Depends on how you use your phone. It can stand normal usage and slight abuse.
But dirt, sand, keys will get it scratched.

Neither Oleophobic coating, nor scratch resistant. Its IPS LCD panel, as said.

But I have seen screens with the gorilla glass outside and IPS LCD inside.
Rather, many phones use the scratch resistant glass.

I put a screen protector on it ANY WAY.

Do you have a specific nanotech product in mind?
I am assuming you mean one of the liquid screen protector ones?

I wuold like to try the liquid screen protector
it has some advantages of tpu (perfect fit)
and glass(5 hardness) and shock protection
I don't know if this qualifies:
http://www.iqshield.com/iq31288-htc-u11-phone-screen-protector.html
but it works like a charm (although I am extra extra careful & protective with my U11 Solar-Red beauty) - no smudge or fingerprint marks either compared to plastic screen protecters.

Factory screen protector

Have you kept it or removed? I read that the P10 lacked the oleophobic coating on the screen, is that the case with Mate 10 too or is it safe to be removed?
Also read somewhere that this is only intended as protection for transport by Huawei rather than a longer term use screen protector. Is that true?
I don't know these answers, but mine has began to lift at the camera. I treat it pretty gentle, so I'm going to replace it soon.
It does have a coating and the protector feels great. Obviously won't last forever and you will have to replace it
I remove it in order to put the glass protector,
from what i feel, it got scratch too easily, but well, its plastic after all...
i bought from china and it has SCREEN PROTECTOR with glass *NOT* sett well as a mm of thescreen is not totally set and the sreen is not totallyu covered.
I took mine off. Much better without it.
I have a glass one. Bought the phone from Beijing. But it's not totally well adjusted. The left side is all moved away. The screen glass protector falls short.
rjust FYI, someone do the test in youtube(probably xda user cmiiw??)
seems like mate 10 do have oleophobic coting if screen protector removed. anyone care to test?
link to youtube is below.

Wish I had kept mine on, tried three different tempered glass screen protectors and they suck, non fit right with the screen curving at the edges

want to check if the oleophobic coating is there or not on your unit, coz it is a deal breaker for me if it isn't there since I prefer touching the glass directly. Thanks

"oleophobic" is a word used to describe a type of material, which lacks an affinity to oils, ergo – it keeps fingerprint spots off of a glass panel.
basically after touch the screen, not too much fingerprint smudge retained. in a screen with no coating, the fingerprint will drive you crazy

follow up question will be is it easy to removed?
good coating should allow your phone looks clean after quick wipe with clothes or tissue., does your phone do the same?

Huawei Mate 10 pro oleophobic coating
Huawei Mate 10 pro has oleophobic coating on its back. You can see the later part of this video.
But the coating can be gradually removed by daily use. So i think we need a phone case.

No. I don't think it guess. To compensate same, device comes with screen protector pre-applied. But same is not tempered protection though.
I don't know for sure, but in a review video by geeky Ranjit , he mentioned that it has gorilla glass 3.
In fb they've mentioned as gorilla glass 3

should i apply tempered glass

Should i apply tempered glass screen or i will left with company given protect
Yes, you can apply Temper glass. The touch responsive is good after applying that.

Yes, the screen is very prone to scratches, also i would suggest to get the back laminated as well.
But doesn't this come with a screen protector pre-applied?? If anyone has taken it off... Can you tell me how it compares to a regular tempered glass screen protector?

Well, in india you can easily get your phone laminated at almost any mobile accessories shop, it should only cost you about 50-100 rs/ an American dollar or two.
Where are you from?

Phone lamination is that invisible liquid coating?
That even applies to glass right? If yes then can I apply tempered on top of that?

No, not a liquid coating bro, you are confused it's nothing like that. It's an adhesived transparent plastic film which can be used to protect the outside of your phone from scratches.

The factory applied screenguard is great, it doesn't get better than that. Also not many options in the market right now, better to wait.
